Hey guys, it’s me Aego here, Hi Hello Today I’m going to talk about a skin care method called skin cycling that I recently discovered! It seems like it was only yesterday that I learned about skip care, a method of reducing skin care steps, and yet another new method was born.

So from now on, I’ll tell you what the skin care method called skin cycling is and what products you should use, so stay tuned 😉 Skin cycling is a strategic skin care routine that alternates skin improvement and recovery to maximize the effects of active ingredients while protecting the skin from irritation.

This is a method devised by American dermatologist Whitney Bowe, which is a skincare routine that means intentionally using specific active ingredients for two days for a full four-day cycle, then rotating your skincare routine every night for the next two days to allow your skin to recover.

Have you ever tried working out such weightlifting or doing Pilates? When doing strength training, you separate exercise days and recovery days. Right? I think everyone who has worked out will agree with the fact that exercise is more effective when exercise and rest are done in parallel.

Skin cycling can also be thought of as a method of intensively using the active ingredients needed for the skin by using it reliably, giving it a rest, and not applying the active ingredients every day like this.

The key to your skin care routine is which active ingredients you use to suit your skin condition and skin concerns. For skin cycling, you need three products: a chemical exfoliant, a retinoid, and a moisturizing cream.

The products I will use for skin cycling are The Ordinary’s Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution, IOPE Super Bounce Retinol Serum, and IOPE Stem 3 Cream. The first day is a day to prepare your skin to properly absorb the active ingredients the next day by removing dead skin cells after using the cleanser.

If dead skin cells do not fall off in a timely manner and accumulate excessively, the skin cannot properly take in any product no matter how good the product you apply on is,

So this is the day to gently remove dead skin cells to ensure that the active ingredients will be fully applied to the skin. If possible, we recommend using a chemical exfoliant rather than a physical exfoliant and I recommend that you select and use products with ingredients according to your skin condition.

If you have oily or acne-prone skin, I recommend products containing BHA ingredients, and if you have dry and sensitive skin, I recommend products containing PHA ingredients. If you want to use it comfortably regardless of your skin type, I recommend products containing AHA ingredients.

After exfoliating, the skin can easily dry out and become sensitive, so I recommend using a moisturizing cream. In particular, after chemical exfoliation, I recommend using a hydrophilic moisturizing cream with an emphasis on barrier recovery. Moisturizing creams containing occlusive ingredients such as coconut oil and shea butter

Can enhance the penetration of acids remaining on the skin surface and cause other irritations, so be sure to apply a hydrophilic moisturizing cream well to keep the skin moisturized and end day 1 by making your skin clean and free of lice. On the second day, I used retinol serum after using the cleanser.

It is good to use products containing other highly effective ingredients, but retinol is recommended in the existing skin cycling routine, perhaps because they believe that retinol helps with all-round care. Retinoid is an ingredient derived from vitamin A that not only increases the turnover rate of epidermal cells,

But also induces the biosynthesis of dermal collagen fibers, solving complex concerns such as dryness, acne, wrinkles, and elasticity. As I mentioned before when introducing retinol products, retinol products may cause irritation when first used

So if you have never used retinol products before, I think it would be a good idea to use IOPE’s Retinol Serum that I am showing you today. It is a product that is better for daily use than existing retinol products and has fewer side effects from retinol.

If you have no experience using retinol, apply a serum or cream to act as a buffer before using retinol and then use the retinol. If you have experience using retinol like me, apply the retinol product on right after washing your face.

If you feel any dryness, it is a good idea to lightly finish with cream. This concludes the skin care of the second day. The third day is recovery day. On recovery days, after using a cleanser, I recommend using a hydrophilic serum such as glycerin, hyaluronic acid, or panthenol,

Which attracts moisture and supplies moisture to the stratum corneum. Next, finish by applying a moisturizing cream containing ingredients that strengthen the lipid structure of the skin barrier, such as ceramide and filaggrin, and microbiome ingredients that correct the healthy balance of the microbial environment. Another method is to reapply face oil or balm.

As on the third day after using the cleanser, use a product that forms a moisturizing barrier, such as a hydrophilic serum and cream or serum and face oil, and give it a rest. Skin care on days 3 and 4 is a recovery period,

So it is okay to use the same skin care on both days. If you did not feel that skin cycling was putting too much strain on your skin while doing skin cycling, it would be okay to repeat the skin cycling method previously used for 2 weeks

And if there were no abnormal signs, you could shorten the skin recovery days. In fact, after both Heiley and I got used to the skincare routine, it was okay to increase the retinol day to two days and shorten the recovery day to one day.

