Just stumbled upon these videos so I'm not sure if you're going to mention this at any point.. 🙂
The west coast of Denmark is very flat and not really all the varied nature wise as it's pretty harsh nature, windy and very sandy. Just getting a decent lawn out there can be a challenge so other plants have a hard time as well. Central and Eastern Jutland are much more varied, more hilly (for Denmark), have more trees etc. I suppose it's a bit more like parts of the UK in that respect, oak, beech, birch and what have you. The appeal of the west coast is really that "harsh" nature, the broad beaches etc. but the east coast is much more "relaxed" in a sense, less wind, calmer waters, more "tranquil" (not sure if that's the right word..) nature, more "child friendly" waters and so on.
Oh, and the various island (Zealand, Funen etc.) are more similar to the East Jutland coast when it comes to nature, the west coast of Jutland is really a special/unique place in Denmark, which is what appeals to a lot of people for that exact reason. 🙂
EDIT: Haha 3 minutes in and you're already noticing the nature and landscape changing. I guess I was too quick to leave a comment. Oh well. 😛
Next time. Try some of the Islands: Ærø,Læsø,Samsø or Anholt (Anholt the most secluded of the Islands) 25 km of great beaches and 90% of the Island is protected nature.
Nice to hear of countries that respect the land and their country. Sad to say that much like England, the US is much the same as far as litter, graffiti, and general disrespect for public property… 😕
