Well hello and welcome back to the channel so today we have been delivered an ebike to review um from enu it’s a foldable ebike 4in fat tires and it is UK road legal 250 wats so um let’s see what’s inside the Box plenty of packaging no doubt and uh see if we can

Get it out who watch out for them but right plenty of phone Packaging as you would expect so we can get all that out now I got to try and lift this out you’ve got a bad back so would you like my help no I’ll be fine I might need you to just

Take the box so it has got a bit of weight to it but it’s not too bad actually so um right I’m going to get rid of that box and we’ll get back to and start snipping some of this packaging off eh so the first thing I’m looking for is the

Instructions now there’s this box here so quite possibly inside there looks like it you got your pedals a little set of tools I think have a look okay spanners and Allan Keys it’s probably everything you need then for um for the bike build itself so I’ll put them to one side for

Now see what’s in this box okay that’s the charger so that can go to one side hopefully won’t be needing that just yet okay right pedals can go there right I’m going to start snipping some packaging off and then uh we get back to you as soon as I Can right so that’s all the packaging off and to be honest there’s quite a bit of packaging um like I say it ain’t a bad thing because it does protect the bike but I’ve got the instructions down here um so we’re going to have to start

Building it now I think what we do first is try and build the handlebar section to then get the wheel one so I believe that fits in there now that’s a lock for it to unfold which I will show you later and then somehow okay so it may be a case of

Right that goes in like so however you need to get that in the right position just put that there so that goes there that locks in position okay so I’ve lifted that up quite High high so I can get this on so so is just about getting in its rough position for

Now handlebars are on so you got the monitor screen I’m just going to pull that up for now and then lower andle balls down a little bit so I’m tightening the wheel up now I’m doing the wheel first it just seems easier than putting the mud guard

On I can flip it back the other way size of them tires anyway let’s see if it’s got a stand it has so let’s put the stand on then let’s try and fit this mud guard wow size of them tires are massive that’s a beast of a

Bike so this is to get the mud guard and the light on so far so good only had a couple of problems handlebars the wrong way around to start with and uh you know look like that but we’re getting there I just put this on loosely Decent size mud guard actually now I need a little spanner that one there a Bo and I can tighten this so make sure there’s enough clearance for your tire let’s put the uh the seat on nice comfy seat actually looks comfy even got a spring so this should be simple enough there we

Go right so far so good pedals pedals are the simple part I should have a left and right so we found the left and right that’s left that’s got an R that’s right so left side I only need nipping up really so he’s done a good job there AR of

Building that it’s a lot quicker than I would I don’t know about that so the reason that we got this bike is because we we like to walk everywhere as you know and we go out in a at home sometimes it’s a little bit remote um we

Could just do with some transport to get to a shop um eventually we’ll look at getting another one so we can actually go out on proper bike rides together but this is going to be really handy for us just for them time s where we need just

To pop out for something when we’re aw just up the road and especially for Europe as well um so this is why this is going to change our Lives having having this bike so um yeah we’re quite excited about it but we’re on our way to Wales

Now and we’re going to demonstrate for you how this folds up get it in the motor home and more than anything we’re going to show you how it rides when we all the features so um let’s let’s go let’s go one thing we we have to do

Before we go anywhere is make sure it’s charged so we got it on charged just plugged into the wall over there with its charging block and I guess that just goes green when it’s charged right then before we uh before we show you how it rides and all the

Features I got to get it in the boot so the size of the boot well it’s a swift contiki 794 so 2022 plate um you can Google that and find out the size of the door open in cuz I ain’t got it at the top of my head the bike weighs around 39

Kilos so it is quite heavy so I don’t want to put it on a bike rack even though one bike probably would go on there I’ll probably stick it on uh in the boot and maybe if we get two I’ll probably get a a toe bar and get a bike

Rack for the toe bar so let’s collapse it first then so there’s only a few features to claps so you can claps the pedals so you just push the pedals in and then they spin up um you can go all the way back or give a flat surface which will probably be all

I need same with the other pedal there and then it’s the handle bars so it’s just got a little toggle here just lift that toggle up and drop that then the handle bars will just fall to the side and then the same with the center piece if needed you can take the seat

Out that’s quite easy just to uncp that and take the seat out which actually I might do just to keep it out the way way we’ll get rid of that first okay so same again just pull that and then pop it open and that you’ll be able

To then claps that in half lift the forks and the rear there you go it has got um like a bar at the bottom here um just so you don’t damage anything now what we n kilos it’s a case of getting it in the boot without damaging the

Motor you can lift the bed up in um these motor homes but because we want to keep it in the back we trying to get in oh it’s in it’s in I have got ratchet strapped so I will probably strap it down um I just want to protect the

Radiator at the back so but it folds up to a decent size it is quite heavy like I say 39 Kos so you’ve got to take that interior allowance obviously for your payload depending what van you’ve got yeah take it into that allowance but um yeah it folds up reasonably a good size

So happy with that right let’s get there and take it for for a spin right before we take this for a ride always safety first so I’ve got a helmet out in my garage um right just some of the features on this bike it’s got a massive

Screen um and when I turn it on that all lights up LED um Shimano gears seven speed gears um it does fold down which is great and I love the feature it’s got this which is a a good idea you can buy a bag for it I believe it holds up to 25

