[Applause] hey everybody sheldoningwald here at Guitar Summit 2023 for those of you that don’t know dingwal has been in business for 35 years and for the last 25 years we have only done multi-scale instruments I think we’ve been doing multi-scale longer than almost anybody in the world and uh we
Really believe in the system so what we have here at the show new color for the NG shell pink it’s limited to Europe only it’s also Limited in numbers so if you like shell pink Now’s the Time to choose one two new colors for Europe are this uh matte metallic blueberry this
Color originally was used on the least flower base and we’ve done a matte version for the NG again exclusive to Europe is this matte Pegasus red this color was developed for a custom Mustang that we built a base to match and this was the interior color and and it’s been
Very very popular we’ve really enjoyed working on this one for fans of 70s finishes we have this drock custom made in Canada with um I think this came from Volkswagen uh but uh it’s a really cool striping pattern from the 70s and this is the only one
There’s there will never be another one but speaking of the 70s um at the shop we’re all fans of uh hot rods and low riders and choppers from the late 60s and early 70s and this would be a common finish that you’d see on that type of vehicle one of the
Details that our finishers do is they do the same matching finish on the edge of the headstock now I personally have a have a West Coast chopper motorcycle and it’s in this color and so I had the team do a matching base and if you look very carefully there’s a
Maple pinstripe that goes all the way around the body this is something that our finishers develop themselves and their masters at it I can’t believe the Precision that these guys can do we have a great team at dingwall One Piece One gay neck we’re big fans of wenge it’s a great sounding
Wood it’s relatively lightweight great sustained lots of harmonic content now this would be an example of our one of our Z series this is a three pickup Z3 Active Electronics four position rotary pickup selector which gives you the bridge by itself these two pickups in a humbucker configuration these two in a
Traditional sort of jazz or PJ and then the neck pickup so it’s very versatile it gives you four distinctive tones that you can you can just dial in very quickly and then if you need to you can adjust with the three band EQ magnetic battery compartments and this base when the photos were
Showed uh uh to a customer it sold in about 15 minutes and so the high-end Z series they’re very hard to find in stores because they sell so quickly here we have an afterburner one quilted Maple top and a stormy sea burst we actually
Had a customer send us a photo of uh the Atlantic Ocean during a storm and this was the color that that we came up with for that again magnetic battery compartments Three band EQ uh dingwald Bridge made by hip shot the inlays are dyed Maple so right from
The top same die to match the center and then the side dots are lumenly so they glow in the dark again a wingy neck this one is five piece although it’s almost impossible to see the laminations The Woodworking team have done a really good job on that flat headstock but with recessed tuners
You don’t need a string tree Rock has been one of our more popular models and so this would be a made in China version now it’s made in China but then the base is sent to Canada where our techs spend anywhere from two to four hours doing the Frets doing the
Nuts going through the electronics and just making sure the base is perfect when you get it this one on all drocks the strap pins are moved to the back which moves the whole base over and makes the balance better you can take your hands off the
Base and it doesn’t dive like that and it’s an easy reach to the first position here we have a prototype of a new model we’ll be releasing in 2024 uh this is a canadian-made sample but it will be a production version at a very very attractive price point we’ve spent a lot
Of time getting the balance rate getting the tone right and working on the Aesthetics and the bridge and the hardware um very excited to see this base uh out in the field and and being enjoyed by customers this is the five-string version and the pickups we spent several months
Working on the pickups our goal was to make it uh within the top three best sounding Precision bases that we’ve ever heard we achieved that goal at least with the bases that we were comparing it to and we hope that you’d like it too all right well thank you to all our
Friends and customers who own and play ding wall guitars we uh we’re very fortunate to have such a wonderful group of people all over the world and uh hopefully I get a chance to meet you sometime soon and take care thank you out

What will the nut width be?
Hopefully 1.5 nut width. 🤞
Another question, will the neck have a compound radius?🤞
PLEASE bring those NG colors across the pond!
Sheldon is a great guy and a genius builder. I love the D-rock
Is this a new bridge, on the NG?
