We’re going to have Michael Ron out from Felipe and cam Mason in third going going early watch the lights we’re on the orders here inul miss in the center V alongside him and away we go we are off and racing T in the red and blue straight down the

Center of the road gets a great start so does CL Vini in that trickl off French Champions Jersy moving up on the outside so Vinan go wide land a lots of 11 oh Yen Adams coming to a complete stand still on that inside line we saw s Alvarado do the same in the women’s race earlier on but it’s ton Kevin Suarez Fernandez getting a great start in that real dark green colors Lander loocks in those

Light blue colors of tdt uni bets yeah we just saw T take Michael vorn out over to the line and he had to take a foot out in order not to crash and then he didn’t have the momentum to get through that we’re seeing this start

Again um because as they come off of the road there’s only a certain number of lines that you can get into and TBO is obviously leading so he takes that middle line and uh Suarez pushed out the rider to his right over to the side and

That also um impacted a couple of riders behind so yeah Lando locks straight to the front and uh and leading this race and everyone sees the opportunities in these races right now how what’s the the the sort of psychological approach on a day like this is there a real feeling of

Freedom when you come in and there’s not a GC to fight for in something like this it absolutely depends on the kind of bike rider that you are if you’re the kind of bike rider that raises to the challenge then you see this as an opportunity to win and you have huge

Confidence going into these races if you are the kind of bike rider that likes to be taken away by other riders that likes to have those fast Riders around you and raise that’s your challenge then these kind of races you can actually uh make struggle because you don’t have that

Motivation in the race to to drive you forwards but some Riders are just natural winners and so you’ll see them even if they’re not quite good enough to win-win the very best Riders are in they will naturally drift to the top and to the front of the race in these smaller

Races Lander locks you’re s Kevin Suarez Fernandez Yan verir powering surfing that mud section the alind kernick rider in the blue colors and he’s been coming on to some great form we saw him in L hat with doing battle with Felipe ort um both of them were up there for that but

As you said look at the Spanish champion in that red and yellow jersey look at the power and the pace through that mud you raced a lot in the bass country in your career didn’t you and and as you said these are the sort of conditions that will suit Felipe yeah we’re just

Coming to see that again there’s a big rut there that you can see forming and it as his wheels just slid out of it um and he turned too soon so lerock had to jump off and that actually impacted a lot of other Riders around him as well

But he’s back up there um and johanny V is up there as well right into third spot right now I totally forgot he was on the start line I have to adjust my top three um you did sa them before actually so yes and Felipe ORS is really

Really good in these conditions as you say bass country crazy mud this kind of depth of mud and this kind of riding so he’s used to picking the the best lines that he can um and yeah you can see how tough it is you can see this is the

Section that we saw in the women’s race they had a few problems but we also saw that um someone had come out and just patted it down so that the entrance to the sand pit is much safer again not just anyone so good to go down through this Vincent

Bastan there another rider that’s retiring at the end of the uh the season there’s jenar in that white jersey going through Tom in those light blue colors of that ex Lotto EXO team Michael vour out bit of work he’s having to do to come up to this front group there’s

Suarez Fernandez Vini there’s cam Mason just having a back here two Tarts jar um of course attracts a lot of attention this is his uh his new Privateer program for the uh the back end of his career and you couldn’t finish with anything other than the home worlds could you imagine what the

Atmosphere is going to be like in tble yeah that would be good planning wouldn’t it yeah yeah absolutely so y visur leading out here for kand corand man that we know has got great power as visur N is a little bit further back there there’s cam Mason in that white

Jersey attracting a lot of attention so far this season and Cam’s coming to the front of this race now he might be a little bit late as uh johnni and vuran are coming to the front here they might be starting to battle too hard for cam

To come back to them but he is coming to the front quicker than we see him come to the front quite often he’s not the fastest starter there’s still a bit of traffic to get through Michael vanon out’s moving up nicely now into the six spot bini going uh going

Through then behind them you’ve got y Lis of pal sou bingol y yur though former world’s under 23 Champion Felipe or managing to hop in the mud we’re not seeing many riders bnie hopping today he’s the first one no jump in the barriers in this mod is really really

Tough course conditions and again he’s used to it so if you’re so confident in your skills then yeah you should this bottom of this descent is actually starting to get really bad um you can see the Riders are bumping as they come off of the bridge um and it gets really

