Right then folks and we got a treating store for you today not only one of my favorite venues in your wide world ba and whole fishery but I’m going to be fishing on one of my favorite methods in the
Whole wide world which is wagler and it couldn’t have worked out better to be fair folks last night temperatures dropped to like 6 degrees it was 6 degrees in my V when I set off this morning and
It’s great for showcasing what I want to show you today which is sort of wagler coming into Autumn don’t get me wrong we’re where are we now we’re sort of like getting towards middle of September it’s still going to be sort of red up through the days but it’s these cold nights what
Happens with the fish they tend to want to feed up a lot because obviously the next thing on the agenda is obviously the winter Slumber and sort of like hibernating so what these face certainly
The skimmers and the roach need to do uh is feed up so hopefully I’m going to Target some of them I’m sure we’ll get some smaller fish maybe the odd C but certainly on this pool here on Lodge
Pool there’s lots and lots of decent skimmers up to sort of four five pound in weight uh loads of roach in that and I’m going to be using not not so much traditional tactics or traditional baits and maggots and casters I’m going to be using things like pellets and certainly sweet corn
Feeding little sort of like soft balls of ground bait uh with some micros in just to get these fish really competing and hopefully feeding up uh and that can show you lovely lot exactly how we go
About it so without further Ado I’m going to get s s sat down on me peg go and get me 13t wag Rod out and uh get it geared up and hopefully we’ll get snarled up into some lovely skim is [Music]
Yeah right then folks so here we are then we’re all set up and we going to talk you lovely lot through exactly how I’m going to approach these wonderful fishes today here at baen Hall um what
You’ve got to bear in mind though is ignore the sun it’s it’s boiling not now we’re not even at 10:00 it’s boiling up but it’s been so cold the night before and this is what I want to sort of
Like get across to you that you can attack your peg a little bit give it a little bit of feed which is what you’re going to do but you’ve got to be careful with sort of um how many free offerings
You given them if you like you know sort of like the the particles I want to be really selective today otherwise if I was fishing natural baits I’d get M with like little babby roaches little
Babby PS things like that there’s so many of them in here it’s going to make for a fantastic like winter series on there I can’t wait for it but um yeah that’s why I wanted fish baits like uh
Corn maybe six mil pellet things like that just to try and get through to some of these massive bream and skimmers so first things first I’m fishing a wagler simply because conditions blend themselves
To it today folks with it being really bright you know the fish are going to sort of spook off your Pole Line especially when that water starts to go a little bit clearer so let’s go through the
Setup first things first I’m going to go from the real end obviously I’ve talked through this loads and loads and loads on on videos but it’s so important that I go through it again um real
Size I’m going to say anything from sort of like a two and a half to 3 and a half thousand reel uh this is uh the ctis 3,000 reel um you know not overly cumbersome not tiny but just a nice size
Reel you don’t anything too big like your you know your four 5,000 feeder style size reels they they have no place like this style of fishing where when you’re looking to cast especially with the wagler setup I’ve got when you’re looking to cast no more than sort of 25 M just nice and
Comfy nice fishing um that is loaded with 16 and it’s our float MAX Line um again conditions lend themselves today perfectly for having that line floating you know there’s no wind um if there
Was wind on the venue and obviously I was pleasy fishing I’d go try and pick it so the wind was on me back don’t really want a side win with this obviously depending on how quick you’re getting bites if you’re getting bites within sort of seconds of your float Landing it doesn’t really
Matter if you got a bit of a bone your line but ultimately I want to keep my line as straight as possible so 16 which is around about3 now the reason for that is because when it comes to me
Float I’m using quite a light float um and I want to I want to get to the the area where I’m fishing nice and comfortable I don’t want to be sort of like forcing that uh that float out because
Obviously I’m using bait straight on the hook certainly corn it’s pretty soft if I’m forcing that that Rod too much then my bait’s going to fly off so I just want to give it a nice sort of like
Light press out so the float goes exactly where I want it to and you’ll only achieve that by using a finer main line of line if you like so that’s why I’ve gone for 16 coming on next to the rod itself
I’ve always said you need sort of 13 foot minimum for for these kind of uh venues and for the time of year but 12 foots 12 foots are all right you know certainly for the distance that I’m fishing
Today um not overly you know fishing that far you get away with the 12T Rod but ideally it wants to be on the softest side certainly for the likes of these skimmers or you know f1s car a car don’t
Blow me out of a car but as I said we’re not tight will hopefully not targeting them today if they come along they come along uh so ideally a nice soft action Rod nothing sort of poke in the tip
You want a nice through action and these Super X rods are absolutely superb for that so 13 12 minimum 13 ft is the ideal uh length Rod cheeky so next thing will come to set up I’ve talk you
Through Plumbing up and everything as well uh but set up so first things first uh I’m using the stops pelet wagler kit that goes on so you get one uh stop above you get the swivel in the middle
Snaplink swivel and you get two two stops below which is perfect for you know if I want to change that wagler nice and quick should conditions change on the day or I feeling as though I want
To TU a little bit further I can uncp that nice and click ex that nice and quick rather exactly what you do with a pelet wagler put a heavier float on or vice versa you know if it’s too heavy
I could drop to a lighter one it’s a dead simple and also the beauty of them is you can move them nice and easy on your line to change depths you know if the fish are feeding through the water
Then obviously can knock depth off and soever so on and so on now coming down the line so it’s it’s set at the minute around sort of 4 and 1/2 foot which is plum to death but I want to go through
