You certainly like your churches and your knowledge and research is excellent – makes me want to combine my cycling with an interest
If the box pews were reserved for the wealthy and the poor had to stand, then who would sit in the gallery? Maybe the choir?
Interesting as always thanks Andy. I could be wrong, but I assume that the law conducted in the church porsches was Canon Law – as Canon Law covered matters such as disputes relating to marriage, divorce, wills, defamation and so on, back then. I never really thought about where it was conducted before.