Really slick when you do that so you have to just be careful and think about what you’re doing when you’re hitting the bottom of the bridge which wouldn’t naturally be a feature unless you’re getting into deep muda on the wheel here of Felipe orce behind him for Baza TR Lions it’s

An opportunity for the likes of yuran vur so the young R the young upand Comer against you would say bit of a veteran of cycle Crossing Yan V and touring out though early days were on lap one here we know what Michael vanin out can do in

These sort of conditions Rider that does come on strong the second second half of a tough race Clem Vini in that French Champions Jersey for AR BNB holding his own at the moment and all these Riders are thinking about what’s coming next as well they’re thinking about uh showing

The Riders around them that they’re a target for the national championships that putting that little digg in to to question the Riders around them to make those Riders question their for to make them think okay well maybe you know if it’s really muddy for the Belgian Nationals are in Mela which can get

Really muddy um so for Michael vanor out you know he’s showing when I’m good in these conditions johanny V right now is also Belgium and so is yuran vuran so yeah they they’re all Belgian showing that they’re good in these race conditions but Elie isabe will be sat at home not

Knowing you know how he’s going to compare when he comes back for Nationals little Le oh just drops the bike there Yan the we’re going to come around at the end of the lap vour out not far away from the leading Duo here we are on the

Road heading back around towards uh the start Finish Line so we’ll uh get the lap time nce just getting a free ride at the moment on the back wheel of Michael vuran out up to our two leaders to a 759 lap for our leaders going through there’s SS Vini Mason

L then you’ve got W Jansen Scott Funston wearing number 10 there what a ride from Scott Funston from the USA up there Ty Arts going through just ahead of sand devet got got to point out number 10 there in that sort of burgundy Jersey Scott Funston had a great start can he

Hang on leading great locks can he get himself up there this is C Mason in cam Mason mode now yeah and he’s absolutely brilliant in muddy conditions we’ve seen that a lot this year we’ve seen him podium in you know in deep muddy conditions so he’s got plenty of opportunities

Still Zen steba powering through here not far away from the top 10 here J X Diva it’s also interesting to see back up into third spot um and these kind of conditions you wouldn’t always say you’d say he’s a bit better when it’s a bit faster um but he has peaked

At the beginning of the Season he’s gone away he’s come he’s not had such great results so he’s clearly been training hard and this is the time when people are coming into that little bit of form they’re showing what they’re going to take to the World Championships oh

Brilliant move there by Michael vanor out coming right up the inside of everybody who Giani is struggling to hold his bike when he’s off the bike at the minute um that’s the second time we’ve seen him like struggle to put it down in the right place or something but

We’re going to see it again so Michael Von out comes right up to the closest picture on the screen and whereas TBO is trying to get around Giani who’s stuck on the right hand side and catches his bike on um Giani vish’s bike and they

Both have a little bit of a tangle and that’s taken him right back from the front of the race you’re still leading out look at Michael vter out in that white European Champions Jersey powering through the mud trying to make the most of that section to get up just finds that rut on

The inside there ton often running not losing anything to Michael vanur out here he goes into the pits for a bike chains with SE at the head of the race mechanics will be happy with that dropping the B Michael Von does have the advantage of that section of course is

Less ridden on that side because he changes on the opposite side um but even so that takes a lot of power to ride through that section of the mud when some of the other Riders are having to run so Michael vur now just closing this

Gap up here to Y vur over the banks off and running early shoulders that bik you can see the difference in technique here as well Yan deciding to shoulder the bike everyone else just got break levers just slinging it around the uh slinging it around the corners it’s much tidier

Much tidier to to take the bike on your shoulder is I mean you people do things they you know grab their bike and spin it around in circles and obviously other people can’t come around you when you’re doing that but um in terms of looking

Good it’s much better to pick it up and hold it close to you or um and if you lift it off the ground you’re not getting that resistance that you get if you’re rolling your bike on the ground you’re actually having to work harder in

Order to do it and you can if you lift your bike off the ground in some way you can turn quicker as well cuz your feet can obviously turn quicker than a a the wheels of the bike can but but T coming to the front again in these little

Sections that aren’t deep deep mud he’s really really good cuz they are really tough wearing sections but he comes around like we’ve just seen um cam come around there and he’s using those sections to get keep moving himself forward the whole time which is what you