Plumbing with you shortly I’ve got three number eight number eight now starts and not shots you know obviously a massive fur using shots on me pole rigs you know when I’ve got them like nice uh spread where I don’t want them to move but we wagler fishing plumber neck I might be changing
Me depths multiple times throughout the session so what you’ve then got to do is move your shots obviously for it to register to bite so fish are feeding through the water and I do like to use quite positive shots certainly for this time of year and obviously with the bait that we’re
On so I’ve got three number eights I’ve got one there which is what probably 2 and 1/2 foot from a hook one there 10 in below that I’ve got another number eight and then 10 in below that below that
Rather I’ve got another number eight and I’ve got me hook length on which is folks let me just put that rod down so I can show you you know how we don’t like to mess about ear so I’ve got a
14s GP M to 15 I’ve got one of them on I’ve also got some uh sfls which are on3 but 14 Zs I’m not bothered you know the fish they’re still feeding you know what I mean it was it was red hot sort of
Last week but it’s only just start to come colder but this this video in particular is like how you go about targeting it when we do get proper into sort of like Autumn you know you get them really
Cold nights you can still get away with sort of like bigger standout bait so that’s why in turn I want to use it a bigger hook I don’t want to be using sort of like 18s and 16s uh 14s 12s
Even you know what I mean get get lots of maggots on there get you know a bigger piece of corn and get like a you know if I was using pellets I’d be on a on a banded pellet so don’t go too sort
Of like small too early Mainline makes a massive difference that’s one of the things you got to consider obviously because I’m only using a light Flo I’m not casting it far um and obviously the
Other things is obviously real size and your Rod if you get all them combined nice and you’re not a problem at all so that’s a setup I’m not doing anything complicated what I will say is we’ll
Probably do this towards as a session progresses is I’ll move around with these shots I’ve got them spread at the minute but what I’ll do if I really want to get down to the to where the fish are nice
And quick as I said I’m not really interested in fishing through the water you know how much I love fishing shallow but I want to fish on the bottom for these fish so if needs to and this is
The beauty of starts I can move them down I can have you know a little tiny bulk of T but eight a me droper or if that’s not positive enough and I’m still not see SE in the bites then I’ll just
Move all them number eights down just to above the uh the hook length there which will be about what 7 in or something like that so I can fish really positive and really detect them bites even
Take a number eight off and put it on the hook length you know I will fish slightly over depth you know couple of inches over depth which leads me on nicely to Plumbing up I’m going to show you
Exactly how to Plum up now it’s not like how you’d think you’d Plum up on a pole with a plummet and all that no no no if you go chucking in a pluming plummet all over the place you’re going to scare
Fish into you know other people’s pegs instantly so we’re Plumbing up with a with a nice big shot so let’s see how we do that now right then the all important Plumbing note but how dare I not mention
What kind of waglers we using before just forgot all about it folks is I uh right so what you’ve got to consider this time year I mean obviously all all times year I love using certainly for this style of fishing traditional fishing insert waglers but you potentially get away even with
Like straight waglers for now I’m not going to say they’re they’re not the best for it but with how these fish are feeding up and obviously certainly we car then you certainly get away with the straight waglers which you probably you know more traditionally used for like your pelic wagler
Fishing or on rivers or something but ideally if you’ve got some insert wagglers and what I mean by insert is obviously these bristles interchange and the insert into the top of your float just a lot more sensitive and little a lot better for bike detection so if you got inserts ideally use
Them but you know still while it’s still that little bit warmer you’ll get away with the with the straights but when it comes into winter you do not want to go anywhere near them folks with
These kind of fish yeah you must must use insert waglers so that out of the way I’m using uh a two G one today so it’s one of our it’s one and a half uh which is loaded uh and then it’s 0.5 to like
Dot it down now well I said dot it down I don’t want to really dot my float down today like I would say in the winter I’m going to be bringing it down so I’ve got got sort of I don’t know a
Good half an inch maybe 3/4 of an inch showing cuz when these fish take the baay and going to be fishing over depth I want to make sure they’re on probably miss a few bites but remember if I miss
A bite folks it’s a line bite it’s not a proper bite yeah what I don’t want to do is dot it right the way down like that I’m not looking for them little dinks uh I want to ignore all them because
We’ll be joining still a lot of fish in the peg so I want to ignore all these little line bites when that float goes down hopefully nice and slow and that’s it fish will be on so that’s that bit over
Of the way right all out of the way leder well not Ledger bombs big shot so I’ve got me special Big Shots here now what I’ll use is something like that uh an SSG or triple SG something like that
Make sure your float’s shuted right first so what you don’t want to do is put an unloaded float on um because if some other floats that you’re using the the weight that you’re putting on your hook
Might not be enough to sink the float if that makes sense so make sure your float is shuted right first and then you know that this is going to sink your float if you’re not on the the bottom
Right so first thing we want to do then is put that on our hook so dead simple I’m just going to literally put the hook into the slot cheeky and then just tighten on to that and give it a
Bite down and that’s what you’re left with yeah so you’ve got your your big shot on your hook now casting wise don’t wind your float right the way up to your Rod tip because all you’re going to
Get is just going to get your your float coming straight down for your Rod tip and just going to making a a horrible commotion in the water make sure you’ve got a good I’m going to say five six
7 foot of line something like that between your your Rod tip and your float when you’re casting out now it’s not overly deep here now this is on the bottom or it was before so I want to show you
What you do so basically when you go into cast I’ve got a nice bit of line out come back behind me now my marker is around sort of the point of of the island if you like but I’m not bothered
