Welcome back YouTube. It’s Jake, after a long spiritual awakening over the Christmas break. We are back on the YouTube channel today, building another lovely, lovely time. We have got the ALP through, as in Chroma Reds, to build with some absolutely awesome super record and four ultra WTO wheels.

I’m really excited for this one though. Do come back very often. So yeah, it’s going to be fun and keep watching. If I might learn something with the data super box, them that we’re going to be fit into this. You actually only have to exit holes for fully internal rooting.

So with the DCR system, I’m pretty sure pretty much universally you can’t fit a mechanic or groupset onto the fully integrated DCR system. So we’re going to be using the little shroud cover that pushes it through. So that’s going to eliminate a couple of problems with that internal route and it’ll make it

Slightly swap out handlebars and set up stems and stuff like that. But it’s still something to keep in mind when you’re doing this sort of thing. right. So now it is time for everyone’s favorite time of the video, which is installing the bottom bracket.

Now, obviously, with the time frames, everything is as it should be, 46 millimeters. And for installing a compact bottom bracket, we have to use this specific seven, six, four nine activator and six three loctite retaining compound. This is to keep it all stuck and glued together and not going anywhere.

With these bolt and brackets, there’s nothing I have to worry about taking them out because the the bearings are actually attached to the cranks rather than the bottom bracket, which is obviously a compact quirk, But yeah, so with this is going to be going in and never, ever coming back out. Right now

Comes time to install these lovely, lovely super record cranes. Now they are a little bit different to what you might be used to from SRAM and Shimano, and I don’t do a whole lot of builds, so I have been thoroughly checking the technical documents

I got printed out behind me and yeah, it’s fairly easy. They’ve just got this split crank design with a hell of a load of spines in the middle, which all tightens up. So the bearings are actually attached to the crank. So we need to make sure getting it all seated, right, grease,

All that sort stuff and talking them up properly now. Obviously, things to be aware of as we’re fitting these. Now the first thing is actually getting them aligned. There’s a lot more spines on these and there is on a SRAM or Shimano crank. So when you’re putting them together,

It’s quite easy to actually have the misaligned by a degree or two because there’s so many engagements they can fit in on as well. The little bolt that connects them all together that is threaded counterclockwise. So make sure you’re doing that right.

You need a dual direction torque wrench so you can tighten it up properly because yeah, you don’t believe in these sorts of things loose or anything like that. Now, last thing we do before we get this bike out the stand is to fit the chain.

Now we have to do some specific sizing on this compact, narrow chain. Pretty similar to how you do with the new SRAM and Shimano 12 speed stuff whereby we’re going to link it round the hardest gear at the front and the easiest gear at the back to the two biggest sprocket and overlap

Three linked to the chain and put a quick link in. This is easier and more functional than the old kind of split pin style of fitting chains. means easy to repair, easier to take off all that sort of stuff. And

So get the chain size right all the cables up and we’ll be ready to rumble. Product of our beautiful, beautiful time up to, as in Chrome, a red with the super echo groups. That’s been a pretty hurried couple of hours to get it done for this customer.

But yeah, I’ll just run through the component choices quickly. So first and foremost on the wheels, we have got the absolutely stunning Campagnolo bora ultra top ito 60 millimeter disc brake rolls off the top. They’re actually really, really light and the whole build weight comes in

At 7.8 kilos, which is in fact lighter than my rim brake. SL six, beautiful. Four. Yeah. So these are absolutely stunning. Power wheels set up on the Pirelli P zero race, 28 millimeters, which is the widest you can fit or quoted fit in the time out to us. Right fit.

That was some TP jeeps to save the weight on that they are again the Pirelli one so matching the tires coming up top to the cockpit. We have got the data super box stamp and the super zero aluminum handlebars and that’s what, a bit of extra stiffness. And now obviously six box.

Then we couldn’t go fully into all of this because of the mechanical super record Groupset, which is really, really stunning and absolute joy to work on at times and some lovely bird. But with the contoured pattern, we’ve obviously got a safe box

Stand out on there for the garment and obviously lights as well. So nice and integrate it, save any clutter in space. Looks pretty nice in my opinion. Down to the crater of see that lovely molded carbon super record strikes with Titanium axle. These things weigh absolutely nothing and split

In the middle as per campagnolo That’s with a standard campagnolo bottom bracket 25 millimeters bearings inside a 46 millimeter holes. You got a lovely wide platform there for the bearing. So they’re not going to wear out any time soon. We’ve got the data Super zero Carbon Seatpost saving a bit of weight

And obviously looking rather lovely. We’ve got eight Prolog dimension and the one for three saddled and again personal choice. This is a really lovely thing. It’s got a nice little red label. A tie rocks to the frame and the red accents of the tick record.

Groupset gear ratios wise, we have got a 5236 on the front and another 34 I believe, on the back. So that’s making it nice and easy for climbing and all that sort of stuff. This thing to be going fast, it’s a serious, serious gear ratio and yet hundred and 60 build this back.

Let me know what you think of the choices in the comments below. I think there’s a really, really lovely Bell’s idea place to work out. I can’t wait to get out there and get it right it. So yeah, let us know what you think in the comments

And thanks for watching and see the next poll.

    1. Now this is the kind of build I've been waiting to see on this channel.
You didn't mention the deep drop bar!! So few of us use this type of bar anymore.
I have over ten Italian road bikes. All are with Campagnolo.
The only thing that could have made this build better is if the frame could accept the modern duel mount rim brakes.

    2. Amazing build! Finally someone who sizes the chain the right way. I see so many people with short chains because they do the small-small method when sizing it. Great job!

    3. The only problem with fitting Campagnolo mechanical on fully internally routed cockpits & frames is there is no barrel adjuster for the front mech to deal with the inevitable cable stretch. Shimano at least has an adjustment on the front derailleur itself.

    4. 3:54 man, what a drag on new crankset. I thought it must have been some alignment issue on my Chorus crank set, but obviously this is natural for Campag. Never experienced it with any of my sram/shimano equipped bicycles. The design is just over engineered, agree with Hambini completely on this topic…
