N Hello and welcome to the mywo Sunday race club with four race starts we’re going to start with our category 4 riders in three two and one our Riders lined up in yellow that is our category one riders in green our Category 2 in blue Category 3 and category 4 in red
Last category underway category 1 it is the finals 35 km 537 M of climbing in front of of category one they’re on the road they get a flat start Fu now kicks again fu is kicking she’s got Bel for company as fer comes around over the top
Of bait she’s got her timing her timing is perfect is Katherine fer takes qualifier one Warren goes now on the left really pushing down hard on the right hand side is Hyde Hyde goes over the top again this is the Line This Is The Run for the finish and it’s not all
Over look at this massive kick from Warren she’s going to get a timing right she’s got 200 M to go but srom is coming she’s coming hard she’s coming fast she’s closing the Gap she’s coming up to person’s wheel if Bon can’t respond she’s going to lose this B cannot
Respond she’s got nothing left it’s m srom the young Swedish Rider who is going to take the win today hits the UCI Banner hits the Y her Fe it’s going to come down to who’s got anything left to Sprint Kong goes first she starts to attack Wen H’s sa dick till the end
Walken Hur comes up on the shoulder she’s going to come close is Kong going to get it it’s going to be Walkers and Kong it’s going to be a photo finish in Category 2 in category one f is going to take [Applause] It so hello welcome to the my woosh Sunday race club it’s me Matt pay and I’m here in the studio with Emma Martin Emma good morning here good afternoon good evening I guess wherever people are out around the world good morning good afternoon good evening wherever you are good night if it is
3:30 a.m. in the morning and you are joining us because we do know our Riders join us whatever time zone They are in and we’ve got some good news uh coming out fresh from my wish HQ because not only are we coming out on the for the women’s race but our colleagues are
Going out in Arabic as well for the women’s Race So if your first language is Arabic then uh please do join them on there or maybe even watch both because I’m sure the action will definitely bear watching twice over as did the action in the women’s Str up Yankee that we saw
Yesterday now let’s have a look at the parkour today slightly different to the Str banke yeah so we’re off to aula today for the new Heritage course and you can see there we’ve been here once before that was qualifier race number three in December last year year so this
Is the second time the women have been here 35 km of racing 542 M of climbing and you can see the Heritage climb comes at 13.3 km into this race it’s 5.9 km long with an average gradient of 5.7% and sometimes we see race courses with this climb at
The end but today Matt it’s pretty much in the middle then we have a long descent and flat section before at 31.4 km we come into to the rollers and there are well the baseball with there six or seven of them there’s six rollers and then the kick to the Finish Line That’s
The alpha quart Hills and 3.1 kmers of Rolling Land to take them to the sheer flag let’s see who is going to be able to negotiate our course here today in Lula for the myw Sunday race club are four sets of riders categories 1 two three and four in yellow green blue and
Red respectively let’s dive in with our category for Riders first of all great to see the Riders back once again a whole host of individuals in here and Emma it’s a pretty quality field today maybe a little smaller than uh we’ve seen sometimes or is it even bigger I’ll
Let you do the numbers your speciality in total today we have 107 women on the start sheets today for the start of March so spring is underway and the spring is under the wheels of these riders today so 27 riders in category 4 and we’ve got a really good mix you know
Matt Claudia Hyde is here bogran Kirchner ellos uh the Sila is here Warren Paulo Smithson Alvarez Saras Francis this for me is going to be a really good race so down in the start pens are category four Riders the legs are spinning they are warmed up they are of
On the Mayo Sunday race club this is qualifier race number one for March 2024 so out of the start pen go our red jerseys they sweep out onto the course now this is a flat start out of the start pen but within around 750 meters
They do hit the first small climb of the day and I say small climb because it’s not particularly long but it does touch around 5% so a y little kicker just straight up and out of the start pen so these Riders now all together cleanly
Out of the pen being led out by hiy and bogran you can see that climb coming top right hand corner of your screen that graphic gives you really good information about what is ahead of our Riders we can just see on the left hand side of our screen car Leno who is also
The r of we’re focused on on our main screen here today kind down in front of the big TV screen there keeping those legs spinning and looking pretty smooth at the moment very focused on driving this group out from the gate and already just put a couple of people in trouble
At the back here that pace that kick out is really important to stay with the group well we know you’re not going to win the race this early on but you could very easily get dropped off the back of that starting group because that group
Always like to go out of that start pen and get up to Pace get that momentum rolling quickly so here we go through the canyon through the Gorge at the moment and lard at the moment just pushing on enough to cause some problems behind here continuing to kick this is
The first of our little clim it’s the little bump the up and the down that comes immediately after the start here the gradient going up to 5% and it can put people in trouble so a warm up here is absolutely critical at the moment everybody’s responding but even if she
Doesn’t break the group there’s damage being done there is being damage being done at the back of the group and uh like many of our courses Matt you have to have a really good warm-up to come out of that start pen because whil when you look at this course you think
Actually that’s pretty flat for the first 13 kilometers this kicker early on and Lenor is absolutely making the most of it is the first place to split the group and probably the only key significant place to break the group unless you want to go for an attack on
What is a fairly flat parkle until we get to the Heritage climb well you can see the damage being done there the group being split into that bottom left hand corner of your screen really giving you a great indication of what Lenor is doing to this group at the
Moment Simone Francis Paulo is also up there as well as Claris Garcia so you can see the Riders who have made this selection some of the Riders not making the group Francis the rider on our screen at the moment she is clearly part and parcel of this group at the moment
Uh but now when Matt that has really put the cat amongst the pigeons at the back of the group it really help split the group you can see that on the bottom left hand side of your screen on that radar view uh we can see Simone Francis
At the moment riding in Australia where it’s nice and warm 27 degrees and sunny R of course keeping in and out of the Heat and the sun trying to get themselves in the optimum temperature for them and the more you ride on my wish the more you ride on the platform
The more you get that dialed the easier it is the to op optimize your performance and that’s what it’s all about when it comes to Sunday race club jump on board get some rides in really great month to do that because you can jump on board get in in the qualifiers
And then get ready to ride in our finals at the end of the month this qualifier number one for March in 2024 coming up at the end of March two years can you believe that two years since um I first started talking about mywo racing although I’ve been on the
Platform for quite a long time before that checking it out and I have to say I’m really impressed by our race fields across all of the races and I think it’s time to dive in with our next race field there are category three Riders who are
Here on the start in the blue jerseys Emma take us through this race field yeah the category three race field 29 Riders this is our biggest race field of the day in Category 3 D Silva is here Marin Vin who took second in the final last week Rebecca Johnson is here here
She took first place on that climb phenomenal effort there what can she do today Philipa Hill is here so is Natalia idik Giuliano Hyde serson mabin there is going to be a lot of competition for those top spots today in category three so category three Riders going to
Take to the start here in alula the fans are waving at the side of the course the Riders are putting the power down it’s time to go away from the start in the Pence here and head out remember we have that first little kicker that comes very
Quickly out on course that will’ll test our Riders it’s almost quicker than we get when we go to Australia uh and we go around is it the out Loop circuit where we have that the parameter climb virtually first thing it’s within the