You should be doing in these deep muddy bits it’s the other bits that are the places where you can make time up when everyone’s really powerful and do you think for Yanni V here it’s just taking him a few races to to find that Groove again as you said it’s the technique

When you’re not do you’re not doing that full cross season anymore it sometimes just take those little tiny skills sometimes are the bits that take a while to come back it yes it definitely can um sometimes it’s more about um what suited you before anyway so if

For Vish the faster courses would suit you then you know the faster courses will always suit you um and you need to work a bit harder to working not far away and then coming into our picture CL Vini French Champion behind the red and yellow Jersey of the Spanish Champion

Felipe orts and these national titles you’ll be able to join Helen next weekend for the French national cyc cross championships behind wel Jansen going through G lers then we got Ty Arts out of that chasing group our leaders all together TBO how was interest that little subtle look back there for TBO

Not quite wanting to take it up a little bit early for him at the moment no I think he probably felt that there’s a not quite the Gap that I want to I want to ride away with yet so uh let’s wait a little longer they’ll be doing seven

Laps I think yeah seven laps based on those times so he’s got plenty of time in order to do that um and you can just he was just I think he was looking to see where Giani Vish was because VES is probably their largest competition in

This race right now he he’s been the best of the rest in races like coxer this week already so they know that he’s riding strong um and so he can finish well absolutely can he finish well so these Riders are are definitely going to keep an eye on him that was beautiful

Running by T up that bank there nobody else has got that far up that bank the other Rider they’ve got to they have got to watch out for in this group here if he can get on and up to the front in this sort of race and we we saw in

The Europeans didn’t we when Cameron Mason closed up and was closing in on Michael vanor out there is a lot of race to go and for everyone this leading group The Baza Tre line T Michael vanter and out them all looking around watching the likes of Yanni V this is the day for

Yuran vur to to perhaps steal a cheeky one or Lander loocks who’s been on great form started really well in many races this season but also so for Cameron Mason I think he there was a lot of pressure came with that medal in the Europeans and perhaps some this the the

Starts have been not been kind to him so far and there’s been I think he’s put a lot of pressure on his own shoulders to be up there and Performing this season and he’s really working on his starts he really is um it’s a very different when

You’ve grown up racing in the front of the elite men’s race you these Riders have been racing with Juniors the Junior starts in Belgium are insane and I mean I’ve we’re seeing here oh ton oh just catching himself a little bit on the netting I think he was

Just moving that with his hand a little bit maybe with the bars but nothing really crazy there um yeah these Riders when you race race a junior race in Belgium the starts are crazy and these Riders are used to that they grew up in through the youths into the Juniors and

In the under 23s and for Cam he’s come from England where the racing isn’t quite so intense at the front of the race so it’s much harder to learn that um and he’s learning and he’s putting the right things in and he’s not being stupid in the way that he uses his

Energy he’s slowly moving himself back to the front of the race he’s not expending all his energy at once and and burning it up and then uh not having the energy to then race once he gets to the front so I think he’s doing a really good job

This season and I think he should be really proud of his performances so far yeah definitely Michael voran out at the front this is developing into a really nice battle between Michael vanor now look at that run there from vanor now opens about 5 MERS or so 10 met on too

Nce behind him Y and vur nce and vur have done battle many times as under 23s this is what they’ve got to be careful of though Michael vanan out kicks out of that turn both Riders behind had a small delay we can see the rain spots now on

The lens of the camera the rain uh was has stopped for most of the afternoon but it’s the Pal Sal Bing goal Rider European Champion vanur out he’s just starting here to put in a bit of a dig bit of a bid here for Michael vour now

And TI isn’t isn’t dispatched just yet um they’re still he is making a decent sized Gap but TB doesn’t look like he’s struggling he looks like he still has energy left at this point so but Michael vanon that was a brilliant move there by him he’s really clean lines really nice lines he

He did the option in the corner where he put a foot down to bring his bike really really close again into that grass so that he’s able to ride quicker um and he seems to be really really strong and he’s good in these race conditions these are really good for him he’s a

Good runner he’s got a lot of power he also knows how to win bike races when the other strong top Riders as we calling them um even though Michael vanon himself is a top Rider um he’s really really good at taking his opportunities to win bike races when their opportunities present themselves

To him and he is ranked seventh in the world as well isn’t he’s not he’s AC he’s not too shabby uh at a bite race Michael b s it out um but that beyond that that he’s only had that European Championship win so far this season um

