Swiss Side I helping with their development and wheels, so IF they actually worked together on it then Decathlon AG2R will be going very quick
they are just going to be tarmacs China
Interesting as always
TdF should start with a cyclocross stage followed by acrobatic cycling using a scoring card system (each point is a sec).
I used to love cobble stages in Tour, but a catastrophic puncture, fall, or wheel destruction would ruin the race. Too great a risk, for a stage race. Gravel is fine, cobbles hurt… rocks!
120 F day (I’m in the US & we suck by not going metric), in UAE or Saudi would be… taxing in July? Winds shwinds.
Are Dane’s good at adapting to heat… I’m not convinced unless they have pizza delivery skills! đŸ˜‚
Swiss side wheels will likely help Van Risel, Swiss side is one of the most tested wheels in the world
Wout proved enough he can climb ( he won a 2 times mont ventoux climb stage) ! If he dont have to work for vingegaard he now can spread his energy over whole the giro ! Wout dont have to prove nothing annymore , he can do it all , you guys should know that. He alreddy did impossible things in the tour the france … If he is supported by a good team he could supprise us all. Only he is not used they work for him. It was always the way arround ….
As a supporter of Cian I woul like to see him going to the grenadiers. He is a future grand tour winner ! and with the grenadiers he will find a team who will support him . BUT they shouldend force him now because he just became 20 years old. The team who take's Cian in have to give him time to grow more !
In the last Vuelta , his first big tour Cian ended 8 place, then he was still 19 years old … BUT he probably will end his contract with Bora đŸ˜‰ . He is a future GC rider he shouldend work for vingegaard he should ride against vingegaard !!!
FWIW, the predecessor of the AG2R development/U23 teams was called "Van Rysel AG2R-La Mondiale" in 2019/2020. They had Champoussin, Jorgensen , V. Paret-Peintre and Joe Laverick on those teams. They raced on Van Rysel RCRs.
Also, Lille is called Rysel in Flemish – so Van Rysel actually means "From Lille." I have a Triban (their other, cheaper in-house bike brand) with "Designed in Flanders" on the seatpost, so Decathlon really lean into that branding.
