In the summer of 2019, I spent a month cycling 2,500 km through Norway, from the southern city of Bergen to the Arctic city of Tromsø. In this video, I discuss five things that I learned about cycle touring in Norway.
My book about the trip – “Cycling Norway: From Trolltunga to Tromsø” – is available on Amazon (Kindle and paperback): https://amzn.to/3cGVjr8

Nice👍 I am looking forward to watching next videos:)
Awesome video Dave. Some super inspirational stuff!
Really inspirating ! I have been hiking Norway several times, but not touring yet
..
Awesome video! Do you have a link to the route that you took? Was thinking of doing south to north following a similar route in the summer! Thanks.
thank you for sharing. This was very useful!
Late to the party, but a useful and nicely produced video. You were abit unlucky with the weather last summer, Western Norway is rainful, but normally the weather is somewhat better than what you experienced. If you ever considered doing this again in Norway, try starting on the other side of the mountain range, in eastern Norway, were there is a greater chance for drier and warmer summerweather. Still hope you had a nice time!
Muzakk on talking is not good….
Thank you very much 🥰
You inspire me ☺️ with your Advanture in Norway……
I do many touring bike's in different places in the world.
Could you please let me know about the road from Bergen To Tromso is it flat or hily because my bicycle is to heavy and i borned in 1969 So my Heart is over used
Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Do you come back from Tromso by bus or airplane ✈️.
I am planning to do touring bike from paris to lochnes lake in North of great Britain Any recommend ideas for my Next Advanture.
I will be happy 😊☺️ if you visit my channel and hope to see you in road some day.
Beautiful video
Very nice video, however the music overpowered your narrative….
Nice video do you have a map of your trip?
Very useful, thank you…wish to cycle eurovelo 1….
Really good video. I want to go on a bike trip in Norway next summer!
Very inspiring vid, one suggestion: look at the camera lenses, looking at the monitor is not engaging at all. Thanks for sharing
🙂 Come on, explore Norway by bike! @UCiYIlFneAB_TRokcuaSF71A
How did you cook in the rain? I'm looking for a tent with a big enough vestibule for cooking when it poors but I'm open for alternatives. Not really into draggin a tarp and setting it up everytime
Thank you for your tips, you've done a rare thing in being inspiring (wow! it looks amazing) and informative (top camping tips) whilst remaining very practical (tunnel map) realistic (rain) and entertaining (great drone shots) thanks you have given me a lot to think about… 🚵♂️🌦️🏞️🏕️⛰️🤔
Thanks for the video – I'm considering bikepacking Norway at some point and may take a small tent and a hammock so I've got flexibility in where I camp
Hey love the video, whats the place at 10:28 ?
👍😎
Very good job .. Might wanna check my vlogs too, Check out my drone shots in Death valley USA and Lauterbrunnen Switzerland . I am pretty sure you will like it !! Cheers…
Great advice!
Did you go during covid? I want to do the eurovelo route but I’m just concerned with covid restrictions
This is so helpfull, Thank you!
Thank you for the Video! Where did you leave your bike when hiking?
wow awesome gravel riding, 2500 km must be long trip through norway, greeting new friend
Hi. Nice video. I must say you have been very unlucky with the weather. It's not normal with so much rain in June and July (22 out of 27 days). I'm from Norway and I have been cycling around in this country for many years – in all parts of the country, East, West, South and North. When I'm planning a longer cycle trip I prepare for maximum 50% of the days in rainy weather but it is always less.
That thing on Trolltunga was scary 😃
Thanks for watching! If you're interested in learning more about my ride through Norway, my book about the trip is available on Amazon: shorturl.at/coqxG It includes notes about about tunnels, ferries, and camping in the wild, and a percentage of royalties is donated to the Norwegian Air Ambulance Foundation.
What section did you prefer? If I was to stay only 1 or 2 weeks..
Pushing your bike to Trolltunga? Crazy guy 🙂 Nice video. Thanks.
Music is too loud and doesn't add anything. Can't focus on the talk.
