Montpellier MTD30P 3KG tumble dryer overview

Newest appliance in flat and got it cheaply for £65 and they are on the market for £199 currently in Currys, this is my overview of the machine and features. Surprisingly that it maybe small but has a reasonable drum for the size

Pelia 3 Kg vented dumble dryer this is one of the smallest smallest sensor dryers on the market here in the UK um because most of the other um tumble ders you see on the market I’m referring to White Knight used to be a mechanical timed dry uh 3

Kog dry and so this is lik say the very first one in the UK here um with sensor dry um not very many programs but we’ll get into that so um what what I like about this um yes I did get it off Facebook Marketplace um pretty cheap got

It for 65 quid uh which these and I’ll put a link in the description um is for cies cuz this is the only um Manu uh not manufacturer the only retailer that will actually um sell it for and it’s for uh quid actually 200 and for 3 kilogram that is very expensive because

Um going back you could say 18 months ago probably about mid 2021 um you could get a 7 kilo logic vented drive for 160 so these weren’t kind of on the market then so yeah so like to say it is around 39 3940 CM deep so it will be placed in this

Kitchen um obviously I know it has a vent um obviously it’s got a vent at at the back I I didn’t get the vent hose I’m probably just going to have to find one um probably probably just like a cheap one somewhere um I’ll try and twist it round

Um so you can see what it looks like at the side as as you can tell it is a s De um obviously I’ll give it a quick wipe over and at the back you do have you do have your um let me turn that off I’m turning

It on so there’s there’s your vent um input there um it doesn’t look like a standard vent hose but I will try and fit a standard vent hose on it anyway despite anything smaller but yeah so position so yeah so what I like about it

It does have quite a big door for a 3 Kil compared to like the White Knight ones which do have a smaller door and um so what do get me so that is the 3 Kg drum all R it’s not very deep but it’s going to be adequate enough you do have

Your filter in the front any small one um again I’ll give that a clean out and we’ll end up getting using the Hoover obviously I’m only just doing this for a quick video it’s got lots of hair so I’m assuming they’ve got pets whoever owned this

Before but yeah so and then we will come on to the display panel so here is the control panel here on the um tumble dry it is a very simple um and easy to use control panel so you do have here only four five programs and that is it

Obviously you just select the ones you want because you you’ve only got really three sensor and two sensor Drive programs you probably got a timed quick dry and obviously you have a time it says time plus which means it’s probably just a Time dry and you got refresh so

This is not touch sensitive at all oh maybe it is touch sensitive um but yeah so it is a nice bright white display with the time and this is another reason why I like this machine being like I say the smallest sensor drive but obviously the smallest

One that actually has a digital um countdown timer on it and so obviously yeah when you turn it on you you stick with the standard you got extra which is 1 hour 58 I think obviously you can’t there’s no other dryer setting obviously so obviously you’re not going to get any

More than 2 hours on from the sensor drive from it and then you got standardly 1 hour 46 you got a quick which is a 45 minute I’m I’m assuming yeah you can’t tap it again for any other quicker options and then you got a time plus and then you go got got

From 10 minutes all the way sounds like I’m bloody doing a bloody ambulance sound so you go from 10 minutes up to 2 hours and then you got a you can have a refresh yeah a refresh all the way up to 1 hour which really doesn’t re really kind of

Do anything because um usually with a refresh it’s just blowing air I mean do you really want to blow air into your thing usually refresh is usually about 10 20 minutes um that’s about it really so that’s as I say that is how simple this um control panel is because You’

Got your two sensor Drive programs you got a you got one quick setting you got your time dry up to two from 10 minutes to 2 hours and a refresh from 10 minutes to an hour and then you start button so uh what I’m going to

Quickly do is just put it on um I’m going to put it on standard and I’m just want to see how loud the machine is so just going to adjust myself put it there and we’ll Press Start and see That’s not too bad although yeah oh go that heated up really quickly yeah it’s a very quick heat so also what I’ll do as well I’ll see how much um it actually costs to um per hour to actually run it because being interesting to know so I’ll just quickly

Grab my um display U meter right so we’re all in place I had I just reset the um machine back to start so as you can see here I’m on 3 p an hour so what we’ll do once it gets up to the um once it registers it then we’ll

Just take the 3p off so right so get it Started and must say the instant heat on this so we still on to 36p an hour this is based on my unit rate of 26 P an hour uh 26 P hour my unit rate of 26p per kilowatt hour so 36p so obviously um it’s 1.46 yeah 1.46 Kow uh

1.45 or you can actually take it to 1.4 KW um so yeah so as I say um it’s still quite a um an a um what was I going to say it’s still quite um high energy um tumble drive but it’s it’s only 1.4 being it small anyway so yeah and obviously a
