Buying a bike can be confusing when you are unsure of what you need. We put two bikes to the test, a flat bar and a drop bar. After taking a look at the visual differences, we put the bikes to the test. Firstly, we found out which is faster over a 2km section of road and secondly, we tested their agility and stability on two very sophisticated courses.

Drop bars are faster and more space , but if your a bigger rider and have back issues loke me.they can be a problem
I trink it would be very interesting to do test also with female cyclists ! The position would definitively feels different from an other gender pov!
Good comparison. Fun tests. 😉
Ollie obviously did not fit that flat bar bike as seen in his riding position.
I ride a flat bar but I can pretty much tell how much I need a drop bar because of my arms and the way i even ride flat
f*ing tall guys can't fit in a bike I'm 1.7 meters and ı can get lower with a flat bar vs you 2 getting lowest with drop
also a good reason for drop bars I found is that its much easier to slide in the trafic, because you are a lot slimmer
I like the drop bars since they're much more narrow. I'm a tall guy with very long legs and a shorter torso. For some reason bike manufacturers like to make flat handlebars so darn wide.
Follow JIesus and you will not be ashamed.
Flat.
Falta bar>>> drop shit bar
Flat for life
I’m mountain bike btw
I put flat bar in one of my route bikes, and I regret. I feel comfortable only in short rides, because I need to change the position of my hands on the bar, but of course I can't. Since I made the change I use almost every time my other route bike with drop bar, except for my short backpack city rides.
One thing I didn't see mentioned as a big difference is the position/type of gear shifters.
It is called Baranek in PL, a ram 🐏
Well well well
Thank you💕. After 40 years back into cycling🤷♀️
I prefer a flat bar on a chill ride for the comfortability it gives, but i'm more of a competitive person when in roads that's why I use dropbars more.
Great test. Reconciles me to my flatbar bike in traffic. But I am a bit sick of dropbars passing me on straight runs.
i use flat bar, well its hard for aero so i get creative by placing my hand in the middle when i already accelerate
Based on my experience fit comes first. I have ridden gravel bikes with more relaxed geometry than hybrids / commuter bikes. The promised ‘comfort’ of the flat bar bike is illusory if the geometry doesn’t suit.
1:07 bro looks like he’s high 😂😂😂
But a drop its also a flat bar. Nosense experiment.
Personal Notes:
4:25 Speed results.
