Thanks…need to try blue lassi for sure. From hardcore non-vegetarian food in Hyderabad to a variety of vegetarian fare in Varanasi…it is a tectonic shift.
Never seen someone who is so passionate about food! And love the energy you bring, Max! Buon Appetito!!
Benaras shopkeepers can speak English well. Some speak Japanese and French as well. They are very suave and well behaved.
I'm from varanasi but I live in Mumbai. I went to varanasi last year after 10 years with my girlfriend and we went to all these places multiple times. You should've tried eating rabri jalebi as well and paan.
The traditional dishes look really delicious

What an incredible food tour of Varanasi! Those lassies omg had our mouths watering! They looked soooo good. The thali with the breads cooked in cow dung was extremely unique, what an experience. Followed by the chaat which looked so flavourful. Varanasi looks like an amazing city, we can't wait to visit someday. Thanks so much for sharing your food tour with us!