First s k or a k and a half not as steep it isn’t as Steep and it rolls off the end but I think it it’s almost just as shocky because the parameter when it’s very obvious that climb coming in this almost is a little bit more like a
Stealth climb it kind of it sneaks up on the Riders because you’ve got a lot going on you’ve got the coming out the pending the change in the terrain and the change in the scenery and one of the key differences is that it has a flat top before you start seeing the downhill
The uh early climb on the Outer Loop in Australia goes up and then it goes down quite swiftly and what we often see is the bat markers snowballing back in and through here there’s the opportunity for that lead group to break away and stay away like we saw in category four a
Minute ago yeah stabilize over that top the positions just become fixed then go into The Descent rather than it being an instant transition well out into the desert we go and we’re heading into that climb already you can see at 700 meters of distance covered we go from the uh
Suburbs we go from the leafy glaz out into the gorge you can see the Archer just behind as we start to lose the vegetation and pick up the dust and the scrub the Rock at the side and although the trees are starting to come and the
Bush is starting to come into bloom I tell you something it is going to be a tough climb this because already junor dearia has kicked on here and is really booting it down at the moment that is a big kick six watts per kilo she’s put a
Big sprint in here and you can see she’s out the saddle here really giving it some at the moment because this is a big old move this is going to do some damage and just a little bit of a breath there for Gina degress she sits back down
Again nice technique though sprinting up into the start of that where it was steep Sprints over the top she’s now got time to recover whilst all the rest of the group is still on the climb well I’ll tell you something she’s not recovering she’s pushing on there Matt
Because the effort is maintaining she’s maintaining that effort on the top and you can see the damage has been done to the Category 3 group just like it had been done to the category 4 group but they have not shed as many riders they haven’t they haven’t at all it’s really
Interesting watching J grassy they that kick then she sat down you see just sitting stabilizing herself on the bike that position super smooth super solid just keeping the legs turning but she maintain that power through that transition there really nicely and I tell you something that is is that
Warning shot across the bows of everybody else in Category 3 Jun de grass here today is feeling like taking this race right on so let’s see how she’s going to do now Emily Marin just chasing in this group here she is in the lead Chasers you can see that they have
Got degress currently at six seconds but already Ming there again very similar position on that bite those arms just horizontal Cadence there it is just looking super smooth with it as well and that the key thing keeping the body Stills and spinning those legs shows no wasted effort it’s all about power it’s
All about speed it’s all about getting getting that power through the pedals and out the back wheel yeah and I’ll tell you something I think most of the Category 3 women having watched that category four start were anticipating effort on the climb and you can see whilst there’s a little bit of stretch
On the group the group pretty much other than one Rider is all still together so smart thinking in the category three pack quality riding and racing de grassia pushing on at the Front mabin Cliff hide peeler Juliano Vin the Sila all in there all in the m all clearly
Out of that start pen so let’s go from our Category 3 to our Category 2 each of our race starts separated by five minutes the category 2 riders in here and great to see the Sunday crew team of Yanna Zimmerman and Sarah carus in the
Mix but this is a tough race fi a little bit smaller than category three I think by like one Rider is it yeah you’re on the ball there Matt 28 Riders on the start sheets today and there is a real mix Dana Davidson is here Carolina Alat
Jerine prao is back in category to watch out everyone Montgomery wener Kong toor Smithers uh baragan victori Sanchez holer and McAlpine this is a really strong field and we’ve got a new Rider today Rosa Herrero uh Mountain bikeing Juro background so whil there’s no steep down Hills there are some ups and away
We go no mountain biking today this is Esports this is e cycling this is the May Sunday race club we’re up we’re out of the start pen this is category two they sweep out onto the CLA clear of the start pen now well within the first 500
Meters they’re all going to be thinking about tactics on that climb none of them want to be off the back of this pack can the pack be the first group of Riders to stay together early on on this course today yes there you go that’s my early
Prediction for the day mat has predicted just think it will stay together we’ll just watch that it’s going to be the commentator’s curse Supreme so we go our rers remember at 700 MERS into this we’re going to transition from The Grow here out into the desert we’re going to
Transition into the gorge and we’re going to transition onto that climb as we make our way out and over this is where we’re going to see who’s going to be feeling strong today now Emma you mentioned that we got jery poo had moved from C to two she’s right on the border
Guessing by the numberers I mean we we don’t have access to the exact data uh within the commentary team because obviously that’s private but um we can we can ascertain from from where she is in the in the race fields and what she the performances she’s doing she sits on
That border between category one and two she does and we’ve seen her regularly finish in the top five on the podium in Category 2 last month she progressed to category 1 and you know she put in some strong performances she was there or thereabouts in the race field till about
Half distance and she hung in and we saw a really attack the other day on The Climb there uh so she really gave it her all back down this month to category to like you said Matt there are those borders between these four race categories and there is that flexibility
And we see that in both the men’s and the women’s race fills with the movement of riders depending upon who is on the start line and some of the our Riders are really progressing through the category Serena victori uh would be a good example of that she was very very
Good in the finals and has been riding very strongly in category two but we’re going to be seeing whether McAlpine Wen Hurst Rona who will it be we’ve got some new riders in here as well and our new Rider a mountain bikeing Juro Rider so that is somebody who is used to throwing
Themselves down the mountain with extreme skill uh ger on of course that they haven’t necessarily checked out before so they got to be a really good Mountain bik Rider they got to transfer those skills and I was trying to just think of what’s transferable there uh across what those skills attitude okay
That’s but there’s not in terms of physiology guess intense effort lots of strength well intense effort and also well in uro your heart rate is as high on the downhills as it is on the uphills other than you obviously don’t race the uphills yes well all you might raise
Some of the part sections of the downhill might have uphill in them uh I’m desperately trying to talk us through to the category One race start here because my prediction has gone wrong it has indeed there we go that’ll teach me to do an early prediction we
Have got a big split with two groups formed in category two category two already split into two as we go over the top of that first timeing down and approaching the section at the bottom where we level out you can just see the gradient on the top right hand side of
Your screen going down to 0% and that means that we are now onto our long run across this will take us through there is a little bit of a rise before the Valley of the Tomb Sprint but pretty minimal now all the way to our heritage time at
13.3k so let’s leave our category two three and four Riders to their transitional section as we go to category one our Elite Riders lined up on the race start in the yellow jerseys who will be taking the yellow skin suit for the win at the end well on teams are
Here the aeto skia with C Bon colum Giovani and Sid we’ got Nordic Spirit van HOV angstron velt bruny the risky biscuit Squad Donnie fer behead and coyon and the fellow girls Gonzalez Roman well and casani plus some rather strong Riders who aren’t in a team at
The moment yeah 23 Riders on start sheets today it was of course a feto who took the team win last week from the risky biscuits but we’ve also got eming bfor sente Martinez Hermanson man Shandy srom and London as well as those teams lined up today so this is our race start
In category one our final race category of the four sets of riders away completing the race start on qualifier number one on the May Sunday race club it’s time to Pedal it’s time to go it is sunny race club it’s category 1 we have 35 km 542 meters one categorized climb one
Serf Hills at the Finish who is going to take this out who will take the win make sure you stay tuned to find out well just taking a look at the pace on the front of this very quickly settled down in category one now I did mention the
