This video covers the section of bicycle touring in Germany I completed when cycling from Greece to England. For the most part, my route followed the famous River Danube cycling trail. (upstream). Cycling the River Danube is a great experience, and something people of all abilities can enjoy. I hope you like this bike touring video too!

Rohloff …….. way to go. I have done nearly 5k on mine riding to and from work in the last 6-8 months without any problems whatsoever. It's a joy to ride and you are never in the wrong gear. When you get it you will think to yourself "Why did it take me so long to finally get one?" But once you have one there is no going back. Maintenance is a fraction of that required to an open derailleur drive chain. If you are riding a lot of miles in all weather on all types of terrain then it is the best option.
What about pinion gears and belt drive? Belt drive = split back stay on bike.
I am switching from my phone to a Gopro 5 Black just for the reason of easier to hold more mounting options and video killed my phone very fast. Should have it next week. Your videos are great keep up the great work. Paul
Those German villages do look very pristine. 'Rottenacker' sounds and interesting place,
That nature is really beautiful. I like the lakes a bridges and rock tunnels. How do you learn about those bike trails. Is there an app you use. Also, what tunes are you listening to when riding? 😉
Quite a detailed itinerary. Great help for cyclists along the Danube trail.
Oh wow so much to see! How many miles was this journey and how long did it take you to get from Greece to England?
Dave I enjoyed this video immensely. This area of Europe looks very scenic. I can't wait for my next European bike trip 🙂
thanks Dave enjoying the ride… appreciate you sharing, thanks again
Nice video man, I've done parts of the River Elbe and River Rhine in the past. Hoping to do this river sometime in the future

This is my ultimate bike dream ride. I envy you. Cheers
I enjoyed. thanks.
A little late but was at that campsite last summer on my bike touring. It really was luxurious.
Ingolstadt is actually the headquarter of Audi
I've criss crossed Germany traveling all over Europe. It's one of my favorite countries to ride in. Lots of separate bicycling paths and not too terrible traffic ever.
Awesome video, my brother. I spent four years stationed in Germany with the US Army. I had a great time. On November 9, 1989, I was there when the Berlin Wall came down. Lots of excitement and hope then. As I write this note, COVID-19 is hitting us hard here in the US. Stay safe and keep riding. Peace from SW Michigan.
