In this video, I review my aero bikepacking setup for my first ultra distance cycling race, Race Around the Netherlands, 1950 km ultracycling event unsupported cycling around the borders of the Netherlands.
1st: I did some research about equipment looking at the setup of the riders who participated in the event: https://dotwatcher.cc/feature/bikes-of-ratn-2022
2nd: I looked at the racecourse to plan my setup according to the route and race profile.
3rd: Get your bike and gear ready and go for it!

Great video! I am not planning any ultra distance races like yourself, but got some good ideas from seeing what you've packed for potential summer bikepacking adventures. Those restrap straps look like they might be just what I need to secure an old randonneur front bag I have. Also good to learn about the DotWatcher site. I was interested to know how many days you expect it will take you for the race? Also, this is kind of a random question, but on a trip if you stay in a hotel, do you find they generally let you take the bike into the room or would you be required to leave it locked outside somewhere?
Thank you very much for sharing this wonderful video
Don't forget us for your support👍👍✌✌🙏🙏❤❤
So nice videos, greetings from your new fan in Argentina!!!
You can still use your Apedura top tube bag by replacing your bottle cage with side mounted one.
Great video thanks! I was wondering how you mounted the navigation on the aerobars… what setup did you make there? I’ll riding Granguanche next year and preparing for this ultra race so your video was helpful 🙏🏼
Do you know the extra weight you carried on too if the bike own weight?
thank you
Your know-how has helped me a lot. In particular, I got good information about the tailpin rack top tube bag. I am also preparing and practicing for a long distance.
Thank you.😄
Saludos desde Bogotá. Que buen vídeo, excelente el set up de esa bici.
You're a sweet young lady. Let me know if you're ever in California and we can go for a bike ride.
Nice easy set up – I'm still working on mine, 17l tail bag, frame bag, top tube bag and repair bag, soft handle bar bag, food bag either side of the stem. I use a pedal cell for charging and carry a 20k mAmp and 10k mAmp power bank. Aero bars (so easy on the hands) garmin 1030, 3 x 750ml water, salt tabs, magnesium tabs, have carried sleeping mat, sleeping bag and bivvy bag for audax but for racing would use motels I think – less gear. I ride my touring bike (Mongoose Randonneur) for longer distance and my road bike for shorter (say up to 400km) audax.
Thanks
What kind of Aero Bar do you use?
Thank you for sharing! Never realized how much goes into ultra racing
Are you Spanish?
Hello,
Why dont you use a Hubgenerator? I love em. As long as the weel is turning you have light an power for your navigation. So you can safe weight because you dont need so much powerbanks. Take the "Son Nabendynamo" with the "Edellux II" light and the "Busch & Müller E-Werk". Perfect combination. ( and works until -45 Degrees )

Hola, Super nice Video, I came across your channel as suggestion from YouTube and it is great!. I would like to suggest a video from the ultra races… more a bout things tha nobody mentioned that can be a bit "personal" but interesting and useful like:
Do you change racing clothes or do you wash it…
when you go through the night do you stop for small nap or you just carry on… and how is the sensation with tiredness.
would it be nice if you have like strava to link the efforts-route to get more insight of the experience. (your are already given many!!).
thanks a lot. excelente trabajo y contenido!
Love your videos. I always carry disposable gloves and flushable wet but wipes
Me encanta tu bicicleta!
Tailfin look amazing, but the price is way too high.
I have the feeling that you are carrying way too many things twice. Battery, pump, ….
No earphones ? What about water ?
Nice video 🙂 loved it.
You could use side loading bottle cages OR Fidlock twist System, it's magnetic. No frame filling bottle cages but small magnetic bases to attach the Fidlock bottles onto. Up to 800ml each. I really love it.
Carbon paste should stop your seat from slipping. Also it would be interesting to put a weight to all your items. Thanks for the video!!!
Great adventures and tips. I am a fan. Keep it up!!
Wow, so much stuff but so well prepared – amazing! Amazing that you can fit all that stuff on your bike and travel so far. I would love to try something like this one day. I have the Garmin Edge 530, I think it has an alarm built in but i haven't tried it yet – awesome video 👍
You could cut that lock with nail scissors 😂
How did you charge your lights after you cycled thru the night? I just watched your race video, you really didn't sleep that much!
Hello !
Thanks for your vidéo !
I wanted to ask you what is the weight of your bike with stuff
and what is the size of your tyres
thanks !