Teams because the one thing I wanted to mention Matt we said aito skia took the win last week from the risky biscuits in the team competition the top three riders in each of those teams times added together to count just 16 seconds separating those two teams and those six
Riders in total last week which shows you the strength and depth of this race field now those Riders In Here mixed with other strong Riders and in fact a large number of them have taken top five positions throughout February so really good to see the fact that we have so
Many women taking those top spots taking those positions and the the strength and depth in this race field is so good now out of the three qualifiers in February 11 different women took podiums in category one out of a potential 15 so if every single Podium position had been
Different it would have been 15 15 possible that’s the maximum possible and we had 11 so that’s pretty pretty good going there not bad at all and really does show you the strength and depth of this category One race field so Giovani man Shandi kasani angstrom van HOV sidick Gonzales ruer columi
Hermanson all in the mix here today and it’s bead well she is the rider pushing on on the front and trying to do the damage to this category one racefield right now on this short climb it is a short climb but it see damage in all the previous categories will category one be
The race field that go over together we’ve already got one Rider being dropped off the bat you can see that on the bottom left hand side of your screen just above the speedometer that shows you that we’re doing 37 km an hour now nearly 40K and now as we go over the top
You can see those yellow disc representing the Riders at the moment Ela kasani keeping those pedal R super smooth at the moment as she’s focused on the screen kasani nicely in the mix made that selection not been distanced off the back of the group and good to see
Kasani riding regularly on the Sunday race club she’s a rider who surely I think he going to be in for a big win fairly soon she seems to be just just knocking on the door at the moment yeah absolutely knocking on the door in fact a lot of these Riders are really strong
And like we mentioned Matt the rotation of Riders on the top spot on the top five in the podium on the my Sunday race club regularly churning in this group and uh very much course dependent and this course is quite an interesting one because as you mentioned that that climb
Comes at 13.3 kilm so pretty early into this 35 kmet race course today uh 5.9 kilometers of climbing it will finish they finished that steep climbing within the first 20 km so there’s over 15 km after the climb is complete are you just saying that’s cuz I was desperately
Trying to work the mass out of my head well I don’t know about that but the long downhill effort followed by a flat run in and then the last four kilometers has those rollers so taking a look at the screen the Riders onto the Flatlands
At the bottom and this is where we see how smooth the Riders are Joanna C there interested to see she’s got a track SE Fredo musette at the side there just hung on the bracket that would nor hold the bik there and very interesting to see that Joanna colan there just with
The towel on blazing Sunshine coming in through the window but cman trying to make sure that she keeps this nice move doesn’t expend too much energy staying in this group and this is about hiding and being smart isn’t it we we were in a we were in a conversation earlier on in
The week we had a meeting with somebody uh in the week and it was talking about the tactics and and the the way that you would ride on here and how Riders being smart and there are some Riders who who will take a win having expended far less
Effort oh yeah over the duration of the race yes you’ve got to be answer attacks category four Riders are absolutely all over the road as to go over the little there’s a lot of pushing on going in that category four race at the moment and a lot of stretching because look at
The size of the group and they’re not far off now Matt they’re two kilometers off the base of the Heritage climb they don’t want to take that many riders in they don’t and there’s a little trigger point here which is you can just see on the top right hand side of your screen
We just transverse in across we do a steep kicker onto a plateau then a gradual drop back down you see we’re up onto the boardwalk here on top of that Plateau section before we just drop back off again and the rise up is what can do
Damage if you kick there you can break R and vas now having to push to get back onto the group here 16 riders in this leading group though still Matt which is really really strong Vasquez is the rider pushing on to get on the back Connell is the rider distance and now
This group over nearly a minute ahead of uh Connell who is the rider chasing now just let’s talk about the Heritage climb for a little moment because it’s whilst we said it’s five 5.9 kilometers with an average gradient of 5.7% it is I’m going to call it a
Multi-stepped climb uh many it’s not it’s not steady gradient many many kickers along the way and very very steep at the start 133% 16% these kickers really do push the Riders and really test the Riders but it does also mean that there are some downhill and some flat sections as well
On this climb so having pre- ridden this climb having done your wcky really important to know where to attack where to dig and where to rest yep I’ve ridden this climb a number of times here on in alula and it really does change being able to have a good variety of pedal
Cadence good range of pedal Cadence a very quick transition to be able to snap from maybe doing 70 80 revs per minute to 120 revs per minute being able to do that very quickly is key now Ming in here the rider we’re riding with at the
Moment they’re on the way in to the artist alley Sprint now the Sprints don’t count for any uh points any position but from the arst alley Sprint when we come out the other side of it there’s that little platform that we saw category 4 break up in a little bit
Further back down the route Joanna com the rider we’re riding in with at the moment in category one they are coming into the valley of the Tomb Sprint so this Sprint section well it is a 300 meter section as are all of our Sprints today but it’s a snapshot in and that is
The important thing to remember here this is about the fastest through the segment the FTS time rather than being first through the segment you don’t want to be first through that segment in any way shape or form unless you’re quick you could be the quickest going first
Through because you could have come from the back to the front and we saw that regularly on the myou Championships because you’re utilizing the momentum and the draft of the group to work your way through we saw a lot of riders utilizing that technique not just on the
Sprints but also on the climbs on the my rou championships and that was phenomenal well what is phenomenal is genor De Gracia from C degree three Matt well she’s taken the quickest time on that Sprint and we saw her really aggressive and this is why it’s such a
Snapshot in rather than it being for points or position so there is no bonus to be through here other than if you’re using it to take a look at what people are doing Jin grai very aggressive 1.37 though quicker than Pella batina Pella looking quick through there ISAC
Again the Silva Juliano people who we’d expect to see up there in category three category two in there with Al and herrow as well as category one uh so looking like we are going to see some very interesting action now coming up to the PO up we’re heading for the climb in the
Category 4 race the Heritage climb we’ve hit the banner this is where it starts to go up and it is incredibly variable in gradient so being able to change your pace on here to match the gradient is going to be key knowing when to push knowing when to rest and then
Translating that to what everybody else is doing because of course you can have the best laid plans and they can all go out of the window very quickly here then that it doesn’t mean that you’ve got to be very good at reacting as well and
Doing it in a way that is not panicking because what you don’t want to do is stretch yourself out any more than the climb is doing to you already well we’ve got 16 riders in this leading group in category four and you can see already they are
Only I looking at that they’re only 300 MERS into this climb but it is already already stretched down the road and we’re already starting to see gaps Kira now at 3 seconds from the front as that group now concertina back together now we said there’s constantly changing
Gradients on this climb and it there are some very very steep kickers very early on it will get to 13% 16% on what is a sub six kilometer climb but we also see downhill and flat sections so this is about being able to respond and we’ll
See this group stretch we’ll see it come back together and at the moment we’re in with Garcia and you can see the effort there going in a bit of respite a bit of recovery as she gets up and out of that saddle and starts to try and lift that
