I still find it insane how a phone use, can give 6pts and a larger fine, than someone jumping a red light. I mean.. The red lights are there for a purpose and if a pedestrian walks over the cross walk, they don't expect a red light breaker to just zoom by in 50 kmph
Is that was genuinely an organ donor bike you may find they get no ticket at all Mike. They need to get from A to B ASAP. That wouldn't get them out of blame for an accident caused however.

Well since motorcycles constitute about 3-5% of all traffic one can only conclude there are 95 % more dangerous car drivers, im a motorcycle rider and i certainly dont endanger myself intentionally or others, i dont need to, i have every other car driver i meet trying to do it for me, so engage your brain before slagging off every motorcycle rider in future, Thanks.
It is, of course, always possible that the brain had already been donated on an earlier occasion.
I'm always wondering about that last bit, you not knowing the outcome for sure. What is such a great benefit that it outweighs the horror of the state being able to punish citizens in secrecy? Or, somehow even more alarmingly, not punish them.

Jumping red lights seems to have become a national pastime. That's one person who might think twice in future, but not learning from experience is also de rigueur at the moment.

As a motorcyclist I really wanted to be defensive of this, I find that a lot of traffic lights are so poorly programmed, like they are there to hinder the flow of traffic rather than manage it, in my opinion there needs to be a real shake up in the logic behind traffic management especially as it is widely accepted that stopping traffic unnecessarily increases pollution. It’s so annoying to be sat at traffic lights when the other directions have no traffic or every direction is at a standstill including pedestrians.
This guy though ! There is no defence for that, the lights sensed a big gap in traffic & rightly changed.
I'm pretty sure he was doing more than 20mph.
He'd only had the bike about 2 months.
He was definitely too late to beat the light.

I see cyclists do that all the time. What are your thoughts on this Mikey? Do you believe cyclists should receive the same fine and penalty points? I have daily examples of cyclists causing danger to motorists and pedestrians going through red lights, I’m happy to supply the clips, but I’m sure you see it happen all the time anyway, you just don’t have the means to report them. Accelerating towards traffic lights, drifting into the left lane without indicating (in order to get past the car in front to beat the lights), speeding in a 20mph / built up area and intentionally running a red light late. This (IMO) is careless driving. I'm disappointed.
