    Visma-Lease a Bike 2024 Team Preview – Can Jonas Vingegaard Regain the Tour de France in 2024?



    Visma Lease a Bike, formerly known as Jumbo Visma, had a phenomenal 2023, winning all the three grandtours with Primoz Roglic, Jonas Vingegaard and Sepp Kuss. All of them shared the podium in the Vuelta. But the hunt for another monument for Wout van Aert will continue into 2024 and maybe in 2024 Vingegaard will repeat the Tour-Vuelta double appearance.

    New signings for the team include Mateo Jorgenson and Ben Tulett while the team will have a Roglic void for the first time since he signed in 2016.

      surely they'll drop the yellow with that being Jumbo's company colour. Id be they'll be some mix with red, Visma logos are black and red. Lease a bike is green, that could be fun and different for the pro peloton.

      tour team gonna be vingegaard, kuss, kruijswijk, kelderman, van baarle, benoot, laporte, bouwman, tratnik then you gonna have a team who is probably the best around

      I"m not sure WVA has the temperament to be a GC rider in the Giro. He likes to go for stage wins as opposed to playing the long game of a Grand Tour. They would've been better with Sepp Kuss as part of that squad. It will be interesting to see what Jorgensen can do.

      I predict that Jonas Vingegourd will crash behind a bus and not have any good results in cycling for 3 years. Bye then, Egan Bernal will have won 9 tour de Frances in just 3 years, during the absence of Jonas. You do the math on that.

      Fyi, that "giro team" was just something someone made up almost solely on a comment of Zeeman about giving the youth more chances in the Giro etc. That squad can be completely different in the end.

      Zeeman has said they use november for evaluating this season and decmber to make the planning for next season so that Giro team is speculation, except for WvA who will ride it and Kuss who said he does not want to ride the Giro as it has not enough long and high climbs. I do expect Kooij to ride Giro

      What about Kuss defending his title at the Vuelta ?
      He was only considered as a domestic/co-leader for the Tour here but he'll most likely be the leader for the Vuelta as well, with Vingegaard as co-leader.

      It would be the best strategy for VLAB since the Tour is going to be very competitive this year.

      Laporte would also probably be a wildcard sprinter in the Tour and maybe come with more of a train on Tour de Suisse and the Vuelta.

      Do we not think Wout is chasing stage wins and the points jersey? And then do that again in La Vuelta maybe another year? He’s even on record saying he’s not built to be a GC.
