It’s a big change narrowboating on the canals. On the River Thames, I could turn my boat anywhere. My journey up the Oxford canal Starts.

I love your vlogs buddy.
I don't think you told the viewers enough about lock gates though matey. When your boat presses the top gate, the underwater section moves absolutely nowhere (tons of water heavier than any boats), so the top section with the arm is actually being snapped above the water line. Just don't let it happen at all and we will all have your vlogs longer because you'll still be able to move 😂
Much love matey 🇬🇧
You’ll be ready for cosy nights in front of the fire and catch up on a film or two I’ll be a snug as a bug in a rug happy days 😂😂😂👍👍👍👍👍👍🚲
Hi Will, your vlogs don't need to get any better there're great, there're a lot better than a lot of the other channels some of the other ones aren't even about boats any more and they are rubbish, your content and humour is right up there. You carry on doing what you're doing. 👍👍👍
Ay up me duck.
Tis good to see you back on the canals me owd 🙂👍
Great vlog Will, love following your travels and your sense of humour too eh 😀 👍
Glad you not in danger from the flooding its been very bad in places tc now till next time the oldies👍👍👍👍👍🥰
Nice one Will 👍
When you get parking fines, you should pay attention to which organisation issues them, because not all of them have the legal authority to collect fines. Hence why some of them make their letters really intimidating and scary, with the "pay now or the fine doubles" nonsense – they are relying on scaring people into paying up, they know that not everyone knows that they cannot legally collect fines. Car parks or parking zones operated by local authorities (councils) are the only ones you have to pay. Privately operated "parking enforcement" companies though? You can ignore their "fines" – they don't have any legal authority to enforce payment.
wow , twice you've got back in then it's rained , how lucky is that ? , the canals are always so narrow , & overgrown , but they're safer than the big rivers .
Great vlog again Will 👍🏻 You would think they would maintain the canals better 🤔Especially with how much it costs you to be on them 🎧👊🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I will thankyou for very good lvog again a is cold and miserable but keeping warm and smiling. And cheerful no matter what the weather like all.the best for now 😊
I’ve done that with the locks will I think it’s when your mind is somewhere else and I’ve done it with boats behind me and in front 😂
So, if you can’t find a wild mooring and you have to pay less than a car parking charge for 3hours. Stop moaning, your living is almost free and even your contribution to the waterways CRT is insignificant.
0:38 – a bit of local knowledge – that's St. Barnabas Church / Jericho which is the subject of a poem by Sir John Betjeman: "Good Lord, as the angelus floats down the road, / Byzantine St. Barnabas, be Thine Abode." 16:20 – that forest of concrete is indeed the A34 Wolvercote Viaduct, built in 1961. The tunnel shortly after goes under the A40 road to Cheltenham.
I like the way you are very happily moaning a lot of the time, it goes very well with your canal life. Was that £1.55 for red diesel? That's high.
Hi Will. Have you ever cycled miles to fetch Mr Van and found that when you have got to it you’ve forgotten your van keys.
GREATJOB Will
My heating on all so I feel the cold with my age 😅
Now then. You’re coming up in next couple of videos or so to where I moor my boat. Not telling you its name or where but if I don’t see it on the video there’ll be trouble my lad!
Need to make an hour long vlogs, this one flew by! It is too entertaining and need more 😂
I can't believe the gas prices, fifty quid for a 13 kg! In SA we pay the equivalent of about twenty quid, although I see that some companies in the UK are offering much better prices for a refill, the best price I saw online was 35 pounds. Lovely vid Will, thanks mate.
great to see you back on canals, lovely vlogging dude…stay dry
Hi Bill!!! Thank-you for another great vlog 😊
Ah ha you seemed soo happy with a new bell, that did make my mum and I laugh when you had to ding it 😂
Have you thought anymore about doing some volunteering during the winter months?
I absolutely adore our volunteers at work, they really are worth their weight in gold!!! Love from Keith and Fanny ❤
Thanks
