We took the folding bikes to the coast. This time it was Roker beach in Sunderland on a day with weird weather back in October 2023. We have taken our folding bikes all over. On gravel tracks, around the largest largest artificial lake in the United Kingdom and of course to the coast

Everybody but um yeah it’s it on the Fallen bikes I should have mentioned yeah we’re on the Fallen bikes of course but uh but yeah we’re hoping that was going to be uh bit of a bright y it was lovely quite bik they past but yeah we

Uh yest it was like 20 2 23° so today was going to be was about 18 or something but it’s a bit cooler but it’s all right it’s all right and the wind’s come from the south so no complains so we coming up a place used to be called M

And groto if I remember right just say here there’s a lift that goes down to the front to the beach and Used to Be Like a Rock Bridge over I think I’m sure it was which collapsed I think I remember right just down the bottom oh look look brand new Surface

Look got new Surface to ride on last time I K came down it was fairly rough on the C it was all like loose stores and rocks and stuff wasn’t it I me it’s about while ago was it came down wasn’t it it was a fair well as we came down

Here but the last time we came down it was all rough and Rocky and stuff so it’s all being redone so yeah very nice very nice so yeah we’re heading down toward WS Ro Sunland area we’re just going to be here coming to the lighthouse soon here look coming into a Whitburn

And going pass the lighthouse now there is a new Cy route down um sameway that mean KY you want to do at some point in the pH bike in kitty yeah um is it route one it’s called or something part ofout one yeah part of it part of

Route One yeah um but we want to try it out cuz apparently is all been redoing they spent like some like 900,000 or something on resurfacing and everything so we’re definitely K on trying that out I’m not sure it’ll be this year like it’s probably going to be next Spring by

Now like cuz but the one thing we found is it’s very very difficult to find the route isn’t it KY it’s like it’s almost like it’s almost like the roots hid in the whe like it’s secret for some reason uh maybe maybe don’t the Riff Off us I

Don’t know know but it’s very difficult to find there’s news reports about the new the new route and have the reservice it and all that but no links in the news reports then to get to get to the route you know what I mean it’s like stupid

It’s like hidden it away keeping it secret for some reason but we’ll try and uh use Google Maps and try and find it you know which is D really I mean this day and the age when they’re trying to encourage everybody to go on bikes and

Stuff and then they uh keep the routs kind of hidden away it’s mad mad or make them very hard to find anyway at least got wible on the right here with all the birds sitting on it actually looks nice out when the uh when all the flowers are out looks

Really pretty tell what M the uh bike Lan down here could do with a bit of a TLC I’ve seen the state of it and this is a bike Lan look see the bike symbol there it’s like a bike lane all the way down which

Is good it’s good to have a bik lane but cly what a mess it’s in well we’re here we’ made it we’re at rocker um so this is rocker Beach and further up there’s where we normally go with the South Shields so a little bit further down the coast it’s a nice Beach

Actually here nice very nice I can remember years ago me and my friend used to come down here place called The Block yards us bring the cars down and every used to have a party which is great fun great fun so yeah see bur Beach which is that so yeah years ago we

Used to have a a place down here it was called the blockyard old like industrial yard both big huge and uh we used to um take the cars down and play music and people dance it was just great fun but then people started spoiling it they started bringing stolen cars down and

Stuff like that and the police just stopped it all started putting blockades across the yards and it was so funny though cuz when the police turned up when it was still good when everybody had good nature and that police turned up we also hung our horns at the police

But this was just weird back at us you know the knew it was just a bit of laugh bit of fun um but yeah good times good times SP by the idiots as usual as usual that’s a big bear look folks Big Bear beds getting no that’s one thing supp

Which is what’s about isn’t it get nauticed so this Lighthouse here which the stalins have made their home looks of it was apparently moved here in what 1983 kid you said yeah cast irion it’s got an intricate cast IR staircase all right that’ be pretty cool I wonder if it’s every open

To the P 1856 originally was built but the P crumbled into the ruins of the lighthouses lifted and moved here oh that’s where they moved far cuz the PE crumbled away pretty cool it’s a strange weather he here it’s very it’s mild but it’s like yeah the weather’s been canceled it’s not windy

Beach so yeah if you up in this part of the world up in the Northeast this is a r Beach it’s quite a nice Beach actually been coming in for long time used to come here as a kid um got decent Beach out here with you KY

Good Suns down there yeah we haven’t been down to De but it’s good down there isn’t it it is yeah B on the beach here but it’s a nice Beach as you can see prop a suy beach really nice so we stopped at the um s l House

Coffee um but look at this what Kitty’s got I’ll kill his up biscuit it’s take a late house that’s fantastic it’s got a little biscuit this here and of course the coffees before we head back out on the base again but yeah sh red Lighthouse sh red light I have to show

You that that’s just brilliant love it just noticed there that the uh ligh Lighthouse at the end of the paer there the distance is on ever seen that on when we’ve been through here you see just flushing there must be a little bit Misty a little bit so we’re heading back along towards

Um South Shields area now after our coffee nice SM into you there K and drove into you so yeah we’re at uh suit the lighthouse there for our coffee very nice it was all want kitty very nice yeah very nice that biscuit was lovely one yeah good natural trust coffee good

National Trust coffee yeah coffees are available yeah so yeah you might be right K I think they’ve done the whole road cuz there looks a slippery surface so so you saying before this path’s been done but we think that road’s been done as well but look at this path look at

This this was horrendous before like I said before used to come here all like used to be like gravel like that didn’t it like dirt like that like at the side there bit like that that’s what it was like really rough and horrible now it’s to smooth as glass