About being overly spread I’m not bothered about that uh you know that that big area it’s not like again pole fishing when you got a little Bobby pot on and you’re putting a little bait in you
Get them in a little column I want to get loads of fishing me P that’s the beauty of using sort of a big standout hookbait like corn you can get them over a big area I don’t want to be overly accurate
Right so waffling away you can see uh me floats out of the water now so I know for the fact that I’m on the bottom yeah but I’m going to bring that back and I’m knock 6 in off it so all we do dead
Simple obviously with these stops you’re pulling them down sort of 6 in and then pulling that other one down so now we should be off the bottom and we shouldn’t be able to see that float just want
To show you how simple it is and what I do is a as a r so again around about the point of the island 20 M I don’t want to be casting more than 20 22 M at the absolute most so so let all that slack
Resistance go and you’ll see now that we can’t see our float so obviously we knew on the btom before so what what I’ll do now if the First cast I put in I can see me float and then I’ll come down at
6 in intervals until I stop seeing me float and then I’ll go up at 2in intervals so I can get a really really accurate reading on my float and know exactly how much over depth I am if that
Makes sense so can’t see me float so I’m going to come back and put it up 2 in yeah bit it’s one of them it’s a little bit you know fauy if you like but it’s summer you’ve just got to do folks it’s
Like makes a massive difference and it’s perfect conditions like this for you to do it so I’ll put that float up 2 in again the around point of the island which is perfect feather it down and just
Let out a load of slack let me see that float just let all that slack go I can just about see the tip under under the water cuz it’s like yeah you can see that tip just coming up now just under the
Surface of the water you getting in on that result you not see it it’s literally just just under probably about an inch under so if I put another two Ines on that and i’ be able to see that float
I say it’s it’s perfect today obviously been bright and probably got about 10 in of visibility in the water I can see that pling yellow bristle really clear so if I put that up on another 2 in
100% I’ll be able to see me float this time I’m going cast that out again again in that same area on there point of the island 20 of MERS let all that slack go just let that line sort of like
Come back against itself and you can see now we can see that float yeah you got that result he’s on it the loud so nice straight line point to the island I know that I’m fishing over dep so before
It was just under the surface so we’re probably like an inch inch off I’ve gone two 2 in more so that means I’m an inch over now I’m going to put another sort of two or three inches on that
Cuz I want to make sure that I’ve got a lot of line on the bottom I probably have that well I will have that much bristle out so that when a fish takes that bait I know I know that it’s on
If that makes sense so we know we on the bottom there about an inch over but I wouldn’t be more than that if it was windy and there like Towing of any you folks I’d go that full float you know
Um you go you go right over depth depending on obviously all the fish having it so that on there so I’m going to put that up another sort of 2 in and then put my shots up to it so I know
Now that I’ll be roughly sort of like dragging 3 to four Ines of uh hot length on the bottom now 6in hook length obviously videos I’ve done in the past certainly for like you know winter style fishing for catching everything like hopefully we will do today you’ll you’ll have known that
I do like to use longer hook lmbs 10 12in hook LMS again for this style of fishing you know where we want to be a little bit more positive and using different baits then that’s why I’ll use a short
Hook L as soon as a fish takes picks that bait up with a big Hulk I want it to sort of like jolt off a little bit and that’s why I’m fishing a lot of line on the bottom so it’s going to give me
The best chance of hitting byes remember don’t miss proper bites uh and that’s it’s all it’s dead dead simple the only thing that I will play around with not much probably depth today unless we’re getting like you know a few liners or maybe foul up face and I’ll come a little bit shallower
Uh if I’m feel I’m missing by and again I’ll go a little bit deeper the main thing that I’ll play around with is probably these shots you know if I’m not seeing the bites quick enough then I’ll
Quickly move this uh drop a shot down not third one bring it into me middle one and then if I’m still missing bites I’ll bring them all down and put them right on my hook length Sim similar to
How you’d like you know fish with a with a pole rig you know nice and positive his shots right down near near hook length so you seeing them bites as soon as you happen um that’s it for
Plumbing up you know dead simple I’m ready to fish but before ad do we’re going to go through bait so uh so we just go through bait now all we don’t need a separate one for that do we yeah let’s
Go through bait so what I’ve got is I’ve got I mean ignore the the six mil pellets in this but basically super Crush expanded ground bait for me folks certainly on these kind of venues where you
Just want sort of like the center of that ground bait bringing the fish into your Peg and you don’t want to overly feed them up because you wanted to pick your hook bait out the sunny bait super Crush expander is probably the bestest ground bait in the all wide world I absolutely adore
It uh as I say you know the six mil pellets uh basically what I do I get two level fill um tubs with the ground bait first and then it’s exactly same amount of water so two lots of ground bait
Two lots of water leave it for sort of like 20 minutes half an hour give it a mix to then put it through a four mil riddle and that’s what you’re left with you’re left with a lovely fine but like
Really sort of binding mix basically when I’m when I’m binding my mix I’m using these fingers so I’m getting sort of like an accurate ball c g I’m getting an accurate ball all the time yeah there’s going to be some weed one today folks but as I say I’m not overly bothered basically
I’m using them fingers to come into the ground bait to give it that initial squeeze and then I’ll mold that into a bowl so it’s roughly I mean it’s a big grape in it but it’s like I don’t know
What kind of fruit you’d sort of like resemble that to come quat I don’t know it’s like a a big grape it’s that kind of thing but like grape size to sort of like extra extra extra large grape size
