Bicycle Touring Spain Day 3 – Cycling the Riells del Fai Valley
Woke up with a breathtaking view over the Riells del Fai Valley north of Barcelona. Wen’t on a detour and had to push the bike over a hill with horrendous road conditions. Ended the day wild camping at above 1000 meters with a magnificent sunset.
We get to see the realities of touring… scratched legs, soaking wet undies, food stuck in the helmet! And your Garmin keeps track of farts? Mine would not say medium, it would be off the scale! It is shocking to see food in the tent, my last tours were in grizzly country, but I guess they have killed most of the bears in Spain. Very nice video! You show it like it is. And it looks like finding your own route in Spain is problematic, and adds to the adventure. I have tried to use Google to create routes in Europe, "Sorry, no info on that area" or something like that. But Google lies to you about the US, it makes routes for me that do not exist and I have to check really well. I used to use the paper gas station maps, because I had a road bike with skinny tires, but nowadays there are better tires and you can go anywhere!
Hi Mikael. I've enjoyed your journey so far on this trip through Spain and I'm watching the Swedish Lapland adventure too. Great filming and commentary.
