I hope this guy kept his job, but it’s entirely possible he didn’t. I’m told that many delivery companies won’t employ drivers with 6 or more points because of the massive increase in insurance costs.

They never learn.
Why do people take the risk, not the risk of getting caught but the risk of causing harm to others road users by lack of concentration.
This highlights the problem: ordinary people think it's ok to use a phone and try to drive at the same time. This guy is doing what hundreds – thousands – of other people do every day. It needs a proper ad campaign to educate us all that this is as bad as drink-driving and is offensive and dangerous to those around us.
I've started doing the same when im out, and about if i see drivers doing it, I report it! I had someone try to rob me of my phone once when I caught them…
Top catch there, Mikey.
It's interesting how many people say "sorry" when they aren't even remotely sorry (except, perhaps, for getting caught!)
Definitely UNACCEPTABLE, it's too bad that they will only learn the hard way, really stupid as they need their license to work.
Clean catch, he even apologized. Good going, Mikey. I'm glad that you are helping these drivers metamorphize out of their antisocial driving cocoons.
The fact that he apologised just goes to prove he knew it was wrong. Most people don't do something if they know it's wrong, so why are people still using their phones while driving?
Great work from a great honest genuine guy keep up the great work educating the un educated and keeping humans that don’t want the protection of a mobile steel pollution tool. SAFER
He obviously knew it was wrong but still does it thinking that he won't get caught.
Unfortunately many nice people have killed or injured cyclists 🚴♂️ in their 3 Ton vehicles, my own personal experience was when a coach driver nearly ran me over under his wheels “I’m lucky to be alive” & unfortunately it’s stopped me cycling on busy main roads
Such an easy catch. Maybe publicity showing the outcomes: fines + costs; 6 points; insurance hits – in pounds. Most of us have made a stupid mistake that cost us money (not talking specifically phone/driving), and we'd probably just as likely have appreciated a warning prior to doing whatever it was. This mistake though, can cost someone's life – not often, but often enough for it to be illegal.
Seems to me we came out of one pandemic and entered another one involving phone drivers..it's scary the amount of people doing this now…need more mikey's…..thank you mikey.👋
He just drove off with not a care in the world. I bet he’s regretting it now.
I thought trade vehicles werent allowed through the park
Keep up the good work.
It never seems to stop always someone in every traffic light queue. The authorities need to do much more.
I get nervous when my phone screen stays on. It charges in the car but when it's plugged in it just does what it wants. I never have to touch it or do anything, the controls for everything are on the steering wheel. But it still makes me nervous.
In the middle of a junction, can they not use their brain? How many more imported nurses and doctors does the UK need for the lack of basic discipline??
What I've noticed of late in your videos Mikey is that you never put the outcomes quite like you used to do on previous videos.
Why is that?
How did it come to this? Why is it getting worse when it's been illegal for 20 years? Why isn't anything getting done about if it's supposedly worse than drink driving?
Oh sorry he says. Not half as sorry as when he got the court verdict. Well spotted Mikey.
Well done Micky 🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲👍
studies show just having a smartphone in the room with you (even if powered completely off) makes you score as low as 85% as much as you would otherwise test on tests
Bit late But Nice one on The 100K Subs, why do it if you know you cant do it..Stupid people
He is sorry (that he got caught)
O yeah I know then expects sympathy expecting to be let off then whey do it in the first place.
The phone laws are there to protect other road uses.
When will these utterly selfish and deluded (they think that whatever they're doing on their phones is actually important) people finally GROW UP!!!???
Wish we could report like this in Australia! They’re all over the place. Got me a free taxi fare in Melbourne as I videoed the driver using his phone and gave him a choice. Get the Telcos to disable their service except emergency calls.
Another criminal prosecuted booooooom