That’s what you want you don’t want anything too big or nothing too small but basically once that hits the water it’s going to pretty much explode on impact but it’s the sense in the particles and
The other thing that I’ve got in there is as I saying about the particles is some 2 mil micos now what I did with them as soon as I got here soaked them for sort of 50 seconds to a minute in
The water took them out and that’s it they’re good to go not interested in binding them into a ball or anything like that I just want to add them to me mix of ground bait so it keeps them fish sort
Of grubbing around and then the other thing I’ve got is obviously our beautiful corn um I I hook this different when I’m fishing on the waget to I would hook it on a pole which will go through but
Basically I’m not going to be feeding hardly any of this I’m going to be firing in sort of like 10 to a dozen bits of corn every flipping NE every maybe 15 minutes I really really want them to
Pick my hookbait out that’s what I’m not overly concerned about obviously the ground bait going in it’s that initial they hear the noise and the sort of like com into your peg it’s the center of
That ground bait the MOs getting feeding but then when they see that big bright yellow piece of corn it just stands out over anything and they just nail the bait it’s a fabulous way of fishing this
Year I absolutely adore it um so I think that’s me done with waffling let’s go and catch some [Music] fishies [Music] right can’t wait for this M for I’ve got fish fizzing on the bait I put a little bit of
Bait out probably put around 20 grains of corn out and I’ll give it four sort of like the what do we say the word like a come quat big grape size balls of uh ground bait with a few micros
In typical though folks as on Q literally the wind has just G up so what that’s going to do to presentation who knows but hopefully we’ll be able to catch you some skimmers early on now
You remember me saying I do you won’t be able to see from there but I hook me corn on the wagler slightly different so when I’m fishing on the pole I hook it through the side so me hooks
Really uh exposed but when I’m fishing with a wagler I hook it right down the middle so the the corns Landing sort of straight but your hooks out the other way if you like it just seems
To hold on a lot better you won’t be able to see from there so I don’t even know why I’m showing you but right here we go then First cast First cast point to the island feather it in I mean
I’m not overly bothered about Feathering it to be fair um but because obviously the the shots in your and your your hook baits pretty heavy I mean don’t get me wrong you yeah Feathering is
Is best but don’t overly worry about it too much it just lands in a bit of a clump so you can see you can see there that we’ve got fish fizzing so I’m not going to feed at the moment now bearing
In mind like I’ve only started fishing this Lake probably well about a month five weeks ago me and Jamie did a challenge match on there on a feeder few pegs away and we couldn’t believe how good it
Was so that like since then I’m like right I’m doing everything at B and all it’s amazing it is evident that the fish love feeds I’m not going to go too long without feeding not give them going
To give them loads of corn uh it’s the ground bait that they seem to come to certainly on that feeder it was like every 90 seconds 2 minutes if you didn’t have a fish like within that time you’d
Have to wind Back cast it in again uh so I can’t see it being any different on uh on this in that I’ve got to put quite a bit of bait in so it’s just started to drift a little bit that float
Now which you’d expect with his bloing wind and I’m not sinking me line say I don’t want to be in there overly long once I feel that my float is out of the the catchment area I’m going to bring
It in cast in again as it is now though there’s bling there’s fish fizzing around around me float going to see if can men that and see how much of a drift on that I’ve got that’s still acceptable
Remember I’ve got a good sort of 4 Ines of line on the bottom which will hold uh me rig in place that that little bit longer um don’t know me wrong I have got the option to oh here we go
We’re getting a bite then I have got the option that’s why I’m you can see how much bristle I’ve got out so we probably drifted about a hey he’s on first truck for you then folks so you see we
Probably had about a meter drift on that then but I’m not bothered you know what I mean these fish the size of these fish oh my days look at these skimmery Bobs some of you might even
Say these are bam they’re just just amazing I can’t get enough of this style of fishing for this time of year and we’re not fishing far out either so we’re soon under your Rod tape
And oh folks look at these you see he’s blown the the corn up the line look at the state of that this I think this is going to be Z’s faest ever place in the old wide world right in the
Bottom LP which You’ expect fishing over de but look at the look at that folks for the first fish of the day probably 2 and a half pound something like that beautiful skimmer and a lot of these pluming that folks have never even been caught before literally never seen a hook that
Was like really evident the first time I fished it last year um cuz it’s predominantly sort of like a a c water um you know or like a runs water these these skimmers and like roach and ibds and
Pits they all get sort of like left if you like and pluming heck it’s it’s just ridiculous this venue but you know obviously if you don’t live anywhere near this place uh you’ll have venues like this that has obviously got carp in you see a lot of like uh fish meal-based products you
Know maze corn things like that so there’ll be a load of sort of like silverfish you know skimmers roach that are just going to get overlooked you know from people fishing for car go and
Check them out folks that’s all I can say got to go and check them out I’m having another going I’m definitely going to feed this time so on with another piece of corn well they’re still fishing there actually it didn’t make much commotion so he’s drifted it’s probably about a meter
From where I want to be that but that’s where I had that last fish so I’m going to leave that see what happens obviously at the minute I’ve got them shot spread to give me option of potentially
Catching through the water although number eight STS though they are going to sink pretty quick uh and it’s only sort of like 4 and 1/2 foot deep no more than 5 foot certainly um but yeah I’m
Just going to leave it that a little bit long so put put a little bit of bait in um I don’t want to I don’t think you can overdo it though folks you know what I mean I really don’t I’m pretty
Convinced that if you just welled loads of Casters in you’d end up catching these shallow it’s just ridiculous but obviously for the the time of year that I want to sort of focus on that that autumnn
