Hi and welcome to WannaGoBiking. I’ve headed out for the Harz region in Germany for a few days to take advantage of the beautiful weather. This is already the last day unfortunately. A short ride up the highest mountain in Northern Germany, the Brocken. It has quite the history as it served as a spy post for the DDR back in the days.
Hope you like it, enjoy your rides and stay safe out there !

Hi and welcome to WannaGoBiking so this is my third day in the Harz and also my final day unfortunately and probably the best day of the weekend so far I’m at 600 M of elevation and it’s a whopping 20° I’m going to try and ascent highest peak
In Northern Germany which is called Brocken. It used to be an Eastern European listening post to the West and it now it stands at 1100 something meters so it’s quite a bit of a climb, normally I think it’s the time of year there could have been snow already
On the top so yeah for now I’m done talking and start cycling see you soon well it averages out at 5% but it’s going to feel a lot harder than that I know Well as you can see I probably have to slalom my way up because of many
Hikers and pedestrians but can you blame them with this weather first kilometer done now the real climbing starts, so let’s have some fun so we’ just passed the BrockenBahn this is an old steam train going all the
Way to the top could have taken that one but that’s 25 Euros, I’ll save some money today the last track was fantastic this not so much Eastern European military tracks: nothing for me to steep and not very comfortable look how deep these holes are man oh this is so so unridable
About, 1500m and it should be back on track which is not saying that it’s not something similar but oh well well up there you can see the Brocken,  my route was supposed to take me along that Ridge
Over there where the train runs but yeah there was a detour and I didn’t fancy Taking my chances on that one so well I’m glad I’m on this surface now cuz my word that military track was absolutely horrendous right I think it’s about 5k or so back to Schierke
And then I hope I can get some coffee fingers crossed but this is this is promising, fantastic day , yay so this marks the end of 3 days of cycling in the Harz, thoroughly enjoyed it it was tough but that’s good for me I need every bit of fitness I can get
Before the winter hits me yeah as always thanks for watching hope you liked this video and I’ll see you in the next video no idea which one but until that time enjoy your rides stay safe out there and I’ll see you in the next video cheers bye-bye just in time

A genuinely fascinating ride. The spy post almost seemed fake and a little bit eerie at the same time. A great ride and nice to see you get a coffee in on this one!!