As my skin felt smoother, it seemed to help with wrinkle care, which is one of the special benefits of retinol. Now that it’s time to take care of my skin, I’m interested in wrinkle care, and it’s really helpful for not only wrinkle care but also pore care.

After going through a few cycles, I felt like I was creating my own cycle. As a result of conducting skin cycling, it seems that the cycling cycle is different for each individual,

So I thought it would be a good idea to try a 5-day cycle for the first time and, if it suits you, find your own skin cycling cycle. Lastly, I would like to finish the video by recommending the products I used during skin cycling.

If you are curious about the products I used, please watch the video til the end. The Ordinary’s Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution. This is a high-strength AHA exfoliating toner that cares for skin tone, texture, and signs of aging, effectively managing impurities and dead skin cells accumulated on the skin surface.

It is a non-comedogenic product that does not clog pores and has a pH concentration of about 3.6 which has advantages such as exfoliation, brightening, and even skin tone care but because it is a high-strength AHA exfoliation product, this product is not recommended for sensitive or damaged skin.

This product is recommended if you have normal skin and not sensitive skin so if you feel uncomfortable using this product, you can proceed with chemical exfoliation with an enzyme cleanser. IOPE Super Bounce Serum. This is a retinol serum that I’ve been using very well on a daily basis these days.

It is said to be a serum that builds density and elasticity from the inside through dense quadruple elasticity layering and helps improve signs of skin aging. It is also said to contain lacto-exosomes and phyto-EGF, which strengthen the skin barrier and supply nutrients to help maintain the built-up density and elasticity.

Usually, when using retinol products for the first time, you may experience various side effects such as exfoliation, skin redness, and itchiness. However, this product is designed to minimize these side effects and ensure effective results. Since it is a retinol product, there may be minor side effects such as exfoliation.

But, as it is a product with a mild feeling that is good for daily use, it is also a product that can be used comfortably by those who have already experienced retinol or are new to retinol.

And I brought this as a recommended item since it is a product that can be used continuously after skin cycling. IOPE Stem3 Cream. This is said to be a *daily damage care cream that restores the skin’s condition by adding soothing ingredients to the key effective ingredient Allanto-Liposome™.

It contains Allanto Complex™, a core ingredient developed independently containing allantoin, allium cepa, and peptides, and is said to help soothe, moisturize, and improve elasticity. In fact, this is a cream that I used before while doing skin cycling, and it had a good firmness, softness, and soothing effect after use.

If you use all of IOPE’s Stem 3 lines, you can get the effect of making your skin look like you’ve got a good night’s sleep. In particular, it is one of the creams that must be applied during seasonal changes like these days,

And as mentioned earlier, it is a cream that has the function of restoring skin condition, so I recommend it since I think it is best suited for skin cycling. You can use other moisturizing creams, but personally, I would like to recommend that you try them.

Lastly, for foam cleanser, you can use the product you normally use. If the foam cleanser you are currently using contains ingredients such as AHA, BHA, or contains scrub granules that may cause even minor irritation to the skin,

I would like to recommend using a cleanser with a moisturizing and mild foam during skin cycling. Since this is a process of finding your skin’s cycle, I recommend using a gentle cleanser that does not put a burden on your skin as much as possible.

It may seem a little out of fashion, but I introduced you the skin cycling method that gave me Dewy Skin and the products that go well with skin cycling. Even if it’s not the products I introduced, it’s a good skin care routine to try with other products,

So if your skin seems particularly unwell and dull these days, try skin cycling. I cautiously believe that you will be able to feel quite an amazing change in your skin. The skin cycling cycle I mentioned today may vary from person to person,

So proceed as I mentioned at first and it is also good to continue to find your own skin cycling cycle. After two weeks of treatment, I found that a 5-day cycle was more appropriate than a 4-day cycle.

Additionally, if you have difficulty purchasing the recommended products when doing skin cycling, just remember the 4 steps. Mild cleanser, chemical exfoliator, high-effective serum or ampoule, and hydrophilic cream! I hope you all see the effects of skin cycling.