Time you know when everything does start thinking about shutting down and it’s going a bit cold the water starts to go a bit clearer these tactics work so well uh certainly rod and line gets away
From the fact that obviously Clear Water the fish can’t get Spooks off the pole over the Reds if you like um but it’s just that way feeding you know introducing that ground bait not so much l than
Often because sometimes they they’ll want it you know if I don’t get one this time I’m definitely going to feed next time they want it all the time uh with a bit of particles in to keep them
Grubbing and then obviously your big standout hookbait over the top so as I say corn wise I’m going to feed 10 to a dozen grains every 10 or 15 minutes I’ve got a I’ve got some swirling
In me Peg there it’s not car it’s a big skimmer or hybrid or some yeah greens a corn every 10 or uh 10 to 15 minutes and then the ball I don’t know every sort of probably every other cast
Maybe every sort of five four or five minutes I’ll have to see what what happens certain if I don’t get a fish this time I will put another ball in now what I’m going to do oh another little dink
Then what I’m going to do with the ground bait is not follow me float if you like because I’m not clipped up I don’t want to be clipped up I’m not interested in that I want to cast around the area
Uh I don’t want to be like overly accurate took to a clip because I’m fishing fairly light if I took to a clip and O some it light massive it’s shut off I might not be able to get me clip undone in
Time so I want to be casting around the area and obv the beauty of venues like this that are pretty silty they’ll give you a good indication of where they are obviously at the minute I’m out of the
The area where it’s you know sort of fizzing at the most if you like which you know ain’t a problem we still expect to catch fish that’s where I caught the last one from but obviously
It’s telling me that the fish are obviously where the the Fizz in that’s where the main amount of uh fish are um so I’m not going to leave it overly long before I wind back in and cast it in again I
Think that’s what I need to I’m going to do it now I’m going to do it now I’m pretty I’m I’m convinced so folks just left left it and left it and left these every time I will eventually catch
Fish I’ll do there yes what was saying before about the ground bait now I’m not oh I could he say we had one on the drop I was expecting that do apologize for it’s got a bit giddy probably a
Roach or something like that or rud that’s if the ruding there might not even be any pluming ring in I don’t know I’m sure there would be uh what was I saying about before waffling
That much folks oh yeah ground bait wise so what’s important is I don’t want to feed where me float LS every time because my floats going over a bit of an area yeah I’m not overly concerned
About getting me ground bait bang on me float I want to make sure I’m putting me ground bait in the same spot every time which my marker is the point of the island so I don’t want it round me
Float I want the float to drift into that so you see where I put that ground right there that’s where I’ve got the main amount of Fizz and it’s lined up with the point of the island yeah because
If I started chasing me float round all all the time with a ground bait I’m going to get pockets of fish Here There and Everywhere so make sure you’ve got your marker which for me is point of
The island and you cashing it on that um sorry catapulting the ground bait on that every time rather than just sort of like ball over there ball over there ball past it ball short ball left ball
Right that kind of thing don’t want to be doing that because the fish should be like oh where we going now oh where we going now different sort of like your particle bait you know what I mean but
With ground bait where it’s only going to sort of like break up into that area you don’t want little pockets of fish everywhere so I’ll just let that that’s drifting that’s going to drift through lovely into where they’re fizzing that is looks perfect seems weird having sort of like
That much bristle out but you’ve got to on venues like this certainly when they you know rock up in numbers you’ve got to have a bit of bristle out if you if that was dotted fish comes into it knocks
It with its Fin and goes under you striking then you’re just not going to catch him obviously the liners so by having a bit of bristle out just gives him time to uh to take it obviously apart
From that last one that took it on the drop right we getting right into the catch zone now if you like folks there’s a lot of lot of fishing going on there probably about a meter maybe two meters
Short of where I first cast it but not bothered all see that was another skimmer that it’s up in the water then over me uh over me feed God it’s mad this just venue wise folks I just can’t can’t
Tell you how good it is but another little bit of a Fizz there oh here we go here we go just what I mean about fishing over depth you know there’s one on your on your hook bait or you know one around
Your around your your your bait you that a little bit of a bit of a dink then so if you’re fishing any any f would just struck at that oh yeah see what I mean yeah so make sure you fishing over dep
And got a lot of this water and then you don’t miss him oh my days folks I am in heaven it is just can’t tell you can’t tell you how much I adore this style of fishing absolutely brilliant
And obviously if we did catch some at like great big and cpy we’re not fishing over your light you know got 15 Mainline on Big H then he just gives you every chance of getting them in you
Know what I mean yeah boy what I would say nice long uh Landing that handle you know when you’re fishing on shallower venues like this don’t use your short of two and three meter handles that You’ use for you know sort of like your maybe your traditional um sort of shallow beautiful skimmer
That pound 12 or something that you use feel like you can’t fishing with your short kit got a nice long ideally 4 M handle because of your longer rods and you know shallower water than fish as
Soon as you pop up you want to be on them straight away just what fishing again folks slime on your line which you’ll get from these fish make sure you wipe it all off and then check your hook no
Slime on that and then you straight back in business again get that slime off oh n would get a fish then it’s coming right right over that catchment area again there’s still fishing there’s still fish around there I mean obviously match conditions are probably probably be a little bit
More aggressive maybe but don’t need to be today but I’m still going to feed anyway I want to put another little ball in again just make sure that the same size every time another little bowling
