In this video we stop at a free Aire after getting into France quite late. We then move further into mid France in the hopes of escaping the Arctic Blast on the way through much of the country.
We eventually get to the lovely town of Nevers and decide to hunker down for two days in order to sit out the bad weather.
Our first free Aire was: https://www.campercontact.com/en/france/grand-est/givry-en-argonne/78045/parking-givry-en-argonne
Which was a peaceful night and although we were the only van there felt very safe.
Our second Aire in Nevers which was a paid hire but included 10amp electric hook up, water and waste was 14 euros a night, you save money on extra nights if you book them at the beginning of your stay.
    This was the Aire: https://www.burgundy-tourism.com/campsites/aire-de-camping-car-de-nevers
Great little aire all working facilities and a short walk into the town or the local McDonalds and Lidl.

    A bit about us:
If you are new here hi 👋 we are Suz and Ste. We used to live in Manchester working in 9 till 5 jobs.
In May 2022 we had a mid life crises gave it all up and moved into our motorhome.
We went off to be campsite wardens. Follow along in our journey and see how well (or how badly) we cope with living, working and travelling in a small space together.

    1. Thanks for a great vlog both, we were over in France Spain a few weeks ago, did exactly the same and chased the Sun. Be careful with the Mozzys. Hopefully they’ve died back a little by now, but we were getting eaten alive in South Spain. They descended at dusk, and were relentless. All the best for now Tony and Julie.

    2. Hey you two 😊 I’ve seen potatoes in the comments thought it may have been – could you imagine them doing that in the UK ! 🙄 chasing the sun, hope you get there soon guys you look frozen 🥶😆 xxx

    3. No wonder you don't see many foreign m/hs over here guys don't do anything to support in the way of air's! You both looked nice and wrapped up there. Expect your down in warmer climates now, smashing vid again! As always ❤❤ ××

    4. It’s freeeeeezing here ❄️ brrr 🧤 took our Ted for his sunrise walk and couldn’t get in our back gate because the latch was frozen 🥶. On the up side the frozen mornings are usually the best sunrises 🌅. The driving days seem like a bit of a grind, it’s easy for us though only seems to take you 10 mins 😂😂. Keep on being your lovely selves and have the best time making memories remember when you’re sat on the long journeys you’ve worked hard for the freedom 😘 xxx

    5. Hi Suzie and Steve enjoy your trip over France and Spain love watching you videos we are coming over on the 26 December for two weeks hope to get down to Spain for a few days 😘😘

    6. The piled vegetable are sugar beets, France has historically been the largest producer in the world. During the Napoleonic wars, the Royal Navy embargoed Continental Europe who couldn't get any sugar from the Carribean. Napoleon encouraged the research into the sugar beets and its industrial cultivation eventually broke the need for the sugar plantation economy in the New World and allowed for the Atlantic Slave Trade to come to an end. Amazing vegetable!