Cadence really slow cadence at the moment the effort really going in and that’s because the gradient is kicking it’s just sub 10% at the moment uh and the respite well shortly it’ll be knocking off a little only to go again it does and been able to change the gear
On bike super quick to make sure that it’s nice and smooth not lose too much time too much effort doing that really really key H guessing from where the chain position was on there I think Apple in a pretty big sprocket on the back there but it looked to be on the
Big ring on the front there so it might be the case that got a change back down again uh in the chain ring just to get the revs high but sometimes the time that you lose changing gear is more the damage is done more by losing time
Change gear then it is by just rolling over in a bigger gear but it depends on how strong you’re feeling so we’ll see how Apple gets on with the rest of category as we come back in with category one we’re making our way in along there’s a little bit of a dip and
A rise coming up we’re just in with Anna eming one of our Swedish Riders here and uh just grabbing a bottle getting hydrated a little bit chillier in Sweden than it is perhaps in the world of alula at the moment at 3° centigrade and with
The uh Cloud it’s yeah I think the uh I think the weather is pretty accurate there that Anna just keeping those revs ticking over at the moment and good to see that Anna just making sure she’s staying focused on there just getting the messages coming in and out
Communication in with your teammates is key and we know that the Swedish Riders they’re a really big community they’re very strong racing Community really really strong racing Community uh from Sweden on Esports on my roou on the Sunday race one two three I was just
Trying to count how many in a row there they were all together uh at the moment in this category one pack is this s around the corner and you can see another Sprint section that’s the green banner up ahead uh but these Riders now 7.6 km into this 35 km course it’s a
Tight group and a steady steady Pace at the moment you can tell that from eming heart rate currently sat at 136 so a steady steady start for category one if you take a look on the right hand side of your screen I’ll tell you something Category 3 are motoring
They’ve already gone through the back markers of the category four race and you can see further up the climb the leaders in the category 4 race are their next group of riders that they are motivated to chase they are not that far behind 133 1 12 km now for the leaders
In category three it’s a big group El Inc is Right In the Mix there but Matt I tell you something it’s not going to be long till they catch that category four pack yep that pack I think there were three three there’s two groups tck right
Round on the little haing turn on the right hand side there so be very interested to see what happens when they come together remember that the Riders can catch and draft from each other if you’re on a climb then that’s not going to make much difference because it’s all
About gravity and power to weight if if you’re on a descent or you’re on the flat that’s about being able to draft all of these skills being brought in to Ray strongly now you can see that the Category 3 race really is hot because we have the grass again kicking on through
We saw J earlier in the program absolutely flying through their 654 quicker than P again the same one too as they come in and through but beide Helen Connel was chasing last time I saw and working through she was working on those Sprints because she had the green Sprint
Jersey in the category 4 competition but these Riders of course well they know that the key prizes they all come when you come in to the end of the race when you come over the line our qualifiers like all of the races on my wish have the individual prizes for the top five
Riders in each category now category three leading Bunch it is a bunch it’s almost a pelaton um I always think of a bunch a peleton being basically the entire race field almost with one or two two people missing the bunch well it’s certainly looking like it’s definitely
The bunch it’s the biggest group on the road however they are Riders up in front they are catching Riders at the moment but you can see this changing gradient we’re down at minus 4 minus 6 minus 7% then it very quickly changes we’re at plus 6% plus 3% minus point4 minus three
It really does roller coaster it’s it’s down it’s transitioning very quickly from one uh inclination to another from a positive to a negative gradient we’re up to 9% now and now it’s coming back off to eight we’ve got a consistent pull around this left hand turn here so you
Can see this group they came through those category four Riders they pick them up they’re going to deposit them pretty quickly I suspect here as we make our way up this climb a little bit further down you can see Category 2 at Dana Davidson the rider we’re in with at
12 km so they are just just under 1 and a half kilom from the base of the ascent of the Heritage climb here in alula so Monica Rona in here Rona very very strong Rider she’s generally one of those riders that we know will be up
There if you had to pick somebody who’s consistently in the mix would have to be up in the pick there as she makes her way down to towards the base of the climb it’s pretty much flat on the way through we just didn’t know with uh Andra jeram Miller at the moment who’s
Just keeping those legs turning at the moment Jer Miller there just making sure that she’s got the Cadence going keeping pretty smooth there on that bike just keeping focused on the screen as well and you can see plenty of light there to make sure she can see what she’s doing
Who love to see everybody’s different setups on where they are not just in the world but where they are in their houses as well because it seems to very so much we have people in lots of different places yeah and I’m loving the vertical fan there on the right hand side there
The a big fan blatting out the air as well always key I think that’s you people do get Spike Envy uh me notably but people do get fan Envy as well because uh having that movement of air over it does make a massive difference I’ll tell you something I have remote
Control fan Envy uh the number of times I’ve forgotten to turn my fan on because it’s so cold in the garage before the start of an effort and then thought what on Earth am I doing as my heart rate and my heat goes up so high because there’s
No fan on H well anyway I don’t think Anna eming’s got any problems with her setup today because she’s part and parcel of this leading group with B for cman velt columia as they continue to move through this course they’re moving through the artist alley Sprint now
Which is the final Sprint before they get to the Heritage climb and well it’s De Gracia again Matt now she is someone who is is obviously utilizing these Sprints to stretch her legs this morning uh it’s going to be really interesting to see whether she continues to do that
All the way through Madera is the rider in two so 26 seconds. 42 for deg Gracia uh cat one even Helen Connell you know is doing the push on now we spoke about her earlier because she hadn’t made the selection in that category for racefield but she is indeed
Utilizing those Sprints to get some training in and some e there going through the race course even though she’s not part and parcel of that leading group and it’s great motivation I think it’s one of the great things is that you can’t ride absolutely on it 52
Weeks of the year that’s just going to be really really you’re not going to be maximizing your potential because you’re going to be at a lower level all the way through you can’t be absolutely flat out all the way through all 52 weeks of the year at the very highest level that
You’re capable of Performing so if you want to get that real high you have to have some lows on the way through but it is really good to see people taking what they want out of the racing on the way well I tell you who is strong
Uh week in week out and uh has regular top fives all year round and that’s Wendy McAlpine you know she’s a very very strong Rider and you can see her part and parcel of this lead group heading into the climb with these category two Riders Esa wenus Rona
Hadlock McAlpine carolles are all in the mix so is Dana Davidson Monica Ron as well so this is a really strong leading group in Category 2 and it’s a big leading group still in cat 2 because for me today the strength and depth of Category 2 is phenomenal it is great it
Really interesting watching Wendy mine coming in there me you said super strong one things that that you can tell with a strong Rider she came in she hit the gradient she clicked down a gear she made it a little bit easier so that she had a little bit better gearing on there
Did that for the first part to come into the clim but then got out of the saddle to kick over the top to finish off the gradient and carry the power and momentum through over the top and that is an experienced rider you you can see
That in the pedal Cadence in the body positioning in the way that she rode over the top there and that’s one of the great things having all of our Riders on there thank you very much everybody who send their video feed in we really really love to see it so please make