Around the area and we put some corn in this time as well sort of like 10 to a dozen grains of corn again not overly bothered if the you know go over a massive area don’t bother me just get that baai
In don’t bother me at all and it’s a case you just we’re not even have to wait long are we I said the main thing is fishing over depth with quite a bit of bristle showing for this style
Of fishing I just I adore it takes me right back to Bas folks takes me right back to days at the minute it’s perfect obviously with the lime but if you had any you know sort of wind on with the
Lime floating it will be taking it off off of course a little bit so then what you’d have to do is obviously maybe put a heavier wagler on overcast where you’re fishing submerge Your Rod
Tip and sink your line um but for today I think that sometimes that little bit of a drift does actually help you know what I mean certainly when you got like the the spread of your bait
Going on you can you know T them fish over a over a big area so the main patch of bubbles are just this side of me float so what I’m going to do straighten that line a little bit just bringing
Me float back perfect oh yeah look at that fizz in there right on me float if there was tension you said there would tench but I don’t know if there’s tension so they probably not tench they’re
Going to be slimy popadoms aren’t they go on the popadoms oh look at that folks it’s going to go you just know it’s going to go come on getting a little bit more wind on that uh on that ser
Now not ideal but I don’t think it’ll matter for for this time of year and for you know these fish sometimes a little bit of a little bit bit of a drift’s fine so I’m going to carry on hopefully
Getting snared up in even more skimmers and bream so why don’t you join us in a bit and we’ll see what we’re getting on yeah boy right you lovely lot about an hour in and it’s just it’s just
Amazing you see what this light fizzing there um I’ve only had to make one sort of like oh look at that one slight change in that spin to bring one of the number eight shots down to the middle one
To the top one I brought down to the middle one just because I didn’t feel as though I was seeing the bites quick enough everything that I’ve had I’ve had to usually Discord on which is great
Means that they’re not going to fall off not lost any folks I promise um but I just want to see him a little bit quicker and since I’ve done that I’ve been Hing him in the mouth still getting
The odd one Discord you but it’s just just been amazing um feeding wise I’ve just been on with that little ball every every cast in pretty much again keeping it on that marker on that line on
That island not chasing me FL out and then I’ve not done anything different with the corn I’ve not tried bandid pellet or anything like that yet I’m sure everything will work but it’s just great
Fishing corn cuz it just stand out um yeah I’ve had I’ve had them to sort of like I’d say over three pound three and a half pound maybe the biggest one I’ve had just jumped out of the
Water just kept on jumping out of the water I’ve had a couple of little babby ones sort of maybe 8 O 9 o but they’re average in sort of a pound and a half to two pound if you like maybe a bit
Bigger it’s just what a venue folks it’s amazing wind’s not really affecting me much it’s blowing at me which is is perfect I’m sure if i’ fished it shallow we like blasting castes and I’d be catching these shallow because there’s a lot sort of up in the water swirling um but obviously look
At fizzing as well you can see there’s loads on the bottom incidentally when that wind is blowing you float back towards you you’ll see me then I just just W that line back in a little bit
Because I want to make sure I’m in contact with me float all the time um it’s important that that you don’t really have too much slack line ideally a straight line is ultimate best you can get uh
But if it’s just starting to bend out a little bit it’s not too much but it’s when it sort of like comes back in yourself at this end you’re picking up too much slot line so again I’m just
Winding a little bit more just to make sure I’m in contact with the uh with the float so you see it’s just starting to creep out a little bit now that that Line’s getting blown out to the to me
Left which is not what I want and i’ say I’m a little bit short now so bring that out and cast it in again just short of where I’ve been feeding that Main amount of um ground B if you
Like so just go a little bit further out that’s perfect bring that back a little bit lovely I’m going loose feed some corn this time I’ve not done that for a bit just going to put sort of
Like 10 to dozen bits in there we go you can see the spread I’ve got on that corn yeah don’t bother me in the slightest where that float is now is exactly where the ground bait’s been going
So that’s what we want just tighten down to that just to move that float a bit just make sure I’m in contact there we go that looks fishy out there folks don’t it that’s got to go that
Oh there we go so again all them little knocks in that that’s why you know we’ve got line on the bottom and we’ve got more bristle out so not striking at them false bites them liners when he
Striking when we get that knife slow slow bite go on then go on then oh here we go see what I mean yeah nice slow bite and he’s on that’s what it’s been like that’s what it’s been like folks it’s
Just best we fishing ever I say that about everything though and I always say that don’t that but can’t get enough of this look at them Beauties that’s what they’ve been like I had a couple smaller but most of them have been sort of like that but this is o they’re a bit
Bluming angry I’m going to say this is since I’ve changed that shot in we’re hooking him much better you know I’m not having to use the discordia everything’s been in the uh in the bottom lift
And it’s all because I’ll show you what I’ve done just wipe myself up CU it’s a little bit messy show you what I’ve done so basically that shot one of them number eight was up there I brought that
Down so I’ve got two together now I’ll probably get away with all them on my hook length but at the minute I don’t feel as I’ll need to change anything so what’s the is probably 15 16 in away
Maybe and then I’ve got my other number eight start which again which is still just on me uh on me Loop to Loop and it’s been much better since I’ve done that not Chang around with depth
You know I’ve not had to just sticking it the same same bit same bit of corn look through that top and we are in so I’m not going to feed this time I want to to Fe of ground bait but there’s
So many fish fizzing now I don’t feel as I need to if I don’t catch one this time then I’ll oh oh that one had it on the drop that’s like that’s only the second one I’ve had on