It was a really nice demonstration that the way when he went when he put this move in that he ran that whole section really good leg speed through that run the remount and it just took that small mistake from TBO nce and yuran vur to to

Give him that advantage and now nce and vur having to use burn that power to try and come back Cameron Mason up to Fourth yeah I think tbo’s riding really really strong foran’s riding really really strong but I think Michael vanon I don’t think it was necessarily the mistake of

The others because they both did the similar way on that corner with a foot down I think it was more that Michael vanon out had put already raised the tempo and so when you raise the the um tempo of the race you’re able to apply pressure constantly and he just did that

Constant section of of pressure and now Cam’s coming right back into the pitch uh towards these two Riders the way he took that corner it was like proper two wheel drift going on there from Cameron Mason in that corner well British Riders are used to these race conditions the same as you’d

Say Belgian Riders are used to them but they haven’t in the previous years Michael vanor out is probably one of the older riders in the race um and he’s he will remember these race conditions when he was younger whereas tb’s 19 years of age is he’s never had this this season is his

First season of proper epic mud racing to experience it himself and now Michael V out 30 now you know get you know sort of becoming a bit of an elder Statesman Now isn’t he you get to say that Michael V turn out coming around at the end of lap

Three the Pal Sal and being goal Rider putting that attack in goes through that lap 741 lap so we’d had a a 759 a 756 and a 741 from Michael vuran out as Yan vuro nce go through the line just ahead of Cameron Mason and yanir little Shake of

The head there of you from Yan lerock in those light blue colors there of tdt univet he’s still in hit ghost through four laps ago Felipe ODS still up there the Spanish champ Champion there’s a look up at the clock as he goes through the line we just have to hope that Michael

Von can hold this to the finish this season he’s been really good but he always T tends to dip in that final lap whereas we know the likes of K Mason in the brsh champ who is now on the back of these two Riders just gets stronger and

Stronger and and stronger during the race looks like vuran actually had a bit of a uh acceleration and he’s able to come back a little bit podium in val in the World Cup oh Cam Mason takes that Rhythm Section beautifully carries that speed we got a real battle behind between theur Mason

And TBO nce yeah it’s going to be interesting to see how Michael vanur out carries this one I think some of the illness the injuries he’s had so far this season or vur there little wheel spin just costs himself well he’s the first person to actually ride over the

Top of that it looks like cam Mason just did the same actually uh whereas all the other Riders are running it seems like there’s a line forming in there now and so if you can get in that line you’ll go over the top but once you get over the

Top you’ve got all those footprints on The Descent so you need to make sure that your line on The Descent um is actually a safe line as well which is why we saw one of the riders jump off from run down even though they’ve made

It over the top change of line this time on that um little hot dog turn there for Michael VOR out running really long and cutting straight back across it rather than taking that inside rut because now he’s able to because now he’s made a gap he’s able to take the really good lines

Whereas before you want to protect your line as much as possible and these two Riders are actually going to are fighting it out now for second spot and so they are taking that line still because not only do you need to protect your line you also need to make sure um

That it is fast whereas Michael vanon out can be smooth rather than um more jaggedy effort that it takes to get into that Short Line the crowd here inim getting behind Michael V turn out at the head of the race if you are just joining us today

Welcome aboard it’s the hexia cross here in hulm and it is a standalone cross so not part of any series you one of the unique races in that aspect in televised cyclocross and it’s Michael vuran out that’s leading out from yur and visur of K and Coran

Cameron Mason of the cyc Cross Reds yanan of Al de kernick and then tonce of the Baza Trek Alliance seems a little bit like ton just starting to drop back very very subtly in that group very very slightly in that chasing group behind but look at the lead speed of Michael

Vanon out now he on a mission he knows that uh he’s leading this race and his his his opportunity to win another bike race this season and he’s taking every opportunity he can his leg speed is beautiful going through this mud and here comes cam Mason up to Ur vuran

So he did bring Jani V with him and TBO has obviously picked up a little bit to get on the back of this group but hopefully Mason can can come around and jump into a muddy section first and uh bring himself stuff closer to Michael Von as he’s just doing right

Now great cyc across conditions here Kim today V turn out look at that line that the European Champion takes through there getting some great shots here of the mud watch cam Mason’s lines on these Corners the cycl cross Reds Rider the British champion goes wide just tries to

