Exploring the Wild Icelandic Landscape – Cycling the Epic Ring Road!

Here is the first video covering myself (@bufferboesch) and longtime friend Duffy (@duffyworsham) as we circumnavigate Iceland’s Ring Road on our bicycles.

This video covers days 5-8 of our Iceland bicycle tour.

This version of the video was shot and edited while bicycle touring Iceland. It is challenging to cycle a dozen plus hours a day and still edit our bicycle touring videos. But in our opinion, the result is a more accurate depiction of what you can expect while cycling Iceland’s Ring Road.

Unlike other videos that cover cycling the Ring Road, we are committed to actually riding every mile of the Ring Road. At no time do we accept a ride. At no time do we use support vehicles.

While the relentless Iceland wind had been a problem since the start, we are now forced to deal with freezing temperatures. We are spending much longer cycling each day then we had planned. We’re averaging 12 hours a day in the saddle. The ride is no longer a bicycle tour; it has turned into a mission. No matter what Iceland throws at us, we intend to cycle the Ring Road in its entirety.
