We notice the whole place was fenced off with security on the gate so we decided to take a closer look.

We speak to security and watch how they move the vehicles which are so badly flooded, they wont even start.

My car was/is there for months before too. No liability being admitted by Inchcape, so no, that guy was not agreeing a settlement figure, he was just signing a discalimer and getting his boggy belongings back. There were about 140 cars belonging to customers. The only saving grace is that about 100 customers have been loaned cars at no cost to the customer. but the big cost is not so far being covered and Inchcape are pretty much ingnoring most emails from customers.
Oh mate there is like 15m in sell able parts there im surprised there isn't more security.

Councils are insane when it comes to flood mitigation & are pretty much clueless. A few years ago they gave developers planning consent to build a load of houses on land that seriously floods almost every year because it's only 18 inches above the section of the river Derwent that flows through it, & being a former flat grazing pasture it turns into a massive lake at the sight of a rain cloud!
