Today we are in Nogentais and the Seine Valley in the North-West of Aube, just 1 hour from Paris by train, this territory has many assets. Between bucolic walks and heritage, there are many activities to discover for nature lovers!
On foot, by bike or by paddle, the Seine will guide our steps throughout this walk. We will be accompanied by our enthusiasts of this territory. Come on! Let’s go ! Our walk begins on the Seine in the heart of this valley and you, Emmanuel, know the Seine well! What do you like here?
Well, I am from the region itself, from… from the Seine Valley mainly from La Villeneuve-au-Châtelot from a region that we still call today here “Bassée”. The “Bassée” is a part quite upstream of the Seine, upstream of Nogent-sur-Seine one might say, from Romilly-sur-Seine and that up to the beginning of the Seine et Marne.
So it’s a fairly wild area, in any case in this region between Romilly and Nogent-sur-Seine the valley has remained very wild here. And so I am “very attached” to its places since my ancestors themselves lived here. It’s true that you often come to sail on the Seine, even alone, even without fishing.
Without fishing, without walking anyone actually, for me it’s really a code of life, in a way it’s a need even there is this way of experiencing the Seine on a boat but you can also experience it otherwise. What are the activities to do here?
