The first week of bikepacking Europe was a rollercoaster of emotions. The first day of this big bikepacking adventure was definitely not the most successful one and I felt like almost giving up and going back home.
Luckily I decided to push one more day to what would be the start of a big adventure. Even though not everything was perfect, cycling through fields, seeing the Danube, biking next to dangerous drivers and trucks and on broken roads, I managed to reach my destination, Gyöngyös. I would get ready for another summit here, but that’s a story for the following video.
Nevertheless, it was a lot of fun and learned some important lessons and only increased my appetite for adventure. Looking forward to the upcoming weeks of cycling around this beautiful continent!

your helmet straps are triggering my OCD 😀
Are you coming to romania?
Hey 👋, hope you liked the first week of my bike adventure. For future episodes I would like to know from you what parts of the adventure are interesting for you? And what would you like to see?
See ya next week for another adventure 🗻🚵♀️
So cool vlog! would be great if you could share a gear list. Maybe I do the same Happy travel!!
Good video, I feel the storytelling is a step up from a lot of your previous content. Some of the remarks were a bit funny to me, I can see where you come from, but I've quite different associations with bad roads and boring landscapes 🙂 Experience changes perspective….
Cool video and nice drone shots. Since you asked for feedback:
– I like the drone shots
– you only did this once but shared the same story of the bike pump multiple times which was not that engaging to me as I already knew it, you could instead tell us only the new information since the last time you shared something
– the pace and level of detail of the video are great
– I appreciate the honesty although at some points it came across as a tad negative for what great adventure you're going on, but if that is how you feel during the trip then do share some of that of course
– lastly, I like the introspective parts, like how you felt weird emotionally when you left for your journey. Those are insightful and make the viewer connect with you at a deeper level
– I don't know if this is feasible for you but I think it would help the viewer understand where you are geographically when you highlight what part you did during certain days/scenes/stages on a map (e.g. a screenshot of google maps or something similar would already help a lot)
Looking forward to the next video and good luck with your trip! Keep it up 🙂
Hey glad I found this at beginning of your trip. I'll be following from Texas!
Amazing video
I found your video (Episode 10) of Albania – I really enjoyed it, so I'll be watching all the others. The video gives a very good idea of what it is like to ride in Albania, the traffic, road conditions, dogs, etc. The drone shots are great, the commentary is interesting and the music is very nice. I might be riding in this area in 2023, and I already feel much more prepared for what I might find.
Just found your channel! Can't wait to binge watch your bikepacking adventure 🚵♂️
