Step into the enigmatic embrace of this ancient French chateau, shrouded in mysteries that weave through the tapestries of time, tracing its origins to the 15th or 16th century.
Within its walls, valuable family history has remained in its chambers. Delving into its rooms reveals the life of Mr. Alexis Bego, who once presided over this grand edifice.
At a mere age of 20 years old, Alexis embarked on global odysseys in state service, braving the Crimean War and defying odds even after losing both of his legs. His seafaring prowess earned him the title of sea captain and accolades as Knight of the Legion of Honor. Remarkably, he graced this world for 104 years, until 1928, when he passed away.
Upon his passing, his eleven children inherited the chateau, yet evidence suggests it lay largely untouched, preserving its vivid past. An ancient letter, dated 1821, predates Alexis’s birth, entwining deeper the castle’s enigma.
Throughout, vestiges of a German connection linger, whether borne of familial ties or the scars of conflict.
Join us as we tread the halls of this historical haven, uncovering every hidden tale and forgotten corner.

Wonderful explore. So much history. I’m looking forward to doing some research on this!! Thank you!!!!
very unique. Hoarded
Sad that all these places have been ransacked before you guy's get there. So much personality stolen. That letter should be in a museum.
The legs have to be replaced from time to time because of the fit.
29:40 It’s a facsimile of Napoleon Bonaparte’s will! And it is in any case a very beautiful castle, pretty architecture, beautiful proportions, magnificent fireplaces and high wooden ceilings, magnificent woodwork and library 28:49 etc… the bad sound was not a problem!
What a stunning building ❤❤❤
Hello hello!!! 🤴❤🤴❤
That looks like a fairytale 😍 Love the castle from the outside and love its architecture!!! The tower is so lovely. And its location is really nice serrounded by all these green trees, the drone shots really help showing the beauty. There is indeed a lot of things to see inside of this place. But my favorite part of it is that living room, so medieval! Love the chandelier and the huuuge fireplace, i never saw one like that! So big and beautiful. That room was really cozy, the star of the show. Btw guys, i introduced your videos to my student to watch them during his break time, and now, he is addicted and enjoying them, and always asking to watch you both explore these houses together. I will let him watch this one soon, he's gonna enjoy it 😊 Thanks you two for another great adventure in amazing France. See you next time, bye ❤
A la minute 38 on vois un tableau qui représente ´´ La Belle Strasbourgeoise ´ ´ dont l’original se trouve dans un Musée à Strasbourg .
It is a sundial, the round deal on the table.
BACKGROUND VERY STACTIC VIDEO.. DISTRACTING ..

Como assim tanto tempo se passou e tudo ali no mesmo lugar??😮 Quanta História nesse castelo🏰😮
E as próteses…certamente os donos ou a criança perdeu as pernas👢😢
The sound wasn’t that bad, really. Thank you again for a great exploration!
Интересный человек, проживший долгую жизнь и оставивший столь значительный след, как 11 детей и этот замок. Хорошая была жизнь!
for some reason i cannot shake the feeling that what we are seeing is Salt Decay all over the walls where they are mentioning "mold"
i feel like you saying " very Primitive" to the Electro Therapy device is kind of concerning, considering youre practicing medicine? you do know that these devices nowadays are still used and actually their quality is much more primitive than what we see here in this home, that electro therapy device is in amazing condition and obviously made with high quality. now everything is plastic except for the wires basically. You do know that medicine is loiterally just synthetics and poison AND electro therapy is the complete opposite……………..
Very big place but got a lot of stuff it makes the place look very small, also I only see 3 bed room in this castle , I thought a place like this would have a lot of bedroom , it must be hard for a man lost both of his legs to go up and down though tiny staircase, it’s historical places indeed, thank you for sharing
16:44 this is a Sun Dial.
Place it facing the sun. In an outside clearing is best.
As the sun rises & falls, the shadow of the dial ( the vertical insert in your hand ) reveals the correct time of day.🌞

So, how does a German family's estate in France survive WW2 without being pealaged by soldiers & angry resistance ( I'd be angry too ) ?
21: 41 here in the states boaters used these portable TVs for sports & Weather while enjoying their boat activities.
Before smart phones these were really popular in the 80s & 90s.
22: 06 The single headed Eagle with a Crown & ruffled neck feathers is Poland.
Not certain what a proud German family might be doing with this.
Wiping their collective butts?
Some type of target practice?
Know thy enemy. 👹
26: 27 lots of German arritocrats were good wood crafters. Its a hobby for skilled craftsmen.
Both making & improving prothectic limbs dates back to the German middle ages.
32: 22 as the elderly grow older they tend to cling too photos of both past & present loved ones.
Family is most important & and so the gentlman of the house likely slept in this bed & past away here.
He was likely well loved & proud, yet humled by his own experiences & faith in God – per his humble bedding.
Earlier evidence in this video suggests that the family had someone living here until 1990.
And any remaining family is using this home for storage.
The house currently under survailance makes since. Good fir them.
I wish my own survailence worked that well.
32: 47 Not Transgender Related!!!
Moving the boundary of sound with inspired samples and killer beats.
Dudes show was transphonic last night.

Interestingly, the doorway into each room are over one foot thick, suggesting that the walls in all halways of this house are more than one foot thick.
Secret Doors Anybody?🤔🕵♂️
Diabetics lose limbs from poor circulation. Limbs which get really, really bad from setting on ones butt for too many hours each day can become rot with gaingreen & must be removed.
If the family suffers from a history of this outcome then multiple prosthetic legs throughout this home makes sense.
However, it could also be, that in an attempt too ease his own personal loss of both his legs, he made several more pairs for each room too fill more comfortable with himself.
Such a wonderful place. At 35:00 min, the word: Gegenwart=present, and on the medallion the word "Rosenheim", it's a town in the very south of Bavaria in Germany.
On the picture it was no castle near, it is the "Holstentor" in Lübeck (Schleswig-Holstein, North-Germany).
So jealous you guys get to experience these majestic places but so grateful you share it with us.
Fabulous job boyz <3<3<3
what you think is the orjinal design at 30.42. seconds Art work "Marbling" Turkish art.ıt is made with paints on water and transferred to paper or a different surface.:))
This is glorious. Thank you for your work.
Dude, it's not the same house you show on the outside, this type of scam video is already saturated
Очень старинный и интересный замок. Много необычых вещей.
Желательно , организовать здесь исторический музей.