Sure that you do send that in to the team on my wosh so all four categories on the uh climb in terms of 432 and about to be category one because you can see on the top right side of the category one screen that gradient just
About to kick in they’re about to hit the gradient here so let’s see how they’re going to go on the climb remember they’re all fighting for prizes they’re all fighting for prize money top five riders in each category receiving prized money from my wosh the professionalism that we see from our R
Is reflected in the prices that they get so four categories away let’s run you very quickly through the prize money today it’s going to be super quick one today because we’re nearly into the climate category one so individual classification in our qualifier races 2,160 AED to 432 a from 1 to in category
4 when we move from categories 4 to Category 3 like happens on each of our race categories as we go up the price money goes up so we now have 3,600 AED in Category 3 is your top price with 720 AED for fifth position that’s category three guess what happens
When we get to category two from 3 to two we go up once again the prices increase as we move up in each of our individual classifications individual classification in first place in Category 2 6,000 AED in fifth place 1,200 ad and the price is staggered in
Between and remember of course it’s just the individual classification for our qualifier races the end of the month it’s our team classification so it’s going up from 4 to 3 to two and guess what happens when we go to 2 to1 yep no prices for working out it goes right the
Way up so this time around it’s 2 ,000 a for 5ifth 4,000 a for 4th 6,000 AED for third 8,000 AED for second and whopping 10,000 AED for first place in the individual classification in category one now we normally would do at this point in time emers exchange Emma have
You got a fast exchange rate for us because we are one of those people who are running into the airport have to change our uh aded for something wherever we’re going and running back out again very quickly well we’re going for South African rand because I can’t
Remember the time we’ve ever been to South Africa so we’re heading to South Africa today 10,000 AED 51,8 197 South African round as we speak right now so if you’re going out to Cape epic and you’re going to go ride at the cape epic mountain bike event it is a
Huge say that again inand 51,8 197 right that’s there you go now you know what you’re gonna win if you are going to be using your ad but of course don’t forget H we really love you to go out to the UAE and go explore some of the amazing
Sits out there and ride on the amazing infrastructure that’s there and maybe go ride up some of these climbs that you see featured on my whoosh on the climb on the category One race Sophie Giovani at the moment out the saddle really working hard in making sure she stays in
The gradient drops she gets back down into that saddle the moment that Cadence just rolling at about 82 and look at the drive she’s really forcing those pedals around at the moment really working well to make sure she stays with this group now she’s flying up here at the moment
Really interested to see she comes around into that right hand turn she’s got to keep moving here she wants to stay in the group you do not want to get distance because the these fast sections really do change the dynamic don’t they yeah about 14 riders in the leading
Group in category one and they are still motoring you can see a couple of riders been dropped off the group at the base of the climb coming in but this group whilst it’s stretched at the moment it is still pretty much together and they’re on a steep kicker at the moment
But the gradient is now starting to drop because it will flatten out a little before it starts to kick again so all of these Riders now needing to push back on to the group uh to get that momentum back together before the climb kicks again yep get in place get in the bunch
Make sure that you’re getting as much Advantage as you can not so much bunch at the moment because I’ll tell I’ll tell you who he’s doing everything that they can at the the moment look at that snake likee pattern of blue jerseys down the mountain Emily mabin is the rider
Working her way through the category 4 red jerseys she’s been joined by Lady Geraldo as well uh Geraldo Montoya really working hard as well in that category three race Philipa Hill and nicoa toova not far behind but what they are now doing is working their way into the
Top 10 of the category four race Rebecca Johnson right up in the mix there with the cover with Hill in that group the silver a little bit further back but m is who’s doing the damage we saw m earlier on uh on the screens with a really good riding position on the flat
I wonder whether she been able to replicate that on the clim because it’s so hard you but this section of all of the climb this is steep it’s 11% but it’s consistent and no we go M it out of the saddle there really stamping down on the pedals there’s a long way before
This gradient eases and before it relaxes but Emily mu at the moment looks like she could stay out the settle for a long long time there well she’s got two kilometers more of climbing to do today on the Heritage climb she’s going to be working her way look at that she’s now
Into Ninth Place on the road now for our new viewers category 4 start are the first race field out of the start pen they start 5 minutes before Category 3 the blue jersey wearers Who start 5 minutes before Category 2 in green and 5 minutes before category one in yellow
Which means our category four Riders are often the leaders on the road for a significant period of the race category three now making that catch as Emily mabin weaves her way through these Riders but category four on the right hand side of your screen we’ve still got
Five six Riders In Contention so hi Paulo OS Francis navarez and bogran all still together uh Johanna Warren not far back with Vasquez so around 25 seconds back to those two Riders then we’ve got the next Rider on the race course Emily mabin the category three leader so the
Category 3 leader making way up here mbin very interesting watching her technique as she was up that long climb out of the saddle then Dr back down again and changed the gear and look at this we starting to see a break here in category one Roberto b a very very
Strong clim clear at the moment from Emma bfor and sink columi looks like be heading that group that pack behind are going to get the advantage of the draft on the flatter section there closing the gap down here to Bone but B’s back on her territory she’s onto the climb she’s
Taking the Steep right hand turn here the gradient in increasing as you come around this Bend to 12 1 half% before it eases slightly we go around the left hand bend on the outside of the B with the gradient is slightly lessened but I tell you something this is really tough
Stuff here M be head out of the saddle 62 revs per minute 6159 now she’s got to try and keep that PA it is incredibly tough here she’s got to keep the pressure on those meded and she’s going to need to stay with him now the revs are increasing here as the
Gradient is dropping you can see she need now sits down we dropped from 10% to 9% and that is where we saw byad sitting down and now starting to try and rev use that seated power on this fast section it dips it rises then we got an
Even bigger dip to come as well so she’s really got to stay in with the pack here and she’s right in the mix here andem this is a great ride it is an absolutely brilliant ride but this part of the course this part of the clim is all
About making sure you stay with the group and put enough effort in but that you recover enough and take as much of a micro rest as possible to drop your heart rate before you have to kick again so currently on a descent at the moment and you can see columi here pushing on
Vanov two seconds back velt behead 3 seconds back Bel for 4 seconds back now that really is the group as columia is pushing on but she’s not the leader on the road at the moment uh Bon is further up the climb now Matt what’s really interesting here Bon finished fifth in
The final last week colomi finished third they are the only two riders in this race field today from the top five in the final fuer is not here bruny is not here srom is not here am Mina coant isn’t here either so those four Riders not in the mix today leaving that top
Five open and these Riders really pushing on and that shot gives you the view of how steep this is at the moment just shy of 15% and take a look at that everybody working hard there’s not a lot you know between this group at the moment and if they can just hang in
These wheels then they are going to stand a good chance of a Podium today so more fresh riders with the opportunity to go in take a new Step at that priz one you can see the height that we have gained here as we look out across the
Desert across the world of a Lula here on the mayw Sunday race club yeah in with the top 10 in category one remember they are chasing categories 2 category three and category four Riders who set off in front making the way in and through interesting to see now we’re
Going to move to categories two leaders who are working the way through category four Riders and category three Riders Victoria carolus wal Rona McAlpine castano Davidson is the distance so is Shar Miller so is Kirchner so at the moment your leading group on the road
