BEST VALUE FOR MONEY E-BIKE in the UK – Eleglide T1

In this video, I review the Eleglide T1 Electric Step-Through Bike. Spoiler alert, it’s outstanding value for money.

I recently had the privilege of reviewing what can only be described as the BEST BANG-FOR-BUCK electric bike on the market today. With a price point of around £700, what’s not to like!

After a quick and easy assembly, the bike was ready to go. The assembly equates to attaching the wheels, handlebar and pedals. Front mudguard and rear light. The assembly instructions and tools for this are all included in the box. The bike is very well-packed.

I have used the bike quite extensively over the past month, and I have to say, it really is an impressive bit of kit. It’s a solid-built road bike. It looks great and feels very sturdy. The LCD panel is crystal clear and offers a lot of information. I should have shown this more in my review. I’m sorry about that.

In Summary, I can’t stress just how impressive this bike is for the money. Do your research and check out all the other reviews on YouTube. Everyone raves about just how impressive it is. Once you’ve done that, then check out how much similarly styled bikes sell for. You’ll be very surprised.

Hi guys and welcome to this week’s video bit of a mixed bag for you first of all it’s a review on what I consider to be the best pound-for-pound electric bike ebike that you can buy currently in the UK and also I’m going to combine it with

Most of my journey will be along a very narrow Canal path I mean what could possibly go wrong right let’s discuss the elephant in the room before we go any further with this video this bike at the moment can be purchased direct from ell Glide or you could buy it from Amazon and

There’s a link below and the price is 69 99 and now that’s incredible if you think that this is a bike not only a bike but a bike with a 250 watt motor to help you along your way okay let’s throw a few important specs at here standing from the front pneumatic tires

27 1/2 in wheels and they’re road wheels so this essentially is a road bike it has hydraulic Forks on the front that are lockable so like now you can lock the hydraulic Forks to make your ride a bit smoother on the flat and of course unlock

It up and of course you can unlock it when the ride is a little bit lumpier has a fantastic LCD display and 7 seven Shimano gears that you could see up here the gears are as they should be nice and smooth disc brakes back and front and a very comfortable seat now

I’ve got to tell you when you see me on the bike please note I’m 6’4 and up nearly 19 Stone so already without the weight of my backpack which is considerably heavy I’m already up to the maximum limit of the bike sorry thank you very much thank

You but it has no problem whatsoever whisking me along this path and up some slight gradients as well I’m not going to say huge hills but have some slight gradients but just the sort of gradients you’d expect to find on normal British roads that shifting through the gears

You do find that you’re pretty much stuck in seventh gear what I tend to do is I’m in the top gear and then I just toggle the power five power ratios delivered on here and everything is visible with an LCD screen and also one thing it’s really important to note as well most

Reviewers miss this and I think it’s super important both the front and the rear lights are powered by the bikes battery so there’s no fuing around with external batteries or separate batteries nothing like that at all and I think this is such a super feature the bike has brake

Lights and that is great in terms of safety sorry mate I always feel so guilty doing that sorry I’m just tickling those pedals and you can just feel that motor kicking in it’s wonderful really wonderful let slow down so it’s not to upset these guys the maximum speed is 15 1 12 miles

An hour that is permitted in the UK is very quickly attained even in third gear okay so I want to go here and look um typical no cycling this is me all settled in for the next 20 minutes or so filming and SN in away at anything that

They stop all the splashing my other bikes don’t have mud guards at all and it is a real bind I’ve got to tell you so paying this much money for a bike that comes supplied already with mud guards is very very impressive the battery range is 100 km according to

Their website but they’re very specific that’s taken on a flat road with battery assist for a 75b person on board so that’s pretty impressive anyway hello how far have I done today so I’m going to flick through so I’ve done 9.8 mil I’ve done 10 miles already and there’s one notch

Off the battery so the battery therefore is probably maybe 85% full or there’s 85% left in the battery and I’d be doing a lot of starting and stopping so again that’s very impressive battery life very impressive this is what the bike was designed for though if anybody’s not

Quite sure about whether to buy an ebike or not let me just explain about these power settings here this has five power settings and how it works is power number one pretty much offsets the weight of the bike it’s not an overly heavy bike I’ve got to tell you but

Therefore if you just wanted to Pedal the bike and assume that the bike was very light then just stick it on Power number one Power number two gives you a little kick when you need it like now for instance 12 milph on the flat it’s not supporting

Me at all I’m in fifth gear and I’m just pedaling and it’s not really a problem and as much as the motor isn’t torque driven which is a bit of a shame it feels when the power starts to or when the speed starts to slow down and when

The speed does start to slow down then it naturally kicks a bit of power in and power level two possibly power level three are my favorite and then you could just keep hold of power level four or five if you’re feeling a bit tired or if you’re going uphill and you want that

Extra boost so when it comes to Fitness and ebikes you can get out of the bike exactly what you want and of course you can ride the bike on power level zero if I put it to power level zero then I can ride the bike now and it

Just becomes an ordinary bike let’s just go down through the gears a second right I’m in third the Shimano gears are fantastic by the way look how responsive that is one click and I’m going up through the gears six and then seventh and it doesn’t skip a

Beat now what you do get with this bike as well is you have a little accelerometer here little accelerator now it’s against the law to use them in the UK unless you’re on private land with the owner’s permission they’re the cly rules and regulations that we have

To obey but how that works it comes with the bike you don’t have to install it but if you do install it all you do is put it down and then turn the power up and it’ll drive you on wonderful thing really so if you’re feeling a little bit

Knacked although I didn’t say to do that cuz that’s wrong and against the law and we can’t do that right now if I click it there’s clearly nobody around so I’m doing this just for demo purposes only you can see 3 to 12 mes hour and I’m on a slight incline as well

And just so you know if you didn’t know I’m 6’4 and I weigh just shy of 19 Stone and I’ve got a 20 pound bag on my back so this bike right now is carrying a lot of weight suffice to say and I imagine you

Will be but if you’re a lot lighter than me or a lot smaller build then you’ll certainly get more miles per battery look I’m in seventh now in seventh gear I didn’t go down through the gears while I stopped I’m going to leave it in power

Five just to show you cuz what you will find is as much as I’m riding this bike more often than not in second or in power number two when that power kicks in now like so where you go slight uphill there you go and already I’ve reached the maximum speed and I’m going

Uphill takes a bit of effort even in power level five cuz it’s a fairly steep hill but of course I still have the the gears to go down right that’s me back at the studio let’s get this bike upstairs to my studio and I’ll give you my final

Thoughts so hopefully you guys have enjoyed this review video bit of a mixed bag for you with a hint of photography in there as well now if you’re in the market for a new ebike or maybe it’s the first time stepping into this market then trust me there is no better bike
