Bike Touring Across Borders // Cycling Spain – Escape The Ordinary Life!

Join me on the most epic bike touring adventure across borders as I am cycling over the Pyrenees and crossing the border from France into Spain. At this point I am cycling across Europe for 2 months, camping wildly wherever I find a spot, flying paraglider from different mountains and in this bike touring episode I start cycling Spain, which brings a new set of obstacles and challenges to endure and to conquer.
Spain is the 4th out of 5 countries that I will travel through and the adventure awaits, as I am cycling to the most southern point of the country, where Europe meets Africa. This is my bike touring documentary!

Third time together where for me a third time but we didn’t fly anymore because the wind was not favorable we just kept on uh ground handling and uh talking and getting to know each other but unfortunately he couldn’t accom odate me for the night because it was their last

Night at the friend’s house and they had to clean this whole place and whatever and now it’s 8:00 and was my first minute in the saddle today because today I flew paraglider I showered I did my data transfer they gave me some food as well was really actually nice was a

Chill Vibe too bad that I cannot stay overnight because uh I don’t have much time to ride now and to find a place to stay I am I am going to put in the maybe 10 15 km now or 20 and then find a place

Somewhere in the field and uh call it a day and tomorrow it’s about really pushing far that’s the plan isn’t that nice riding in the sunset at least if I would have a place to sleep I have found a place in the forest the ground was covered in pine

Needles brown ones and I said okay let me try and see this place oh my God behind me the green patch the Green Forest is where I entered and I have been literally attacked by mosquitoes I think I got beaten 20 times see now where I can reach and where I can sleep

That’s the problem it seems that I found something for the night I have to go deeper into the forest straight ahead and uh pitch up the tent there maybe is my last chance and uh it’s pretty late now it’s 9:15 so in 45 minutes it’s going to be

Completely dark so yeah I better hurry up now it’s a very beautiful morning I didn’t sleep that great but the place is awesome I didn’t know there was a club nearby and the entire night was loud music but but I mean I was able to catch some sleep that’s the

Place it’s looking really really really nice actually anyway now I am going to pack up my stuff here and uh hit the road but today I really want to put in the distance so yeah that’s very important yes guys back on the road as you can see

I am now riding in a nice area here not far away from uh the Spanish border I think I am 50 km away from the Spanish border now and I’m really excited to reach Spain Soon Oh I am almost reaching another big milestone on this long long long journey that one is that I can see already the Pyrenees in front of me the beginning of them they are stretching from east to west that’s the French side still but over these mountains here is Spain these

Park areas are so neat and so nice when you are feeling hot tired and you just want to rest but now I am uh I’m still good so this is gold for every cyclist I think that goes along distance yeah I traveled another 5 km

Now and um I am just just uh 600 M shy of the supermarket it’s just crazy it’s just unbelievable what I have to be encountered with why are they building like this why look at this look at this look at this huge ass bicycle now

How am I going to fit through this how I have to detach again my trailer Jesus Christ the problem is even if I want to turn around let’s say right in this narrow space here in this Narrow Street I would have to detach the trailer this is so frustrating this is so Crazy whoever built this should be punched in the face and I don’t know reminded that he is not building here a barricade for the war but just a simple something for the cars to not go through any way no cars can go through because there is a small bridge at the end there

Is absolutely no way for a car to maneuver through this freaking path right one single pilot of sorts would have made the job but why would you build three of such things here for what is this a maze or what Jesus Christ I spent 5 minutes now taking off the

Luggage taking off the everything oh my God I don’t understand the logic of this okay I am now 10 km away from the border uh maybe even 8 but it all goes uphill from now on yeah time to turn off the camera and concentrate I managed to make the

Climb oh yes I climbed now to like 260 M altitude after thousands of kilometers I think I got used and uh was not that difficult anymore now I think I’m just 1 km away from uh the border between France and Spain I don’t want to miss it

Okay so right there is the Border I just have very little internet right now I going to look for a phone shop by a SIM card and keep on going I hope till 600 or 700 to have it sorted out with a phone and then I can keep on going to Barcelona Direction

Barcelona okay I’ve been waiting for this for a long time and I am really really happy to cross now the borders and now we go to the Border yes yes yes woo woo okay and I am in Spain now baby wo Spain ESP swizerland Monaco France and Spain now

W oh my gosh I feel like I am now really close to my destination even though they are still around 1,700 1,600 km in latest a month I should be there or maybe just 3 weeks yes guys this is now the update of what happened in the last 2 hours so I

Cross cross the border into Spain as you saw and I was heading to the first city I think it’s called figueres or something like that and I was trying to find a shop to get my new SIM card and I went to movar and uh it was just one