Find a little bit of green finding the grip where he can comes out of that corner V just a little slide out there and it’s it’s fascinating that every one of those Riders followed Cam’s line there whereas on previous laps they following Michael vanon out’s inside line because again they’re trying to

Protect that line and if you can come out of that line first even if you don’t have the same speed that the person around the outside has when you’re in a group you can cut them up so now that there Cam’s in the race he’s using the

Lines that he’s used to like right riding which are really smooth lines and the other Riders are just following him because what’s the point in taking a shorter line that in the in the intermediate period is uh slower when you can go all the way around the outside and nobody’s nobody’s trying to

Cut up the inside on that line so little dab there the from cam Mason at the front vur and ver just and T N there little hand slink off that wooden post that wooden course marker Michael Anan out the T nice European Elite Champion been World under 23

Champion Belgian Champion he’s going to defend that title our directors uh Just sh someone’s going to have to have a bath later not getting the car like that that’s going to be fun isn’t it they need to take they need to take the dog

To the to the pits jet jet wash jet wash the dog it’s one of those dogs though that’s probably about two an inch all the way around it’s all the f that gives them the the the volume C Mason doing a great ride here as we said when we came

On air the British champ loves these sort of conditions coming from Scotland you’ll know these sort of conditions well and it was a race between him and Michael vanur out in those European championships and Michael vanur out as you said a moment ago he’s making the most of today and other opportunities to

Take a victory and he’s one of those Riders who so good and we were talking about it with Irv Vin and Sven nce a little while ago Michael Van is so good at peing on that that specific day that’s one real skill that he possesses he does I would say it’s because he’s

More talented than the training that he puts in this sounds really harsh and I don’t mean it in a harsh way um but some Riders really Thrive of incredibly hard work they do a lot the lik to spend Ace they do a lot of hard work the whole season they’re incredibly talented they

Work for it and Michael vanon out is incredibly talented and he seems to put the work in when the goal is in sight and that’s why you always see him do well in championships like oh he’s he hit that section as well there must be like a rock or something there that’s

Where Giani Vish did that with his bike on the first lap um it’s almost like he can train really hard for 6 weeks and some people’s bodies aren’t capable of doing a a full season worth of hard hard training and racing and then that means that those

Six weeks of training getting his legs and he is flying for when he’s peing for an event I think he’ll Peak for Belgian Nationals 741 so 74128 with is lap three lap four 74142 and that’s always interesting in these sort of conditions how metronomic you can get those uh those lap times

Cameron Mason in second spot has managed to distance himself from those chases the Gap is 20 seconds as we go through with three laps to go y vur TBO with yanir still in not far off the back of that group this is these three laps to

Go now is where we’ve seen vanor out struggle slightly this season to hold that and that as we said could be down to those sort of health problems that he had a little bit earlier on in the season so we’ll see how he manages to hold this

One today as you said we’re not we’re weak away from Nationals yeah I think he’ll be peing for Nationals I think worlds when Matthew vapel signs up to the start list you know worlds is probably out once you’ve seen him racing this season the form that he’s had um

You have to be realistic and realistically he’s Untouchable um so would you Peak for the World Championships knowing that when you could Peak for a Belgian national championships and win that again um and the Belgian national championships to a Belgian is quite possibly the next biggest thing after the World

Championships so it means so much to these Belgian Riders to ride that trickolo Jersey that they have and so if you can’t win world what would you go for next he’s already got European champ so why not go for Belgian Nationals World Championships are Flanders isn’t

It a lot of the time cam Mason in second there we got to see Cam’s really nice line A little dab at the top but he’s able to get into the right rout by doing that um and smoothly down it means it’s one less section of running that he has

To do and on off the bikes you don’t really think about it but getting on and off the bike the whole time is actually another effort as well because of the the springing that you have to do the way you land on your inside of your

Thigh the the effort you then have to do to get your feet clipped in and accelerate away again whereas if you’re able to stay on the bike it’s slightly easier Mich turn out just going real extreme left of the pit Lane he’ll be able to see Cameron Mason who’s

Currently in second here for the cyclocross Reds carries very nice speed through that corner there for Cameron Mason you’re in vur and ton are locked in the battle here for third place that rut is getting really nicely carved out now through that hot dog turn Yan V is

