After 2 weeks of slaloming on the wild island of Sumatra we arrive on our 2nd island, the island of Java! This is the most populated in the world with its 145 million inhabitants approaching the capital Jakarta it is very intense, fortunately we are accompanied by

Members of a federation of cyclists very present and widespread on this island one of these members contacts us on Instagram and puts us in touch with all the members located in almost all the cities of Java the cyclists accompanies us on several

Sections he hosts us and often invites us to eat, we are treated like kings [Music] we’re approaching Jakarta it’s getting a little busy we’re in good company we have an escort from one of the city’s cycling federations. An excellent team! We don’t take the bus. Never, No way !! 🙂 We only cycle. This climb is very hard by the way (joking) Nooo, so we arrived yesterday in Tangaran which is a town on the outskirts of Jakarta and yeah it was incredible it was really it was really

Really intense there were hundreds of trucks motorcycles cars and us little ones in the middle fortunately we were escorted by the bike team from the local local there which was great, but yeah yeah it was really horrible and so we are very happy to have made the choice

There of what we already had in mind for several weeks to skip the eastern part of Java that is to say from Jakarta to Yogiakarta it’s half the island and and we have little time left on our visa

And well the fact that we don’t want to spend, I don’t know, 2/3 weeks going through traffic jams, we prefer to jump this section, it wasn’t really in our style until now, we were quite pedaled for it, but we have to try everything we changed style

So here we change style and we try the technique a bit of buses with bikes in the Hello good morning it’s 4:30 in the morning it’s still September 30 and it’s still too hot to wake up later so we wake up early

To cycle a little fresh! come on, we’re going to try to do what 60 km 70 km before 10 a.m. that’s it… On our road to Jogyakarta we pass by the Hindu temples of the 9th century with our last companions of the Federation the rest we decide to do it alone

[Thank you and Pay attention to yourself.) Despite the short time we have, our desire to climb a few more volcanoes on the road is too strong, we leave our bikes for a long day at Adi’s, a great warm

Shower who cooks us the best pancakes in the world and we are embarking on a micro adventure! The view is splendid, all the same we are a little disappointed by the number of tourists compared to Mount Kerinci in Sumatra, fortunately to our surprise

As soon as everyone has taken their photos there is no one left, so we take out our folding chairs and linox and we enjoy the view all alone while watching the tourists [Music] move away a small cabin for the night Our crossing of the island of Java we end with a bivoac in front of the highest volcano of this island Mount Semeru peaking at 3677 m which is one of the most active volcanoes in Indonesia. This time we will admire it from afar the last

Recent eruption caused a lot of damage, we cross completely ravaged villages. So, 3rd boat in Indonesia!! After a month spent on Sumatra and Java it is time to move on to the next island: Bali! Which is just opposite 30 minutes. We choose to cross Bali by the quietest route along

The north coast. We don’t have much time left on our visas and there are still four more to cross it. We decide to do the crossing in 3 days plus short 2 vacation days and that will be it for this time. We will come back!
