I reckon she thought she was allowed to use her phone whilst stopped in the queue, but she was mistaken.

    1. Something has gone seriously wrong with the publicity surrounding this law if so many people still think it's OK when they're in traffic. I know that some obviously know it's wrong, but I get the impression that many genuinely – however wrongly – believe they can do this in traffic. That reflects badly on whatever department is responsible for public information on these changes to the law. It seems the only way to educate them is by catching them in the act.

    2. Great catch, Mikey.
You're far too generous. There's no mistake here, she knows full well she shouldn't be using it. Her "I'm not moving" is just an attempt to downplay it.

    3. The endless fascination with phones. These damn devices are responsible for so much harm yet the obsession continues. Bizarre that these people could be reading a book or studying a map with no consequences, but no, the mobile phone is what occupies most people’s conscience.

    4. I can't tell if it's an "Okay fair enough, you caught me I'll take what's coming to me" or an "Okay whatever, I don't care " – her tone just doesn't give it away, nor does her demeanor.

      She'd be good at Poker.

    5. Just because a phone is in a cradle doesn't make itbright to be scrolling through Facebook. Your only allowed to do basic things like adjust sat nav or change music.
Also illigal to have cradle mounted on the windscreen blocking part of your view.

    6. Reminds me of the road warrior scene where the mechanic is told they have less than half the time they wanted to complete the job and the answer was just as cheery, "okay." Thank you, Mikey

    7. Nice one. She was nice about it. I really think when they ban drivers for a year they could change their behavior. A fine is not so much fun but after a couple of days you don't think about it anymore. But when you can not drive your car, bike or anything else on the streets for a year you might become aware to not to drive on your phone.
Mabe more people should reccord phone drivers. And catch them every single time. That would really hurt them and make them start thinking about safety.

    8. What is it with people with their phones, they just don't care, it's about time the government increased it to 9 points and a minimum fine of £1000, if you don't pay it your car is taken as payment or collateral – irrespective of how rich you are, if you have 12 points you are banned for 1 year

      Well done Mikey

    9. I bet the drivers that are twice over the legal drink limit this time of year are laughing and watching you, knowing you can't do anything to them. Shame really.

    10. Idiots deserve all they get…The rest of us understand the rules regarding phone use. The onus is on the driver to know the rules and if they don’t then don’t then they shouldn’t get back behind the wheel until a wee refresher course has been completed 👍🏻