Not outside out of the shout for the podium here as well Swift bike change from Baza track Lions as he shoulders that bike both our Chasers remount at the end of the pits if you’re with us on the TV you’re off for a short commercial break make sure you come back You actually can choose uh in in the races that in the past you’re able to choose a pit Lane that when you get to the event so you can look at the pit Lane and you can say well it’s really muddy here uh tb’s pit

Lane is actually on the one of the very first ones and so that means that if he starts to get bogged down again bit he has to get off and run and so he’s running further than whereas Michael vanon out was nearer the far end so he’s

Able to ride on that grassy outside line and go further um now you’re actually allocated a pit when you sign on you kind of pull a number out of a hat and it distributes evenly oh like crash there by TBO slip of the foot going around that

Corner um and so now you’re allocated a pit Lane and um that means that you don’t get to look at it and say we should go for this one which means that in the long run it’s fair because some races is better some races it’s not but

In the short term in a race like this it can actually be quite a hindrance to a rider like TB that gets one of the first pit Lanes well you only have to turn up sometimes when you get to the car park and you see how much of the car park

Certain teams have taken so that it’s definitely you know you’ll get to a car park and and one team’s taken the hole of the car park got it all edged off with their tape so it’s the same thing in the pits it would be a it would be a

It would be a real bunfight um if it wasn’t allocated like that in the past it never was and it seemed to work out but yeah nowadays I I I think it’s because there were some incidence um and that led to them changing the rules a little bit y

Visora former World under 23 Champion with the current world under 23 cyc Cross champion in TBO n TBO has one of course been European champion on the road phenomenal Road Rider as well Michael vanur now is holding this Gap here over Cameron Mason and he’ll have

That sense of the Europeans that’s a lap Rider you can see just in the background there that sense of the Europeans but the Gap here is a strong one for that’s a really solid Gap and he’ll have the motivation of the crowd around him and he’ll have the motivation of winning the

Race he’s obviously feels pretty strong he doesn’t look tired you can look at his eyes and you know you can see he’s still trying but he doesn’t look tired so I think um I think he’s got this one set he’s one of those sort of riders it

Seems within Belgium that has a real he’s he’s got he’s got a a a very broad appeal amongst the fans if that’s if that’s it’s something fair to say yeah he’s a really nice guy he’s really he’s fun Friendly Smiles a lot happy like

He’s a nice a nice guy so yeah I don’t see why the belgians this not much to dislike I don’t think there’s anything to dislike about him so why wouldn’t you support him our leader Michael vanur now just picking up some back markers on the course still leading from Great

Britain’s Cameron Mason yoran visur in third spot Tio nce in fourth but the lead for the European champion from pal sou and bingo really using the opportunity today to take a victory just look glances across there at TBO nce you can see you can always feel the power

Draining from these Riders is lap as we go through this race draining they’re using their power this is exciting Marty it’s not a Cho positive I you you just the way TBO there you’re plowing through that mud as it’s it’s yeah put that positive spin on it yeah it’s really it’s proper cross

Weather it’s proper cross conditions it’s proper crosscourse traditional old school crosscourse and it’s it’s fun when you’re riding it it’s really tough but when you’re able to drop people it makes you feel so good um and when you’re able to just ride away it really

It really gives you a such a boost in the race whereas in some races it’s really tactical racing and it’s really tough sometimes because you’re not able to drop people you’re not you have to be really tactical and that’s much trickier it shows the the speed that Michael vour

Now’s lapping at here the the riders that he’s picking up out on the course uh 753 lap roughly give or take um with Marty’s in race timing here today um so just slow just a touch on that lap but really lapping uh ride as well just ahead of him Cameron Mason around just

Over 20 seconds the last time he went through it’s holding at about the same level with two laps to go go vur has managed to distance himself from ton who’s trying to come back and the three of these Riders C yur Mur and Tio n have all done battles as under 23s throughout

The last few seasons I think Mason’s uh Mason’s Gap over the following two isn’t massive at this point um only 12 seconds or so so in in mud conditions that’s actually only one incident but vanor out’s gap of 23 seconds over Mason is is a solid enough

One that as long as he just keeps a steady tempo I think he’s got the winning of this race can tibo nce and yuran vur get back to Cameron Mason ahead just TBO just doing that that little STI little dab sling that bik round that

Turn yeah and it works it does work if you want to get onto the grass but also when you’re on your own it’s much easier to be consistent and to take those grass lines like Michael vanor out is showing that you’re able to be stronger um and get a bigger Gap

