The epic 354km ride on my Cinelli Gazzetta 48/18. The config for 2023. I have already over 33000km on this bike. It was a fix gear, SRAM automatic (2 gear hub), single speed.
That is NUTS. Your pain threshold is either very high, or your position and equipment is absolutely dialed in.
I don’t see any bottle cages and the seat-pack is not very accessible during the ride. What was your fueling/pause strategy for the ride? How did you manage to get enough enery into your body while maintaining the pace? Camelbak?
Also lovely bike.

That’s a wonderful rig.
I’m such a fan of these kinds of posts when people show that gear doesn’t matter that much and there is absolutely no need to “upgrade” anything on your bike or the bike itself as long as things work. Many people are asking about what to upgrade on a freshly bought bike – imo that’s a really false approach. I would love to see more posts like this which embrace this kind of non-consumerism culture.
Sorry for my english, hope I was clear.
Upd. 2 questions about the bike. How did you like SRAM automatix and what chain lubricant do you use? Your chain looks really clean, it must not be oil-based. If it’s wax-based – did you reapply it during this long ride?