The drop that check that corn that Conn’s all right prop a nice slow bite that on the jop it’s been that back a bit into them bubbles bibbles yeah I’m going to see if I can catch one without without feeding so I don’t want well I do want loads of
Fish there it don’t matter so yeah I want to feed another bow feed another bow folks yeah can’t help it little bit short but I’m not overly bothered let’s put another one in actually there we go there we go right on it don’t have to be that accurate folks honestly
You know where that first one landed that’s acceptable it’s all about getting them into the area theyy up that one’s on you on lad he’s on oh dropped it little oh here we go
Go on then let’s wait for that nice slow that’s what we want here we go he’s on see what I mean folks oh folks if you’re within five hours of B and all get yourself here honestly I’ve been
Here what I’ve been here three times in the last five weeks all filming and it’s never never ever disappointed been with Jamie for winning ways we’ve done some things we winning ways with Rich it’s just I just want to do everything your wide world coaching wise
Filming wise I just want to come here it’s all we’re coming here all the time we ain’t going anywhere else I think this is a big one and it’s in real time folks yeah real time literally straight on it straight on it let’s have a look at this one oh yeah oh yeah
Oh my days look at the state of that I think that’s our might be our biggest one biggest one of the session so far that one folks they’re not happy all snowed up pluming slime everywhere
These are not happy again right at the bottom of the lip perfect I’m going to hold this one up for you just so you can get a look what to expect let let me give him a little uh little bit of
A rinse first get some slime off him look at the state of these I’ve never I don’t think they’ve been caught before folks look at the size of them like they’re only light i’ they young fish look at
Them3 might not been the biggest one I think the one that that jumper I had was like a bit bigger than that that’s probably 36 3 7 just just stunning folks so I’m going to
End it on that and I’m going to catch me some more want you join me in another another hour then I think we’ll have more than enough for a for a cat shot we’ve got enough for
A catch up now folks but join me in an hour and see how we get on see if I made any other [Music] [Applause] [Music] changes [Music] so then folks since the last time you joined me it’s been pretty much business usual
Still catching Plenty of Fish um got a few more sort of small well they’re not even small they’re like proper chunky the little Bobby ones you think uh you know sort of 8 oz or probably 12
Oz or something like that uh I’ve had some another like real decent one as well um I’ve had a couple on the drop literally just before it settles on the bottom but yeah it’s just nothing’s changed
I’ve not had to change anything else the bikes are still nice and lovely and slow and not really missing any um is noticeable that they definitely come to feed more so every time I catapult in uh
Sorry every time I cast in I’m giving it a little ball over the top not feeding any more corn anything like that that’s still getting fed at the same rate but it’s just been phenomenal I’ve only
Fished for probably a couple of hours and you know what I mean we had a I think we had enough for the cat shot about hour and a half ago it has been amazing folks I can’t tell you how good it is
Uh there’s odd car keeps keeps visiting every now and again but you just look at me ping it’s just a mass of bubbles there’s so many fish there um you know it’s not made a difference whether I’ve
Been you know casting a little bit further in the bubbles whether it’s been landed left right it’s just been that that same your bikes have been coming 3 to five minutes after your cast
And you’ve been getting a fish uh as I said I’ve had a had a couple on the drop as soon as it’s settled um but all in all it’s just been just been one of them lovely days that you know are quite
Rare unfortunately folks you know um normally you sort of like trying different things all the time to try and make things work I’ve literally had to change one thing today and that’s move that top number eight start to me middle number eight start and that’s it that’s all I’ve done uh I’ve
Experimented I’ve moved them all like right up above the up length but it didn’t make a blind bit of difference I’ve still seen the bites as quick um so I’ve just comeone back just so it looks a little tiny bit more natural as it’s falling in I’ll just move back to that there
We go right on Queue 3 minutes in after we casted we got another one on it’s just can’t say anything more about it folks really there’s so many fish there it’s ridiculous I thought I’d have had like a few more you know maybe foul Lookers and that just with how many there but
It just shows you the sign of how healthy and hungry the fish are that they’re just nailing your bait you know what I mean like proper Welly and everything this feels another good on this one tell them good you always keep nice and low
Oh I said it I said it ages ago I said we’ not lost one yet have we and bluming typical on camera which it always is with me folks have one fall off but it’s not bad when it’s
Your first one that’s fell opposite you know what I mean but it’s not ideal but anyway we we’re not bothered we’re not bothered with pleasure in now if that was in a match though that was a bigger fish start I would uh not be as calm as what I am so
Cast in I’m going to put some grit right over the top watch that float for because they have other few as I say on the oops he going to be keep that I add a few on the
Drop oh look at that one for you folks right on the float definitely expecting a bite on that but again I’ve not been you know uh chasing it around I’ve been putting that ground bit on the same spot
Every time once you get into that rhythm of making the same or around the same sort of like weight and size of ball and you get your marker in the distance and what you’re aiming for and the same
Catapult height you’re bringing the pouch back to the same spot every time it should theoretically go in that same area every time obviously it’ll take a bit of experimenting but the beauty of that ground bait over you know sort of like your your loose feed if you like is you’re really sort
Of zoning them fishing but the beauty of this that super Crush you’re not overfeeding them so like they sort of com to the scent there’s no real food particles in there for them other than the odd you know little bit of Micco that I’ve put in which keeps the fish grubbing but
The biggest thing that for them to eat there physically is obviously the corn and that’s why you just go a little bit uh bit more careful with the corn not sort of like Welling loads of