In those conditions but you are if you do if you put the foot dab when you bring your bike straight you are straight onto grass so it’s it’s tough it’s tough to work out which ways the quickest in these different circumstances I would still say that the

Lines that um Michael Von’s using are actually the nicest and the smoothest and probably over the consistency of the race are the fastest for Riders like Michael Van turn out that was a lovely line see the way he cut across that it was beautifully done there comes in you’ll see he’s a a

Dirty side disounter as we call it um gets off on the uh opposite side of his bike to most Riders and it does as you said it gives him a bit of an advantage in the pit loan here as well you can see just gets that little bit of grip and M

Rers oh just going have a little replay here just going back we had an issue earlier on that’s just starting to get gouged out again that sender mayor um went down there Mar Nobert rubera going down on that section of the course in the elite women’s race Rudy to be got

Out stamped the sand back into that hole um it’s a section of sand that’s been dumped in the muddy field so that means that the way that in um it isn’t natural sand pit it hasn’t been dug out and put sand in it’s just dumped on top of the

Mud so there’s obviously just a a hole coming into that section oh that was a long run in theory you’re only supposed to run about three or four steps without your bike uh I don’t know if that’s necessarily rule anymore but it was in the past and uh because sometimes Riders were getting

To the point where they’re running a lot without it because it’s lighter but I think that’s just because there was two pit changes going on in different sides at the same time and it was all just a bit awkward rather than anything planned to try and get an advantage Michael V

Anoun back on his signature European Champs Wrigley bike you see how cam Mason just went around that rut there so these Riders know it’s there and these Riders are making changes and he was only a millisecond to the side of it centimeter but that was enough pit third place battle yuran vur

And ton both Riders there just avoiding that big hole that has formed two laps to go when we get round to the line this time it will be one to go this battle for the third spot on the podium it’s a really well measur measured battle between TBO and uran

Here yeah they’re very equally matched at this point in time um I think V has probably been more consistent tb’s been more up and down but equally he’s still there and he doesn’t look like he’s going anywhere he’s just jumped in front in order to get into this section so he’s obviously

Going to get on sooner and try and ride these next corners and make some kind of move I mean they do only have two laps to go when they get round to the finish one lap to go when they get round to the finish line now next little dab on the inside for

T as yuran vur goes that wide line the Cameron Mason line could do that inside but it’s work for too that that little those couple of little moves there so for T that’s really worked and for vuran it didn’t work whereas we saw when Michael vanon

Out and cam Mason did that line it worked against TBO so it is just at that particular moment in the race and it depends what you’re good at if you’re good at accelerations from zero like um Tes then it is actually a really good line if you’re good at a

Consistent power the whole way around the course it’s not such a great line because you can’t you’ve got to accelerate really quick and you see he’s made a really big gap I could see he was going to make some kind of effort at that point because an impressive ride today from this

Man and it was it was it was just a matter as it comes down to across matter of about 300 M in the way that he made his the when he made that move yeah uh a smart move he accelerated well uh he was he took a really good line into

Those Corners came out accelerated and held that acceleration for just long enough for the others not to be able to think they could come back and still riding super strong even with one lap to go Bell lap this time for Michael vanur out as he goes through so

A 752 lap so 75 3 752 so the last couple of laps consistent for him it was just around 22 23 seconds for cam Mason at the end of the last lap so the cyc cross Reds ride it in that British Champs Jersey goes through and he’s holding it he’s holding

It pretty nice only a second or so here and there and these two Riders were at 35 seconds last lap through so be had to see if they’ve gained anything on anyone in front of of them y leads through looks over the shoulder at

Ton one lap to go this is the battle for the final spot on the podium so these two Riders are fully focused on getting that final spot they’re not going to be able to get back to the front group they’ve decided that and they’re going to be watching each other and because of

Their battling they’ve been doing in the last laps they’re actually now 50 seconds behind whereas at last lap they’re only 35 so I think cam Mason secured himself his second spot little uh shot of the pits here they are having to work really quickly today aren’t they I mean it’s it’s such

A skill in how quickly the mechanics can turn around in the pits both these Riders is just swinging backwards and forwards here between these two in the battle for the podium I can’t tell who’s uh Stronger at this point I can’t tell oh we’re going to see another crash

