This might be the most insane race bike I’ve ever seen. And probably the most expensive as well. It’s a Trek Madone SLR that was actually raced in the Tour de France by former World Champion Mads Pedersen and on which he won stage 8. In this video we weigh and measure it, listen to the freehub and go through all the quirky and cool features on it. And price it up as well if you wanted to buy it, which you unbelievably can.

Way the bike looks and it has to be the coolest paint job I’ve ever seen in all my years of cycling it looks fantastic and in the Sun at different angles it really really shines and really pops and I’d happy ride a bike and own a bike
With this paint job so underneath the paint is the new TR Mone SLR which I reviewed earlier this year and a very striking bike indeed all the arrow profiles a super narrow head tube and of course the Isis flow the hole in the seat tube claimed to improve the a
Performance of this new bike you can tell this is a Pro Race Bike by the size of the chaming it’s absolutely massive a gigantic 56 to combined with a smaller 43 inner chain ring and that massive chain ring in combination with a 10 to out back here gives a absolutely
Mind-blowing amount of speed when you rewind that gear up no wonder he won stage eight of this year’s taller France apart from that it’s a regular stram red EAP axer group set 1033 Outback flat top chain a 160 rotor up front and a smaller 140 on the back now stram bikes normally
Have 160 front and rear but here we have a smaller rear rotor presumably for weight saving nothing on the batteries hold them on which we often see on Pro race bikes and because this is bike number three of the three he had at the race we have a regular chain and
Cassette where some of the bikes he had featured a gold chain and a gold cassette which is something suram does for pro riders you can’t buy that it’s a PR level specification the Rolling Stock on this bike is a pair of Bond Trager airless RSL 62 Wheels a nice deep
Profile wide as well and these are pelli P0 race Clincher tires with smart inner tubes installed the team actually used a combination of clinchers which we have here tubis and very occasionally tubas but most of the time they are using clinchers with inner tubes or tubis depending on the racing they are doing
These by the way are a 28 M Wide Tire which in line with the tires that most of of us are now running even the pros are using wide tires because they believe the benefits of the Rolling resistance and attraction the wild Tire offers right time to measure the bike so
This is a size 58 and apparently mad Pon according to Wikipedia is 5′ 10 in which is a bit shorter than me and I normally run a size 56 so I’m not sure why he’s on a bigger frame maybe he has long legs well let’s find out so from the center
Of the crank up to the top of the saddle we have a measurement of 81 CM so clearly he has long legs and I can see from the cranks that he’s running 172.5 mm crank arms which is very very standard a really striking feature on this bike are the handlebars a one piece
Carbon Bar and stem they look really narrow so let’s get the tape measure on them and see what they actually are and Center Center very very narrow and the hoods as you can see are angled over as all the pros like to do to gain a few more watts
Of AOS saving we also have a long stem as well and that with a tape measure on I make it depending on where you call a center of this sweat back hanar 140 mm so a 14 cm stem and of course the hanle bars are slammed for maximum Arrow no spaces here
To speak off at all so very low and very aggressive and my back hurts just looking at the setup on this bike and how much would a bike like this cost well one of the beauties of cycling you can actually buy the same bikes the pros race so take the stock bike costing
£14,500 and add this amazing paint finish through project one for an optional extra £ 3,850 and then add some pedals a computer and Bott cages and you’re looking at £20,000 or if if you’re a pro it’s free before we find out how much this lovely bite weighs a few other details
That stand out he’s using a KH Mount set up for a wahoo bike computer his saddle of choice is a bond trigger verse Pro and the bottle cages have small tabs for extra secure bottle retention right let’s see what the bike actually weighs got my scales here I reset
Them it’s quite windy with which won’t help up we go and that is 7.35 kg for a size 58 with a sham red EAP access group set no pedals or computer but two bottle CES fitted so a long way from the U weight limit of 6.8
Kilos what do you think let me know by leaving a comment down below right for the final inspection of this lovely Pro Race Bike let’s hear the free Hub so let give the cranks a good old spin yeah that really really noisy what do you think let me know by leaving a
Comment down below yes or No oh brakes are back to front on they course so what do you think of this stunning TR Mone SLR Pro race bike let me know by leaving a comment down below and a reminder if you want to see the bike in the flesh for yourself then head
To the rouer live website link down below and enjoy a 10% discount and get yourself a ticket and I’ll see you there next month can’t wait should be a lot of fun right thank you so much for watching I’ll see you again hopefully somewhere a bit less windy very soon

