Cycling in the Netherlands is one of the best and most rewarding things you can do! In this video vlog, I will take you around on a cycling adventure to the Dutch countryside, famous tulip fields, sandy beach dunes, and a Medieval castle!
For my bike route, my friends and I cycled from Amsterdam and went to:
– Sassenheim (by train)
– Lisse
– Zandvoort
– Muiden
I love cycling in the Netherlands because of the amazing bike infrastructure and the diversity of things you can see!
What do you think of this video? Let me know in the comments below!
Keep exploring,

Nice video, isn't it great to be able to cycle in the Netherlands during these tough times. I also uploaded my recent ride on a great cycling route, check it out

Nice! Beer and milk? I do love Amstel light and fresh milk too.
You can come to Nunspeet, Its really great here with amazing natural forest and lake area. I can help you let explore Nunspeet for a day.
i recomend to visit maastricht and the rest of limburg
Great that you’re exploring the country but why on earth are you taking the train? You guys are smart enough to know it’s for essential travel only at the moment, not for a trip to the beach.
♥️♥️♥️
I used to cycle 36km everyday to my school here in Friesland for 4 years (northern part of the Netherlands) it’s a great exercise! Only during winter times it was very hard
Nice country
Love this feeling, enjoying views while biking.
Try to go to Giethorn:)
You should visit the Posbank near Arnhem (by bike). 😉
Very nice to watch this and for you (if you do this every weekend) its very healthy haha good job
Hope you have a great time here.
If yuo like to bike long distances, you should try out 'fietsroutenet', it has put signs all over the Netherlands with green numbers and arrows. You can plot a route on the computer in advance, and go from number to number (I print out a strip and tape it to my steering wheel). The routes are as 'nice' as can be: showing the best nature and points of interest (watermills for example). You can set up any length route you like using the website. https://fietsroutenetwerk.nl/routeplanner
those bices didn't had speeds? gears? 🙂
Greetings for Florijn neighbors! 🙂
"uphill" lol, in my city we would still consider that even ground.
great video next to explore Alkmaar the cheese market
Je zadel staat te laag. Hoger zetten, dat fiets een stuk makkelijker.
Do the Marker Wadden. Contact some boat people and sail there. You can claim the land for the Philippines because I don't think the Netherlands has officially claimed them yet. It's a nice story anyway.
"The wind is so strong"
Try cycling in the autumn, I remember we sometimes had to walk home from highschool (+- 4 hours) due to too heavy wind. And then our mother getting angry as we weren't in time (strictly, always exactly, 17:00) for dinner.
And beware of those speedy cyclists indeed, it usually is not your fault when they get angry. They ignore red lights, don't like it when people don't go fast enough, don't even ring the bell when they want to overtake etc.
And not to mention the way they behave when driving on roads with cars..
Take a train ride from Amsterdam to Steenwijk. And hop on your bikes from there. Large nature reserve west of here (Weerribben-Wieden) with loads of bicycle paths and you can also visit Giethoorn which is nicknamed Hollands Venetië (Dutch Venice). 🙂
Can't take the bike in the train anymore new COVID-19 rule
A couple of dear crossing the path at clear daylight is pretty rare though, that's a really nice vid, but I've seen a fox in the my home town streets near the sea.
5:57 coronavirus. Spatiegebruik.
I was wondering where the hell “Lees” was.
Please do a travel vlog about Tilburg!
It appears that you forgot to shift down when running up a hill or facing a strong headwind. Were you riding single speeds?
Frickin' Awesome 😀 ! you show me my country like i've never seen it… OR like i fail to appreciate it !
Texel is a nice place to bicycle.
Zeeuws Vlaanderen. De Acht zaligheden below Eindhoven.

Post Corona:
I can recommend Zwolle, Amersfoort, Den Bosch and Deventer. Biased because I Live in Deventer. Famous for the largest Dickens festival in the world according to the BBC, so it must be true. Largest second hand book market on first Sunday in August. And the summer Street theatre festival Deventer op Stelten with world class theatre acts from all over Europe. See my channel to get an impression.
Utrecht, the Hague and Rotterdam are worth visiting too. For a weekend in Rotterdam I can recommend the James Hotel. For a weekend in the Hague I can recommend the Novotel city Hotel. In both cases in the middle of the city across a Bijenkorf department store. Clean and not crazy expensive.
Gouda is interesting for your channel. Get some real Goudse kaas instead of the tourist stuff which is actually window sealer;)
Waterloopbos bos and Radio Kootwijk I already mentioned in another comment.
Maeslant Kering near Rotterdam, combine with a city trip to London using the overnight ferry when possible again. It is close to the ferry terminal. Review of ferry: https://canardpresse.reviews/post/stenaline/
Zeeland, Vlissingen and Middelburg, Brielle. Maastricht.
In Germany Bad Bentheim. Stay in Denekamp or de Lutte. Visit Singraven near Denekamp and het Lutterzand. I used to live in the area. Another place to stay is in Oldenzaal on het Hulsbeek.
In Enschede take the train to Münster Germany. Lovely city. You can also go to Dortmund. From Hengelo you can take a train to Bielefeld Germany. Across the border with Enschede there is the city of Ahaus. There is a river called Aa, below Enschede it is named Buurse beek. In Deventer combines with the IJssel and it is called Schipbeek.
Go to Terschelling or Ameland with your bike…
Take a train with your bike, away from Amsterdam, to Salland and the Vecht and IJssel valleys, Start in Zwolle and bike east… the further away from Amsterdam the more beautiful 🙂
Raw milk you should always cook…. I lived next door to a farm, we always cooked the milk we bought next door…
Drenthe, the forested parts, is nice for bikes, beautiful heather, old villages and megalithic monuments.. Older than the pyramids of Egypte even.. Google "Hunnebedden" ..
I used to work in some of the places you visited. Very fond memories of my time there. thanks for your vlog!
Your contents are awsome.💚
ga eens richtimg weesp en dan richting hilversum daar is een mooi bos
TIP: If you want to pedal more efficient, place your feet on the pedals in such a way only your too's stick out over the pedals.
Do not pedal with the your feet in the middle of the pedals, you get tired much faster that way. Just a tip…
Great video…

Wooow, very nice!
Cycling is the best way to discover the countryside. I had to laugh a bit when you said you cycled 30 km in one day. My husband and I do about 40 km as an after dinner ride. We are 59 and 60 and also have ordinary city bikes.