That in although I’m sure they’re bluming work today on here um and then the the fish pick it out even even better it’s just brilliant where of fishing not some I’ve done for ages you know but
It is so good proper proper takes me back that wind’s just starting to blow it out a little bit more now anything more then I will give that a recast but at the minute it’s probably yeah
Couple of foot away from where I first cast in at the minute but remember as I say that scattering of that cone goes over a bigger area I think that’s why well I know it’s why we’re not foul foul looking any cuz we’re obviously picking the fish off brilliant brilliant way of fish
In even the likes are you know changing float size I’m not to do anything like that the winds not really affected us to be honest uh but it’s some to yeah some there now that’s something to
To bear in mind now folks you know that wind is a problem heavy float one overcast sink your line that will make a big difference it’s actually it start to drift back the other way now into into
Where I put that ball so little fish around under the the surface and then the last time we fished we caught some real decent PS you know sort of like up to a pound and a half and that’s them
I’m sure that’s them chasing the fry but there’s definitely been some sort of skimmers and bream under the surface as well uh obviously car some around me bait now I moved a little bit then go
On come on the popadoms and always tell when you need to top up as well cuz the fish stop fizzing still odd sign I’m just going to bring that back a little bit sometimes that as well
Giving it a little bit of encouragement can uh induce a bite we’ve not had to to do that today folks but that can be something that’ll induce a bite certainly on more natural baits definitely
Not to go down the natural route either maggots worms casters I say I don’t want to get M them smallish I want to be selective come on here we go come on there’s a one there bit of encouragement
Oh no it was a bubble bubble come up I thought it was me float moving said of had it sometime where it’ll go really slow and sort of stay there as it’s drifting that tells you that uh you just
Dragging the bottom a little bit the bikes have been noticeable just nice and slow straight under it’s different when it drifts oh nearly stuck then I they definitely stuck down if it’ have
Been a little bit lower I want to make like that I want to make sure when it’s on it’s like proper on that’s why we’re fishing over dep folks he’s come right to the top him what a session I have had today what a session reverse off another decent
One think it’s wrapped itself around the line is it is it just a big I think he wrapped itself around the bloing line this one oh no it’s just a [Music] big right then folks I’m going to end it on this one how about this that’s biggest of the day and
All that yeah boy oh my days that’s getting on for four pound now let me unhook him so I reckon that was on from when he had that first little dink where he but obviously You’ got to make sure got
To make sure folks let me get him out uned and away and show you what you can expect look at that that is4 what an absolute stunner again look at its mouth look how clean the fish is these are
Like young fish folks absolute stunners they are so if you’re fancy a bit of a bit of skimmer or well they’re not skimmers they are bream folks get yourself to ba in all fishery I’ve never
Ever been anywhere like it folks but as I say if there’s nowhere you know well if this isn’t close to you then get yourself to these specimen Waters that you know they’ve got loads of carping
They see a lot of particle baits them kind of fish get left alone cuz the carpers don’t really want them so they’re just left to their own device he getting nice and confident nice and big get
Yourself on them you know similar setup to what I’ve done today ground bait and a few MOS into well the ground bait to draw fish in a few MOS to keep them grubbing but then a big standout bait
We not even tried bluming pellet today you know banded pellet had work really well I’m convinced snar up in slime folks uh banded Six mil banded 8 mil pellet you know Big Worm head something like
That like half a lob worm or qu of a lorm or somewh but by far my favorite bait is is sweet corn you know the fish absolutely love it um and yeah you see you don’t have to fish far out just
Get them get them feed in get them balls going nice and regular odd bit of corn bit of Grainer corn just to sort of keep them interested if you like but more importantly not load so they
Do pick your hookbait out and get out and give it a go folks and let us know where you get on what a place this is hope you enjoyed it I’ll catch you next time then folks what a venue

Do u mind if I ask as my old John Wilson float rod is due for an upgrade and was looking for an all round float/ pellet waggler rod can u use the pellet waggler rods for normal waggler and float lift bite for tench and margin fishing????
Korum do good all-rounder rods
Thought Andy was pissed when I watched this. (Had speed at 0.75) Works better actually 🤣
Where’s the rest of your gear??
More videos about waggler- fishing 🙏🙏🙏Absolutely brilliant method!
Andy’s enthusiasm is contagious and you can tell he just adores fishing. Top film lads thank you 👍👍
How can a skimmer be classed as 4lb/5lb, something is not right in that statement
Enjoyed the video andy,
Think we all tend to always go down the pole route,
I remember (back in day)always fishing the waggler,
It is a great way of fishing, wish I lived within a few hours of the fishery , as I love great big bream and jimmy rimmers 🤣
Think Andy is one of the best, but, if not casting far, why use a long rod ?
Would like to see more videos that aren't 2 months out of date.
great video Andy what lake was you on please
It's a Walnut Andy
What happened to the catch shot 😠😠😠 you are just a big tease😂😂😂
lovely video.
must nicer to see you when you fish alone.
i live in Dorset so knowing where these water are would very helpful
Absolutely loving waggler fishing this year. My pole is feeling neglected.
Love Andy enthusiasm.
Keep em coming.
Great info Andy
another great video. Andy's enthusiasm is infectious as ever. My only slight criticism as an instructional vid, It was shot 2 months ago and just uploaded, so I suspect this exact type of fishing will no longer be valid for most people. Be worth rewatching in 10 months time though 😇
Really enjoy watching you fish keep up the good work Andy ❤🎣 thanks everyone
Smashed it Andy !! 🎣
When adding a SSG i will put a bait band over the weight and hook through the band, saves any damage to your hook.
What a great guy Andy is, just love his enthusiasm 😃 for our sport . Top notch 🎣
Top dollar andy!😂

After suffering a stroke back in June I have not fished but watching Andy has got me wanting to get some new gear and get back out there, but the rivers are a thing of the past for me.