Might look better in Space
The Trek Madone is a very poorly designed bike. If you buy it you have to cut your seat post to fit. To say the hole is “more aero” is beyond stupid because there is no aero benefit at that point of the bike. Your body has the biggest effect on the drag especially at the seat post!
just send it to me – namesticker allready matches 😉 D*MN it looks good!
the size makes no sense for his hight.
4:25 when that bike starts to lean and you reach to grab it 😂. Very nice ride, thanks for giving us a thorough tour of it!
What Paint! What bling!
That bike show looks great… would love to go but I'm 3,255 miles away!
Utterly ridiculous 7.35kg I own the exact bike it’s 8.03kg, heavy clunkers these days I’m an ex pro team mech, I build top bikes for under 2k and we or I will challenge you to a weight or road test you’ll be staggered
the bike doesnt even look real when your crouching next to it looks like AI
That is a work of art!!
Ridiculous frame shape… seriously if that is the future, not for me.
Never been a fan of aero bikes but that paint is "sick" as the young people say.
Just put on a traditional seat tube and I might consider getting one.
The Best Looking Race Bike Ever?!
Err no!!! paint job is nice that's about it.
S Works Roubaix in Green Pearl is pretty special too.
Awesome paint job and decent weight for a large aero frame but I don't like this bike. Isoflow is a gimmick and looks ugly. Trek does kind of thing a lot like bikes with bowed top tubes and unnecessary suspension features.
Best looking? Just over rated.

Killer paint, but still no old Italian styled paint jobs or OG Klein paint schemes. Did they run out of ideas? Sure looks like it. I’ll buy a Time bike over this any day.
2 lbs heavier than an S-Works Tarmac. Cool bike but super heavy with very limited tire clearance and a seatpost design that is very prone to failure.
No it's looks 💩
I really like your channel Arthur. Thank you for all your great content. In my opinion this is the WORST looking bike ever !
No. It looks quite awful actually.
Nope.
I struggle to believe he’s 5’10” with a saddle height that big!
Amazing pro bike, thanks for sharing. …But how many pro sprinters in the world would actually ride this bike? 10? 20? And they are paid to ride it. So why is it even for sale? $$$. …Anyone who buys this bike is a poseur.
NO, my Colnago C50 with Mapei air brushed paint is. Never seen any bike look better.
Titanium is now a carbon. 😅
Lovely bike and spec but the paint job is not really doing it for me I'am afraid!
Loved the earlier metallic red they were sporting or maybe a blue? A lot classier! 👍
get those white decals off those wheels
So amazing that only the rich folks can get it!! Or do you think that must of us bike lovers walk around with 25,000 in our pockets at all times??? 👀 Seriously 😂
Quite simply no
To answer the question in the video title. IMO, absolutely not. It's an eyesore. The paint scheme looks like it was designed by a preschooler on hallucinogens and the fat rims look like something off of a kid's plastic tricycle. Now, to state my biases, I prefer the look of lugged steel frames so fat tubes and thick rims will never appeal aesthetically to me. On the other hand, there's no doubt in my mind that the bicycle in the video is more efficient and effective as a racing bike than a lugged steel frame bike, but that wasn't the question. As an aside, I've always believed that very wide down tubes are a thing just so that the manufacturer or team name is more visible and/or readable.
FREAKING SEXY AF!
so beaut
What brand is the water cage?
A stunning Trek Madone bike, i weant one now 👍 Au
I love this bike now, even though I thought it looked terrible at first. Really grew on me quickly and this paint job is the best.
Looks one one of those cheap Chinese oilslick fixie frames.
I don't know why bike companies make these ridiculously expensive bikes. Amateurs who actually race don't buy them. No one wants to crash a 20k bike.
Greetings … with many bicycles now offering custom or special paint jobs like Peterson amazing 🔥 Trek Madone … one would surely want to protect that special paint job from the elements and ride nasties … would something like PPF on vehicles work and would this be allowed … I see that Trek does sell RideWrap on their online store as well … I’m not sure if it could be ceramic coated as well in order to keep that one off work of art as mint as when it left the artists booth at factory
What bike wheel stand is that? Looks 🔥
