A New Jersey police chief is taking an early retirement following a physical altercation with one of his sergeants that was caught on bodycam. The mayor of Bradley Beach says Chief Leonard Guida is retiring effective March 1st, six months earlier than planned. An investigation was launched into his conduct during a traffic accident back in November, during which he criticized a responding sergeant about a jacket he was wearing. Now he can drink all day long.
Safer without him you mean.
A drunk police chief showing up to a DWI case and being a belligerent drunk trying to pull rank. He was allowed to retire honorably with a full pension? This was not justice served. Complete turd making all police look bad. Good sergeant. Terrible now EX Chief. It would be in New Jersey.
The chief should have been fired. If anyone else would have done that they would have ended up in jail. Driving drunk and interfering in a police investigation? I don’t care how many years of service he has it doesn’t excuse his actions. The mayor and him must be buddies.
Why wasn't the chief arrested for driving DRUNK ? Because he is a Sovereign Citizen and laws do not apply to them…
On a full pension I bet! Good on the Sargent
Retured drunk, what a punishment.
Retires early with full benefits…..hummmm💅🏽
Welcome done Sargent Billy…👏🏽👏🏽..
Thank You!..
Why wasn’t the chief investigated for DUI? The cop gave a known drunk person their keys back to drive away. Blue line gangbangers watch out for their own.
So the police chief is a full blown alcoholic , and the mayor let him be chief for this long, they knew he was a low life drunk to begin with, sue the city, bring charges against the mayor, sue them all, nothign but losers, all of them.
The sergeant was in control of his behavior the whole time and did a great job.
Drunk again the whole police station has to answer for allowing a Drunk to operate in the station,,,,,its on all of them,,,,,,
HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN CHARGED!!!! SCREW THE RETIREMENT/ HE BROKE THE LAW!!! HE IS NOT ABOVE THE LAW!! THEY WOULD HAVE CHARGED US AND THREW THE BOOK AWAY ON US IF THAT WAS US MEANING PRIVATE CITIZEN!!!
Well done, Sergeant. Good riddance, Chief.
This is just the way people in Jersey talk to each other everyday. Mopes.
acab
He should be in jail
This is something Mr. Lahey would do to Randy in the park.
I'm glad that chief isn't in law enforcement anymore. But does anyone know about the jacket he apparently had a problem with?? I'm so curious lol
Good for you Sgt!
Dam alcohol has no respect for anyone this is a shame after forty years he went out like that I feel bad for this man
“he’s drunk again.” it’s incredible that we’re praising a staff who ON VIDEO confirms that this has happened multiple times and they’ve done nothing.
Disgusting that he gets to retire without consequences. The chief obviously thinks he is more important than the law.
Pigs take care of one another, pits a stigma on even those who do their job the right way…so don't blame me for not trusting you
The community is safer with Guida off the streets. The ex police chief drove to the scene of a dui crash drunk, then obstructed an investigation, assaulted an officer and then committed corruption. The ex police chief should be in jail. Had any average citizen done one of those things they would be arrested and booked into jail
He only taking his retirement now so he won't lose his retirement funds
Theyre in a relationship for those wondering backstory
Retires early to avoid investigation?
As corrupt as you could be. Should lose his pention.
Well done Sgt indeed
