Cycling Portugal (Lisbon – Faro)

While studying abroad in Istanbul for spring break I took a cycling trip in Portugal. I started in Lisbon, rented a bike and gear, and finished in Faro. Along the way I camped, and stayed at a friends place in Lagos. I had hoped “stealth camp” each night, but there ended up not being many great places along the way whenever I was ready to stop riding.

Trip took 5 days (1 rest day), 340 km, 20.5 hrs of riding, average speed 17.25km, max speed 48.78km.

Far but you can submit even campsites along the way and heard this one it’s pretty far off the road we’re just going to do a bummer so there’s a lot of extra work up and down hills but I think I’ll be capping the coast probably see you

Okay good morning start of day two just did the five kilometer skip back on the main road from the campsite and it’s looking to be a very nice morning we are I got up a little bit later than planned one spin around nine it’s ten o’clock

But that’s okay it might a cool little German guy who’s I’m doing the same thing but with two kids and a wife he’s pulling the kids on a trailer run his bikes a lot of respect for that it’s gotta be crazy and we have a great start

Out of this finally it looks a little coastal trails so see where this takes me that won’t promise too people in the chest my god good God just beautiful that plane this is what it’s all about just came across the surf spot stop sir for three hours back on the road and beautiful

Good morning of day 3 just woke up 30 minutes ago packing everything up now somehow lost the pegs to my tent so the whole night is kind of trying to blow all over the place but have all this weight in it so it wasn’t going anywhere just kind of

Mountain downhill for maybe five ten minutes no pedaling just flying some things anymore rewarding feeling it to work your ass let’s get the top of mountain when you get there just straight down but let’s just another big hill please hopefully thanks top looks like this a bit more to go today