Single worker there I waited for like 2 hours just for her to tell me that uh I can get prepaid but I have to activating the Internet by myself and I have to wait a day for that anyway that was not such a great deal so after 2 hours of

Waiting I rushed to Vodafone but I didn’t buy from Vodafone because next to Vodafone is this other shop called easy phone and um yeah I bought from there my SIM card I just hope that the internet is also working properly later so um that’s all what I need now I have to

Find a place to sleep it’s exactly 8:00 p.m. and I have to head out of this huge huge town and uh yeah let’s see how my first night is going to be in Spain let’s gooo I asked this farmer here if I could maybe camp out and he said yes I am

Allowed to Camp just uh behind the trees here I now these dogs are coming to me okay yeah friendly yes yes yes I’m going now I’m going he told me the farmer I should maybe Camp down there because they will uh bark during the

Night and I will not be able to sleep he couldn’t speak English at all but uh with my bit of Spanish and with sign language we got to understand each other let’s ride up this little path I don’t want to look for another place anymore cuz there are plenty opportunities I’ve

Seen on Google Maps so I don’t see it here but I think I can go there at the trees I can cross the street and go there yeah that’s what we are going to do now okay I am now in this little Forest here across the street so I think

Direction France the street or Direction Barcelona and I’m now heading to Pineda dear to uh Landing site and maybe I can fly today let’s Go Guys do you see this bike rider in front there he stopped just for me to ask me if I am okay if I need time to drink Coca-Cola or water if I need money where do I want to go he was speaking just Spanish so yeah but we got

To yeah understand each other you know he asked me if I want to eat and then I said no no thank you thank you I appreciate thank you very much then we high fived and he kept on riding very nice of him wow it has been crazy it has been crazy

Today not even 80 km in and I am so freaking done with this I am so freaking tired oh my gosh look at my saddle again just look at it I look as if I showered oh my God it has been up and down the entire freaking time up and

Again up oh my God I stopped now at the supermarket to fuel my body once again and I saw somewhere there up in the mountains oh I still see him right there and I don’t know if I can still fly today it’s going to be too late but for

Sure I’m going to camp out uh nearby The Landing site it’s already almost 7:00 and you can see it’s coming like a weather front I’m not sure if it’s going to be a storm tonight or not but fact is that uh I am now filled up I bought

Water I bought a lot of um food once again here and here and now it’s about to hit the last 5 km to reach the landing site and see what uh what’s going to be there hopefully I can meet up with some pilots and uh talk to them

Yep guys I arrived at the Landing site after looking for it for like an hour I finally found it I have a problem though it is late in the evening now I have first of all to find a place to sleep I didn’t shower and I want to shower I

Asked different people at different places if I can maybe stay overnight at there in the garden everybody said no so no comparison to France or to Switzerland it’s supposed to rain as well in the night and the place where I can actually stay uh is at the beach

Apparently where I can maybe camp out I mean I also saw now a pilot who landed in a tree I just didn’t have the GoPro with me was here at the at the bicycle and I went here on the field to just have a look and I saw somebody land in

The tree I am not going to wait till tomorrow in the evening to fly here because I have to move on I’m going out to have to look for a place to sleep and um that was it yeah happens so uh what happened is that I uh

Reached here at uh the beach It’s pretty dope it’s really really nice somewhere maybe maybe there on the grass I’m going to spend my evening this is a shower I’m going to use right after I’m coming out and also wash the salt off the clothes crazy how many minerals I’m losing you

Know while riding going to jump in the water thank you very much wish you a nice evening bye-bye okay it’s 10:00 now and um I noticed that this bar here is going to be open for the next 2 hours for sure and I need to rest so I am going to try

To go a bit further down the road and see if I find any spot where is a bit less light and less noise hey guys um I hope you can see me it’s now 5:30 in the morning I found the place to sleep and this was here on the

Beach I had absolutely no problem with uh sleeping here no one said anything I slept just for 5 hours and now I already have to start packing up the stuff slowly slowly cuz I need maybe one and a half hours or two hours and I will catch

The sunset also on the Drone and I will be nice and ready at around 7 or 7:30 and the sun won’t hit as hard at the time so Barcelona here I come I just couldn’t help myself I had to come back to The Landing site try at least to take off even though it’s going to be a 5 minutes flight or even shorter I got here my bike all locked up I just hope yeah nothing will happen I’m in the

Hills and I have to head up for the top of the mountain there what a view over the city I am hiking now for 15 minutes and I reaching almost the end of the trail that is uh on Google Maps after that I have no idea maybe this Trail is

Leading to the place to the paragliding site I hope so yeah anyway check the maps once again and then head up so this is now the end of the road but I assume that here’s where I have to go through I don’t know let’s see let’s
