  1. They made an A1 cycling highway from Antwerpen to Mechelen. And trust me, it’s a joke. It isn’t a straight cycling route at all. You constantly have to cross the street in weird places, and sometimes you really have no clue where to go. Much to learn from the Dutch…

  2. love the content, but could it be possible to get a more consistent naming system on your videos. i enjoy the commentary, but not the riding videos. its hard to tell which one is which. just a suggestion.

  4. Would be well pleased to have any of this infrastructure in rural Australia. Lovely piece of nature there in Belgium; thanks for the video.

  6. Bad condition is normal condition of my local town of Telford’s ‘excellent cycling routes’ actually there are 4 routes that don’t link or tend to suddenly end. And very little signage. All shared use with walkers and joggers.

How is it after the floods?

  7. Noticing a severe lack of lighting on any of these paths, some might get light because of the road that is next to them, but the others would be a bit scary riding through those sections when it's dark

  8. you can see the clear difference.
NL: It's all about being functional and everyday use.
BE: It's about leisure time during the weekend

  9. My parents were Dutch, I have a photo of them riding side by side on their Fiets in Groningen in the 40's. I live in Melbourne, Australia and I would love to have the kind of bike paths you guys have got. We get 2hrs freedom a day to ride in this crazy city due to the fear of Covid.

  10. People from the netherlands that say that the infrastructure is bad , it is better then most of the world, belgium is working on its cycling infrastructure the netherlands wasn’s transformed in one year

  11. Granted, this is in Limburg, which itself is already decades ahead of the rest of Belgium. And then there's Wallonia, where dedicated bicycle infrastructure doesn't exist outside of a handful of old converted railway lines. Those are amazing though!

  12. Reminds me a bit of a ride in Germany. 80Km away from the Dutch border it’s like 2 different worlds. I wish there would a bike “revolution” here in Germany like the Dutch had. Still a few years behind them. Todays infrastructure standards are the standards from 20 years ago in the Netherlands.