There Emma how many have we got well I’m counting six riders in the leading uh category two race field so six Riders 17.7 kilometers of this climb now complete uh they have around one and a half kilometers to go can they stay together now take a look at the bottom
Left hand corner of the screen we’re watching carus we’re watching her climb in this leading group and you can see on the screen that view of the mountain side with all four of our race categories on it and that category 2 leading pack that carus is part of
Working their way through category 4 and category three back markers uh category one or a little bit further down the mountain side so they’ve not got to worry about that catch at the moment well interesting to see soll they had a gaming chair just behind her there I’m
Interested to see what setup she runs on in terms of her computer spec we are at the moment just in the middle of finishing off the Bea tested on the Apple TV that finishes uh on Monday which means that I think about one week later on the 11th we should be seeing if
It all goes to plan if our inside sources at my woosh are correct the launch of the Apple TV myosh in its final version usually takes about one week after so that’s the estimated time of arrival the ETA of the Apple TV for every everybody at the moment the ETA of
The Riders at the Finishing Line well with a little while yet but the person who’s going to be setting up will it be a category 4 3 2 or category one ryer the category one leaders are absolutely motoring at the moment SEL columi is on a climb she’s flying at the moment she’s
Got bfor and Bon in front though and Bon really has opened up a massive lead here we know she’s strong on the climb she’s it’s risk though isn’t it because we’ve a long way from the summit she’s not at the top yet but we’ve a long long way
From the summit to the finish and this is not necessarily a course that suits a solo Rider well well do you know this is only the second time the women have raced this course and you’re right Matt there is a long run from the finish of
This Heritage climb to the finish of the race course today you know uh in fact there is she says I’ll why do you make me do on the run there is six there are 15.8k there you go thank you very much indeed whilst Matt does some matths
Everybody who wants to check if he’s correct please do but let me just tell you the first time we raced here we mentioned right at the start of the show qualifiers three in December last year was the first time the women raced this parkour today is the second now last
Time they were here uh category one I’m going to give you some rundowns category one uh coinci took the win from sidick okay one hour and three for coin sidick was two and a half seconds back velt finished in third 21 seconds back um that was the closest race of the day in
Category two Daniel had it by a minute from spom by a minute and 21 from xati and by three minutes and 8 seconds to fourth place which was wenh Hurst so that really spread the field in cat 2o in cat three Weston took it an hour and
12 minutes from Giuliano 26 seconds back genen tilli 37 seconds back then it was 2 minutes 23 to tur over and 3 minutes 20 seconds to Hill so again big gaps outside that top three category four Bremner took it in an hour and 19 minutes from Hyde 1 minute 44 seconds
Back oras 3 minutes 56 seconds back gallano 4 minutes more back and then Lloyd nearly 5 minutes back so you can see how hard this course is and what damage it did to those race fields when the women raced it for the first time in December last year and Hyde experienced
On this course right up there taking second place she’s Our Queen of the mountains in category four the fastest Rider up the top taking away that polka dot Jersey going over the top of the climb in category three it was Emily mabin who went over the top again very
Strong Riders she was the fastest R up the climb in Category 3 Category 2 and one haven’t yet reached the top no but one of the things that will happen today is that the Riders will have learned from racing it back in December and they will have different strategies to use
Today having knowing what they’ve learned from last time well indeed and Bon looks like she wants to go for a solo lead over the top she’s 16 seconds clear of Selen columia and Emma Belfor there’re on the left hand side of your screen in category one in category two
Monica Rona starting to approach the top of the summit with seren to along with macalpine who’s not out of this by any stretch of the imagination neither is carolus this is going to be a I predict a Sprint oh thank you very much predict
I think we are going to see a Sprint in C in all of our categories I think even in category one because just because of the distance to come back in to the Finish but remember this will vary a little bit dependent on where the Riders
Are on the course so in category four we had hi the fastest Rider over the top of the climbing category three it was mabin who came over with the fastest time it is fitori who comes over with the fastest time over the top and I’m going be really interested to see whether it’s
Going to be those same Riders who have taken the fastest time up the climb who have showed their strength here who can then make it count at the Finish how many of our fastest Riders at the climb will be the fastest Rider across the race route and take the
Win in their race category well we’re going to see now this category two on to The Descent Victoria macalpine walking H and carus are in touch four Riders pretty much within a second or so of each other it’s 11 seconds back to castano currently in fifth place in
Category two and then you’ve got jaramill who’s in six about 38 seconds down and distance I think is probably too big to bring back castano has got her work cut out but we have seen Riders if you chase hard and power down The Descent you’ve got a chance of getting
There let’s go from category 2 to category three and four we’re in with the category three group here and they have come back together mbin has been absorbed in there and that is five rers on the race route you can see the four blue jerseys plus the polka dot skin suit of mavin
And they are your leaders they have got a gap at the moment but it’s not huge because you can see if you look at the left hand side of your screen we’ve got Riders behind belr at three seconds is the nearest Rider now to expect looking
At the screen judging by the pace of going at the moment that probably within about 20 seconds of the Riders you’ve probably got all four of those groups that are on your uh leftand radar screen at the moment yeah and we could well see that category three race really come
Back together and that group grow to maybe 10 Riders let’s see if it’s going to happen now category four you can see that we’ve got bogam we’ve got Hyde uh on the way down here then we’ve got a gap back to the OS Duo then
We’ve got the Paulo uh just on her own so it looks like as well Grace Paulo on her own then we got the Warren Group which is at 44 seconds uh and that contains category three Riders so really mixed up here you can see how Riders in
All four of our categories here all mixed up so right hand side of your screen you’ve got Geneva OS at the moment really smashing those pedals down on The Descent Johnson working hard on that descent as well walking Hurst well you can just see the pace that she’s got
At the moment flying as well she’s on to The Descent that is the rider from the third from the right hand side of your screen on the left hand side of your screen on the ascent Lisa Hermanson out of the saddle working to make sure that
She gets to the top as fast as possible at the moment not quite up in to the top of the climb well I think one of the things to really note there Matt is that you can see how hard some of those Riders are working on The Descent not
Just on the asent Rebecca Johnson who took the win in the fal last week working seriously hard and putting in a real dig and a real effort to stay with that group on The Descent after having done all that effort on the climb you’d think she’d be taking making a rest but
She’s not she is working and that is the level of competition that these Riders are faced with and that’s what they’ve got to do on this descent one of the key things here is that on the ascent of the Heritage climb on the direction that we
Go it is very very variable in gradient it’s got up it’s got Downs it’s got big dips it’s got big steps in there you’ve got long section of very steep on it if you go on The Descent if you actually ride where the the Riders going at the
Moment big big difference because it is a more consistent downhill and that means that you can sit and put a pace down there now that’s on the downhill this is on the uphill Bon now with the fastest time up the climb and if you look at the time gap on the climb
Section alone Roberto bod from the aeto skia is the fastest Rider she is 25.76 7 Seconds clear of her teammate s columi belf for just behind in terms of time and then we are at nearly a minute for vanov over a minute for velt be headman Shandy and angstrom and we’re
