Back in 2015, (4 years ago) when I was 16 years old, was the first bike tour I did, from the east coast of England to the west coast of Wales. In this video, I talk about the stories that changed and shaped my life, how that kickstarted a lot of my adventures and advice for touring in the UK as well.

This video is in more of a podcast format, I wanted to share these stories and will be working on producing and finishing the New Zealand Tour as well, with tons of action footage compared to my early tours.

Hey hey… what about tow paths along the canals… are they useful?
Thanks! inspiring 👍😊
Thanks for all the information! Nice video. If you don't already now it, warmshowers.org is a really nice community for bike traveling like couchsurfing, but especially for bike traveling. 🙂
Just saying the millennials want more experiences don't make them any less capitalistic, if these experiences are based on traveling/holidays, which also can cost a lot of money and is only available for the people that have the money. If you look at all the people on Instagram who are sharing their "experiences" with nice images, then I would say this is capitalism at its finest.
That's why I like your channel, because you are doing it really because of the experience, and not because you think having experiences is now the thing to show how cool and rich you are.
Thanks for this. I grew up in England. Dad was stationed at RAF Bentwaters/Woodbridge in the early 80s, then Upper Heyford near Oxford in the late 80s. I miss it a lot. Love reminiscing.
united kingdom is very beautiful
I tried to learn as much as possible how to fix stuff on my bike myself. A good way to get into bicycle touring is to make short tours. So I found out what's necessary or not to have with me on longer tours. Anyway, thanks for sharing
£250 for a month of budget bike touring is actually pretty a lot, speaking from my experience… Otherwise, nice good travels👏
Be prepared for wind and rain and you’ll be fine. The National parks are great, cities have busy roads and drivers not always pro cyclists. Bristol is a great cycling city. Cotswolds have amazing quiet country lanes on good quality roads but can be expensive.Gravel riding is becoming a big thing in the UK so check out bridle ways and canal paths to stay off busy roads. April to Sept/Oct best season. 😀
Nice video. The best part about bicycle touring is that it is something you can do your entire life. The world is big, get out and explore! Cheers.
Definitely free Scotland.
You rode through my town of Farnborough , just south of High Wycombe! 😁 Im planning my trip around Britain, gonna do the costal route in April.
Great inspiration!!! Now February 2021, this summer will be no holidays abroad as government warned, I’m planning my bike touring around uk, starting from Sheerness, if anyone wants to join me, please message me so we can have a chat. Best wishes to you all.
Well done lad. I did my first bike touring trip in 1973. I was 12! Just picked it up again after 40 years, here in Thailand, and loving it. You're the future of bicycle touring and it looks like it's in safe hands. JP The old guy.
Forgot to say that Kings Lynn Youth Hostel was the very first place I stayed on my very first tour. I was with my Mum and will never forget it.
Can you recommend a good bike for cycling in the UK?
