So this style it’s called the Tokyo it’s named after the city um yakai is a company out of Denmark and they were inspired by all sorts of cities with wonderful biking culture let me adjust my camera bit so you can see what I’m doing yeah there we go so they um they
Inspired by cities with great biking culture great Transportation culture so this one is the Tokyo and then they this hat style is called the Tokyo and then the material they call it pink Jazz um and it is a really beautiful vibrant Tweed fabric it’s very thick it’s quite wintry like a wintry
Feeling famously in Denmark they bike all year round even in Winter they have a practice called biking biking I’m really wrestling this cover on oh there we go okay so the key with installing yakai covers is you have to get this elastic cuff here to overlap
The edge of the helmet like that and this is how they stay on my job now is to get this get this elastic cuff to emerge from in between the helmet and the cover sliding there we go sliding it out press down okay work the way around okay
This is like I said it’s a thick material it’s got a lot of body I think it’s um mostly acrylic fiber just get these beautiful vibrant colors with some wool mixed in it’s hand washable okay so I have the helmet cover installed with the cuff going around
Completely I’m going to take a look at it like this I’m just gripping that inside here where the vents are there are six vents on these helmets and kind of using that to hold it and then I’m tugging the brim in place and I can see it’s been in storage
For a while it’s a little bit wavy so I’m going to use my favorite tool which is steamer steam these edges if I can get a little a bit more shape I love my steamer so what I’m doing is I’m just getting I’m steaming one edge of the fabric
Here and then I’m going to use my hands to hold it in place as it cools and I’ll just feel it becoming cooler and cooler and it’s the process of going from hot to cool is what sets the fabric in um the right position
So I just want to hold it for a bit here we go so that’s you can see here this is the side that I have steamed and this is the side that has not yet been steamed and this is such a gorgeous fabric it’s so pretty it’s almost rainbow like the
Predominant color so it’s black it’s like a black ground and then there’s hot pink there’s a coral pink and there’s like an orangish red and a bit of a purple but then also if you look really closely you’ll see a littleit of yellow some orange um some perwinkle blue and green and

This is an extra large helmet because this was the only size of this cover that I had in my office okay I’m opening it up here the little tag where it says XL matching it to the XL helmet you don’t need to keep these tags on when
You’re when you’ve decided to keep your helmet but I have them on for easy reference and then got my helmet on got a buckled and I’m just using it as like using my head as a helmet holder so I can use my hands to start working one Edge one edge of the elastic

Just this helmet cover and we’ve gotten it to fit on the th000 helmets and to stay on while they are biking they have to do the same trick I showed you of getting that elastic cuff to cover as much of the room as possible thousand helmets of course they have that built-in
Brim so you can’t put the cover on that can put the cover around the brain you have to kind of like leave it untucked there we go okay so I got that final bit of cuff untucked I’m just GNA grasp the hband with my fingernails and push against the helmet cover get

Made of thinner material like the um the Black Rain style and there’s like one called Paris oil skin those are a little bit easier to put on okay so this is the Rose it’s a rose Tweed you can take a look it’s got this beautiful soft gray