Approaching a minute and three qus for calman the last of the fetto gear Riders we could just see on our screen big big time gaps but Bon at the moment she’s gone over the top now can bone hold this to the finish that in my head is the big big question
At the moment Emma can she hold this all the way to the Finish we’ve seen her go over the top 25 seconds clear but if you look behind her there are yellow and green and blue and red jerseys in a big bunch coming towards her should bason
Push or should she e back well I think bason is more than capable have time tring her way to the finish and 20 seconds 15 seconds well it’s interesting isn’t it and this is the issue here but what we’re seeing now is the gradient change for bason and the gradient change
Is not the same behind so really until we get to the bottom here around 20 26 kilm we’re not really going to get a great time check because we’re going to get constantly changing and rolling gradients so we’re not going to know until we get to for another around four
Kilometers what the true Gap from Bon has managed to put in now bason on the left hand side of your screen the leader in category one on the right hand side of your screen 3 kilometers down the road well this is the front of the race
This is the leaders on the road at the moment and it still the C four Riders borran and Hyde they are side by side hiding the polka dot skin suit signifying she has the fastest time on the climb but she’s joined by bogran they’re 22 seconds clear of navarez and
Os Paulo now 45 seconds back hill 55 seconds back so this race now really winding up hill mabin part on parcel of the leading group in category three just the five Riders now who are leading category four ahead of them on the road so here we go
Down into Awards the Flatlands this is where it levels out and now comes the time to get in the draft to see how much energy you can conserve while still improving on your position our category three Riders catching category four Rider Joanna Warren and Yanna Warren
Just in the mix say she’s going to now want to stay with these riders for those of you that haven’t ridden on the platform please do jump on please do come and join us but if you haven’t ridden on there you’re wondering how can they stay on the back of the
Group when they’re on the flat or the downhill it’s about drafts so if you’re riding behind somebody you can stay in we haven’t done the analogy for a while but if you’re Mar driving along in your car you wind the way wind down uh you lower the window and you put your hand
Out do this carefully safely you’ll feel the wind going over your hand you hide your hand behind the wing mirror guess what you can’t F feel the wind going over your hand and that’s exactly what these Riders doing they use less effort because they hide behind the other
Riders the more you do that the less effort you have to put in and the more you can save energy if you are a solo Rider you’re always pushing in the wind there’s nobody to hide behind if you are a strong Rider on a flat or downhill
Section you can be on the front working really hard the person behind can stay with you using 20 30% less energy to give you a ballpark sort of figure if you’re on a climb and you’re on an Ascent it’s all about gravity it’s all about Mass it’s all about power it’s
Power to waight ratio and the draft at slow speed is next to nothing H it there’s hardly anything there so if you’re trying to go up a climb and you’re doing 10K an hour there’s not much draft if you’re on the flat or a downhill doing on the flat
35 kilometers an hour you’re on the downhill doing 70 80 kilometers an hour the force against you is all about how you can cut through the wind so if you can stay in a group it’s good and that can eliminate the difference between the categories so a good Category 3 Rider on
The the front of the group can have category four Riders who can’t produce as much power behind because they don’t need as much power because they’re hiding out the way the same with category 3-2 and two to one so you can see at the moment Natalia idik on the
Wheel of Monica Rona rona’s putting out over four watts per kilo is sitting behind at two and a half to three watts per kilo and that is because she’s hiding in the draft behind Roda so this is absolutely key making sure that you stay in position don’t use too much
Energy you can use it to bring yourself back up is is going to go onto the wheel here of Mendoza and that has been done by sitting on the wheel of Monica Rona brilliant example here Rona going over about one to one and a half watts per
Kilo higher because she’s sitting on the front and having to push through the draft and the category three Riders are going to jump in uh behind our category to Rider Rona so that is a really good example of why you can say save energy on the back now this means that the
Riders in Category 3 will now have elink in their sights because she’s the next Rider up the road in Category 3 and she’s 18 seconds I’m sure as this race progresses unless Vin can catch a lift with another fast moving Rider she could well see these coming on to her back
Wheel pretty quickly well Francis is the category rer directly in front of Rona at the moment she’s going to see these Riders first but as we jump back in with the leader in the category One race Roberta Bon well she is now 10 seconds clear of coli now columia really putting
In a big effort here but Sony she is going to have to work hard to stay clear you know we said we were going to wait till we got to about 26 kilometers to take a look at what the actual Gap was well it’s 10 seconds it’s 10 seconds but
I think Bon is very aware who it is behind because remember Roberto Bon and Seline Colombia are both AET of skier Riders both ride on the same team they know it’s a long way to go at this stage You’ still got well it’s about 8K if person
Lets Colombia come up to her the two can work together much better and that gives two Riders to run to the Finish they’re both teammates I think they may well be teammates but I think they’ll want to do a time check on what that third place is
Behind and Belfor where take a look at that you know she is continuing to work her way through so she’s 8 seconds behind colia at the moment so it’s 10 seconds be between Bon and Colombia and eight seconds between coli and belf so this is the challenge because whilst Bon
Might want to wait for colomi so the teammates can work together what they don’t want is Emma bfor joining them and take a look at that she’s currently the rider in cat one moving the quickest setting the fastest time through the hegra Sprint 26.3 seconds I’m taking a little look
She’s 1.5 seconds faster than Bon 1.6 seconds faster than colomi uh so look at that it is getting interesting it very very interesting watching Amelia velt go through there almost in the same time as Belfor those chases are coming quick now climers don’t generally make great time
Trial Riders there are exceptions to the rule but generally if you’re great at powering upper climb you are not necessarily going to be great at powering along the flat it may be that this is going to suit an all round Road and it’s one of the great things about
The Heritage climb course here on alula is because we have the big climb in the middle because we have the hills at the end but we have lots of flatland as well it suits a real mix of riders it’s not pure climbers course it’s not a pure
Ruler’s course it’s a pure flat land time trial course I would also say Matt that this course is really interesting because you’ve got this flat transition section between the downhill of the Heritage climb before you get to the final uh set of climbs you know now 3
And a half kilometers from the finish the climbs the rollers start there are six rollers if your legs are shot because you’ve time Tred your way from the top of the climb through to those rollers and you’ve only got a 10c Gap 10 seconds is nothing in that last three
And a half kilometers I would agree the last section of this course is very very hard the profile of it is such that it isn’t long the climbs are not big they are Sprint climbs if you are feeling good you are going to stomp your way up
Over those climbs you’re going to be powering through them you’re going to keep the power over the top you maximize your momentum into the downhill you’ll use that downhill if you’re feeling bad if you’re feeling bad then when you kick over the top of when you go into them
You’re going to struggle you’re not going to hold the pace and you’re not going to kick over the top of the climb and Into The Descent and that means when that’s done repeatedly the six times through those rollers you will lose time so if you’re feeling good they’re great
If you’re feeling bad they’re horrible I think we’re about to see the three riders in the front of this category One race come together Bel for is really pushing the Gap to Colombia now down to 5 Seconds the gap from colomi to Bon 8 seconds so the time gaps are coming down
They are coming down now is colomi letting bord do a lot of work to come back towards Bel is absolutely nailing herself here to get back in colia is out there just like this this carrot come and chase me Chase me and guess what’s happening that’s what’s happening bfor