Kilos so if you were just popping out to get a bit of shopping you can stick a bag on there um lovely idea with the bike stand and it has got rear suspension and front suspension at the same time so I’ve never ridden a bike with rear

Suspension so I can imagine it’ be quite a comfortable ride along with that you have got disc brakes um and 4in fat tires so the fat tires on it massive and good for a bit of off-roading or something like that but just look at the size of them tires

There all the lights are integrated so it’s got a a brake light when you pull either the front or rear brake um that lights up um but we’re going to take that for a spin I just love the way it folds and um fits down as small as it can obviously

Being a quite a bulky bike into the boot look at him been safety conscious yeah helmet’s on right it does come with two keys the keys are just located underneath here um you do have to put it in and turn it clockwise I believe yeah full turn clockwise and

Then on the LCD screen it is literally just pushing a button on the plus or minus just to the side there push that button and there you go so it’s in kilometers an hour got a fully charged battery we take that key out though oh

No you got to keep the key in yeah you got to keep the key in I was wondering why you were taking it out you don’t know until you try it’s a safety feature so can’t Nick it that’s all right let’s turn it on again then here we go

Right you can turn your lights on um by these side buttons there we go front and rear and look if I push the breake it actually gives you a breake right it gives you a break like we did actually the first time when when you built it we went out onto the street

Didn’t we yeah and uh it was quite dark then and it’s it’s the lights are really good aren’t they yeah I got the in the right position it’s not like I’m going to keep up we is it he’ll be out a shot of the camera in a minute

I we had that on power two put it on power five it gives it some Woohoo well so far so good like I said I’m only on level two I will take it to level five and wow that’s got some power in that um hopefully you can hear me with the wind but um yeah what a lovely bike 25 points 26 25 km an hour absolutely no trouble at all and um yeah very nice very nice ride very smooth with the rear suspension it’s um it’s lovely I’m just going to spin it around with the assist so I’m doing this with one hand I

Am on a a coastal track so not a main road or anything like that um but absolutely love the ride yeah happy with this this be no end of help now just to get out and about and um get some food or shopping or anything

Like that that if you’re in a bit more of a remote area um even just to get around a campsite I’m going to lower that speed I put it on one so with the uh the distance or the range of the bike they say in 100

Km um but it does depend on the weight obviously on the bike it also depends on the terrain so if you’re using it to power assist you uphills more then obviously it’s going to drain the battery more but I suppose if you look it on on average it’s going to be around 100

Km something like that so you know it’s got a big range for an ebike usually around 60k so it’s it’s ideal but absolutely love the bike you get them in a range of colors as well so we’ve been sent white um but you have got darker color and red I believe black and

Red but nice big screen so one thing I do like about this bike is the seat and it is really comfy it’s wide um so it makes for a good ride so I’ve been through a big puddle and the mud mud guards on it do their job so they’re quite good have

To get rid of that rattling though um that’s probably more my side on the build rather than the bike itself but uh yeah I gone for a puddle and didn’t get sprayed with mud so they work wonders right a little bit more rougher terrain and it still rides absolutely

Lovely it’s just the tires the suspension it helps it massively so at the moment I really do rate this bike um it’s not the first ebike I’ve ridden so I have got some things to compare it to but I do absolutely love this just the way it falls down it feels solid

It’s a good good bike and it’s a good bike for the price you know the price is £ 1,049 I think so that’s a good price um yeah you can get a discount on this bike with100 off just following the link in the description all the links will be

In the description for the bike for the company so just go down there and have a little look proper off-road in now look at [Applause] this but it it handles it lovely view I could get used to This good ride right yeah how are you finding it overall then love it yeah it’s um definitely something that um we should have invested in sooner it’s a bit of a life changer for us isn’t it definitely a life changer yeah that’s good but you like your um you’ve got

Different Fitness that you do anyway this obviously keeps you fit but obviously it’s assisted but you know you’ve got different Fitness if you want it works as a normal bike if you as a nor but you do Fitness you want that for leisure don’t you yeah so that’s the

Thing so yeah I can come with you running now cuz I’ll be on the Ebik oh

    1. I have one in white with a lot of mods done to it. Dual batteries, balancer kit, 203mm front disc. Some cheap rear pannier bags with the second battery on top. See my short clip. The other short is of my engine x with the topeak bag which I have since removed to have my custom setup. Some things to be aware of is the rear suspension. I had to buy 2 86mm axle bolts as the factory ones were too short not allowing the suspension to move freely. Be aware of the headset bearings as they may need re-greasing or replacing. My steering makes a gritty noise when you turn. As you may know already the front brake is on the left but you can swap them round. On some bikes the peddle assist and throttle can stop working but the display remains on. Switching off and on again cures it. Do check the motor cable on the rear frame and make sure the plug is nice and tight. Also when charging the battery it's worth getting a mechanical or digital timer to switch the power off. I have mine set at about 7 hours as its a 13ah battery. The frame has been known to snap though this is rare. They've sold thousands. A point to note is it may be marketed as a 250watt ebike but if you do the maths you'll realise it's a lot more powerful. 48v x 18amp Controller = 864 Watts peak power. Its a great bike on the whole and it goes really well. I'm a heavy guy with a lot of kit on board and it shifts me along with no effort on my part.