Here he’s not even looking up oh steevie oh it’s steevie that’s gone down sobar unfortunately little crash there oh he’s loving it is he Ste yeah he lives in Belgium a lot of the time he’s married to a Belgian woman so I think he’s just a embraced it and I

Think they’ve embraced him significantly into the pits Michael voran out will he take would you would you go double change here just finish on a clean bike or do you think we’ll just get one change his lap uh he’s only changing once lap anyway I think isn’t

He so I don’t think he’ Chang his strategy just for a clean you’d do that if you had a minute and a half you wouldn’t do that for 23 seconds yeah obviously if your pit strategy is every half lap you would maintain that pit strategy although from

The second pit you don’t have as long as you would if you were in the race still because you’ve only got to get to the Finish but um if you’re only doing a one laap strategy you wouldn’t you wouldn’t mess it up unless you had at least a minute visur and nce together

They so it’s so difficult here to just to see any weakness between these two it could come down to a road Sprint nce just shoulders that bite for S he’s a little bit further down the pits Sprints with that bike nce both Riders fractionally fraction difference there

In the REM but vur attacking out of the end of the pit Lane here to try and put some distance between himself and TBO nce tbo’s not giv up TBO is right back on him again if TBO can get first into that last running section then he can

Get this last spot on the podium I feel that Jordan’s good got a very good finish on him but I think he will know that he needs to distance TBO here at if if at all possible on this final lap where you can see he’s just trying to put in those little attacks

Here and there to try and get rid of nce back to our leader Michael vour out Cameron Mason in second taking no risks at all at the front of this race now Michael vanor out his he run that corner because it was quicker than putting your foot down and dabbing and jump straight back on he’s still looking smooth getting on and off so normally when you’re tired that’s one

Of the first things that goes when you jump on and off it looks slightly more labored but he’s still looking super strong at this point and neither of these two are given up either nce just moves alongside and in front of yor visur this third spot on

The podium up for grabs Baza Tre lions and kin coron would be a good result for both of them and that’s the place where TBO attacked last time would he attack there again probably not I would wait a little bit longer until you got to around this section where Michael vanor

Out is now and that would be quite a good place to try and G uh for sure and for Mich turn out the Gap at just over 20 seconds Cameron Mason still got him really Under Pressure here cuz 20 just just over 20 seconds it’s just about that clean final

Lap here for Michael vanor out yeah he can’t make any mistakes he shouldn’t put too much pressure down but he really can’t make any mistakes either um as long as he rides just on the edge of his limit then he’ll be fine T’s dist here y vur can visur come

Back this is the battle for third it’s 10 m is it growing nce just takes a glance back over the shoulder that’s where nce attacked last time on that UB Bend and he did it again this time but vuran is better on this part and so he always comes back to

Him whereas if he’d waited a tiny bit longer potentially he could have made a move on this section nice move there the hand sling there around that section for T oh comes to a ho will that give vur the advantage H he tried to pounce on it ton just saw

Him come to a bit of a halt there but both Riders this is a great battle between these two TBO just shoulders that vik Mur Waits fractionally longer before he does the same with Michael vur out C Mason clear and Solo in first and second this is the most interesting

Battle out there at the moment dropping off that section off the bridge there a real deep rut at the bottom of that bridge but sure power down nce comes back to him this could come down to a Sprint for the Finish Michael vanor out he cannot let up you saw him just

Glancing across to see where the second place rider was Michael’s got this under control at this point please he really doesn’t have to do much more now he just has to be consistent and not put too much effort in and just enjoy that Victory because cam is far

Enough back at this point that uh he doesn’t need to make any stupid mistakes not at all Michael vuran out shoulders that bike this is a good day for pal Big Goal glances across you can see constantly here just checking where the Chaser is behind the battle for third theur drops

Some more power here on TBO nce you can see the shoulders go left and right as nce just tries to come back here to yor visur they both know they have to get into that running section first they both know that the first person out of

There has the advantage when it comes to a Sprint finish and here he comes it is going to be the second victory of the season and starts 2024 in great fashion Michael vour out pal Sal’s Bing goal takes the victory here in hm and a real welcome confidence boost

Ahead of the Belgian championships and defense of that title Cameron Mason is going to take a really strong second spot here British champion from the cyclocross Reds makes the podium yet again in second spot now the Sprint and it’s vur that gets the better here of T he is