Chasing but then bfor will have used a lot of energy and that is going to allow Bon to keep on pushing at a pace she’s comfortable with is that the tactic between the two teammates Bon and Colombia you know and Colombia if she’s been taking it easier has got more
Energy than Belford here yeah so she might have got caught but she’s then going to be coming into these kickers slightly fresher we’re at 29.4k the kickers come at 31.4k belfi again with the fastest time through here one second down is veroni one and a half seconds down is coli but
You look at their times they are struggling because they are mixed in with categories so two and three Riders and the time difference is not huge well I’m wondering whether there’s a little bit of teamwork going on here you let her catch you you sit on it let me push
Away and go clear because she’s happy she’s caught you and now you two don’t necessarily think about me because you can shut her down and bfor if she gets back on goes with colomi she’s just colom is just going to sit on a wheel she’s not going to do any work is she
Only Bel Force just got left to work and then get worked over in the Finish he’s not a great position here for Bel Force the interesting thing is we’ve got Smithers from Cat 2 and Lon from cat 3 in the mix as well uh so it is really interesting as Belfor utilizes that
Steering and is’s in the gutter to try get rid of L and L is still going Lon is pushing but columia and Belfor are about to come together in second and third place on this category One race now we can take a look and we can see Monica
Rona from category 2 worked away now up into 16th she’s leading that category 2 race but she’s tightly with those category three and category four Riders who are ahead of her on the road in fact the category three lead as well there is not much separating them
300 MERS between the leaders in the category 3 race and the leaders on the road at the moment leader on the road at the moment that’s cloudia Hyde from category 4 and HDE and put that distance in that Gap in on the climb she was our
Solo leader over the top in category 4 but we got to see if she can keep this so hide taking the fastest time in category 4 over the top of the Clone but we’re now into the alpaga Hills this is where it is going to count because we’re
On the run into the Vish you can see that Sawtooth profile and behind you can see the express trade that is category three they up to third place you’ve got bogran at the moment the only Rider between mabin in the polka dot Jersey and skins it on the left hand side and
Hiding the bulka do skinsuit on the right hand side so are two Riders who were strong on the climb of the Heritage climb here in alula now chasing and on the front of each of their categories they’re trying to stay clear of the riders in the same category mabin has
Got the Sila she’s got hell behind it’s a 5sec gap back to Johnson in High’s case she’s got 7 Seconds to bog bin now has the opportunity dependent on where she’s caught picking up the rider that’s coming through that is Ming if they can do it before the Finish because time is
Starting to run out our leader on the road now has less than two and a half kilometers to the finish here in qualifier number one so the race distance is diminishing that’s left to run they’ve got to make this count well I’m giggling here because I’m looking at
How Philip a hill there in that category three race on the left hand side of your screen Ed the momentum to come up onto madins wheel that was phenomenal technique from Hill to utilize the push as she transitioned from the downhill to the up to take that momentum and speed
Into the up we don’t often talk about speed speed is really really important through these little rollers far more than whats per kilo you really have to utilize your Technique on the downhill and apply the power in the right place to get your speed high your high speed
Going into the bottom of the climb will be your friend and is a really good technique to learn how to achieve that because he’ll absolutely showing us how to do that and how to do that well keeping her in the mix in that category three race so is the Silva she is right
On the wheel of mabin it’s Johnson who has missed out here but Johnson again she’s not that far off and there is still rollers to go so we’re on our s to profile getting your Technique right here is as important as having the power as important as having the speed it’s as
Important having something left in the tank pretty much here because the technique will save you so much knowing when to push over the top where to ease off where to kick where to back off roner at the moment on the front in category if you look at the left hand
Side of your SC going to come together you see compressing so basically the up and down is reflected in the compression of the groups as they go onto the climb and then the expansion of the group as to go over the top of the climb into the
Downhill you can see the compression on the bottom left hand side of your screen as all of those groups come together behind and then you now see the gap opening back up again as they go into the down accordion isn’t it it is indeed if only you could see both every in the
Studio doing accordion Mo motions here um neither of us can play the accordion that no can you play the Accord in no no there we go good job we know what we’re doing when it comes to bike racing so the distance sticking down Len one and a
Half kilomet to go now for Monica Rona who’s the green Rider on your screen chasing the riders in front now a little bit of a change behind because mbin is now caught Ellen Boren bin has gone from being second to third ride on the road
But now bam will try and go with mbin if she’s got enough in the tank to do that I just don’t think it’s going to be possible at the moment because Emily mabin is on a charge she’s only got three seconds back to the chase group
Behind she is is not going to sit and wait and bog and is not going to hang on that wheel mabin wants the win in the category three R she’s 4 seconds clear of the silver six seconds heill Hill 17 seconds to Johnson she is making her
Move now she’s only got 900 meters to go so here we go this is Emily Marvin she’s chasing Claudia Hyde we are into the last kilometer for Claudia Hyde the leader in category four she’s broken clear of Ellen borren she’s got the Gap she got the polka dot Jersey as the
Leader in the mountains competition she’s going to come up to the end of the hills section here and as she comes to the end of the Hill section it will be 500 meters to go this polka dot Banner indicating 500 met to go and behind her
You can see mabin is coming and so is bogran bogran is the figure in red behind mabin is the figure behind in the poka do skin suit this is going to get incredibly close the gap is coming down 500 M to go of the banner that means
Emily mbin knows that she is 500 met from the Finish Claudia Hyde now coming over the top she will hit this downhill has she got enough of a gap to stay clear of bogren this is going to be Incredibly Close will she take the victory overall will she manage to stay
Clear will category four keep category three at Bay mabin can’t relax she’s got the silver and Johnson coming as well the Riders are on the way in this is the run to the Claudia hide looking good at the moment she’s stretching it out she’s got a power now she’s got to Sprint for
That line she’s got to stay clear and Ming Claudia hide she climbed at the Heritage climb in alula in style she’s ridden her way clear of all of the rest of the Riders the category four Rider is making her way to the line mabin is coming and mabin is kicking on can she
Close it down she’s going to be very quickly on our screens but it’s looking good for Hyde hide is coming and the Gap is is down the Sila’s gone over the top does Sila could get this does Sila May well have this the Silva on the line
With a last gas push went over the top of hi did she go over the top of Ming she did she has taken that by8 of a second the Silva gets the timing right taking the win from mbin from Philipa Hill Claudia Hyde leads in the category
Four Riders on category new Rider coming in and through as well but it’s about the run in category one and it looks to me like that run in is going to be Colombia I think coming in here to make it a way we’re going to just take a
Double check on that because she’s gone through the 500 meters Emma you’ve been watching carefully yeah I have indeed now what is interesting in this category One races columia H has all come back together so bfor columia and Bon all now back together and that mat is the Finish
Line it is indeed this is the Run for the line they’re looking for that UCI Gantry and there’s a kick on the right hand side is Emon Bol who has the Sprint Jersey goes at 5.66 wats per kilo Colombus responding at eight wats per kilo but has she left this too late
We’ve seen the lead change we’ve seen the wind change on the line who’s going to get this B out with the saddle she’s kicking for the line Emma bord takes a winning category one it’s going to be Seline columia who comes through in two and longtime leader Roberta Bon taken in
The last 500 M and that means that she’s going to come through for third place here today A Frantic Finish to my woosh to the Sunday race club let’s have a look at where we are with our riders coming in and through but suddenly coming through in three it should be a
