    1. You have a right to petition and protest government

You do not have a right to harass detain assault vandalise your fellow citizens and their property

They are climate terrorist not protesters

    2. GOD I love Pro-life people. You gouls absolutely cannot stop embarrassing yourselves. One minute your bemoaning the act of aborting an unborn fetus and the next you're praising a man for executing two unarmed, non-violent civilians. GOD Matt you're a god damn joke of a person.

    3. Mean while you protest the government’s tyrannical trampling of workers medical and human rights during

We it’s frozen bank account arrests social media blackouts

See you being free isn’t something they can profit off of

But all the lefty causes that enrich and grow the state now that’s something they can get behind

    4. Thow shall not kill the image of God. We are suposed to love our enemies, its all mob rulle from bouth sides. This sounds like when people were defending blm violence in the name of injustices.

    5. @mattwalsh really dropped the ball with this one.
I am Panamanian 🇵🇦. I dont know if this is from him or if he is just running with whatever his production team gave him. But this was so twisted up to fit their points and took everything out of context while clearly ignoring all the real fats to only focus and trying to downplay what is really happening in Panamanian and why, and also what really took place on that particular day!
It was hard to watch this whole video without wanting to vomit 🤢.
I will continue to follow the channel but I know not to believe everything I see or hear here.

    6. real quick here… climate activists ? i would call them something else. they are ok and insist on blocking traffic. but all thise vehicles sitting, enginess running, exhaust coming out… is ok ? vehicle exhaust going into the atmosphere for no purpose. where is there logic ?

    7. If it were up to me, protestors blocking roads (without permission and a convenient detour for the public) would have the right to one warning and five minutes to comply. If they failed to comply and GTFO of the way in 5 minutes, everyone else would have the right to use the protestors as speed bumps and keep it moving.

    8. 8:59 I mean it actually is pretty shocking. I don't know if Matt knows this or not, but shocking isn't necessarily negative. It's synonymous with surprising and people are pleasantly surprised on a regular basis. If it's not shocking, then why'd you cut the clip?

    9. PLEASE READ, MATT (or whoever runs the channel):

First off, I'm glad you don't condone Kennith's actions. As you said its murder, plain and simple, and anyone who thinks he did nothing wrong is morally compromised. That being said, there's some key details to this story you've left out. I don't know if this was due to time, lack of knowledge, or what, but here's what you need to know. These "Climate Protesters," as every media outlet seems to be calling them, are not a bunch of left-wing nutjobs. These are your everyday citizens who are fed up with the Government's incompetence. The deal that was struck with the Canadian company is devastating for Panama. Panama will only be receiving 2% of the profits each year (as opposed to the normal rate of ~40% for these kinds of deals) and the copper-mining out in the rainforest will utterly decimate the environment, destabilizing it and potentially destroying the Canal. Panama NEEDS the Canal in order to survive so the fact that this deal was signed in the first place is mind-boggling. It's actually been a matter of contention in Panamanian politics for decades now. Every so often, the government examines the law stating that the rainforest is off-limits for mining, deforestation, etc. and it wasn't until 2014 that they caved into a lucrative offer. (Note an actual deal wasn't signed until this year, they just "opened the door" to allow offers). However, there is still time to revoke this change. Panama has been seeing protests recently which rival the protests against Noriega in size. This one deal threatens the livelihood of everyone in the country and even the world if the Canal fails. I really can't understate how upset Panamanians are at this. Lastly, the reason the protesters have been allowed to occupy the highway for so long is because they have the full, legal right to do so. Just like in America, freedom of protest is imperative to let the voices of the citizens be heard. Back in Noriega's day, protesters would be shot, jailed, and killed to silence criticism, my family being some of the affected. As long as they aren't doing anything illegal, the police have no impetuous to remove them. If you're only allowed to (peacefully) protest at certain times and locations, then its not a right, its a privilege that can be revoked anytime by the government. Hopefully this gets to you, and feel free to ask questions.

      Sincerely,
      A Panamanian

    10. Greetings from Panama. All the independent media is DOING THE MISTAKE of applying USA culture to understand whats going on in Panamá.
1- We been doing strikes sinde almost a month. The reason IS NOT PURELY FOR THE ENVIRONMENT, but as against our government selling power to foreigner mining corporation.
2- We don't have the environmental lunatics YOU have. You can look in videos HOW BIG the peaceful protest were in general. BUT there are two groups that mostly start chaos: SUNTRACS(classical communist labor guild, anti lgbtq) and native indigenous. They both are the ones closing the highways and preventing food, work, gasoline, etc. Then other groups also participate but are less dangerous than Suntracs and natives. The group the old man shot were TEACHERS. Teachers here are still mostly Christian, conservative and traditional, but often very mistreated by the government, they are sent very far away into remote areas to teach, often underpaid and even late payed!
3- That old guy is Panamenian, we have the diversity of races progressive wish, MINUS the progresistas leftism and wokeness.
4- Theres VIDEO of what happened. You're all making commentary on pictures and foreigner interpretation (which is wrong) not understanding shit about context here. I did the same mistake years ago and I misunderstood Trump and MAGA, I realized as I was getting into American culture and watching independent media.

    11. You know nothing of what is happening in Panama , those weren’t climate activists , they were teachers who were peacefully demonstrating their right to protest. The whole country has been on massive demonstrations against a copper mining contract that is putting at risk our whole biodiversity , who gives the right to other foreign countries to come to our nation and take everything they want without actually checking the consequences at the long term. If you could actually read the whole story the last contract has been found unconstitutional and that’s why the present this one which is as bad as the one before but sadly we live in a country where corruption prevails and that’s why we are stuck in this situation now. But not even in a million years would a Panamenian shot another just because of a road block. People defending someone who murdered because of this are awful human beings. I can’t believe the lack of sympathy and ignorance you live in.

    12. Its like if i were to go to a bar and start insulting random people. Eventually someone is gonna stand up and knock me out. Its wouldnt be shocking it be an inevitability.

    13. Your team needs to do better research unless you are trying to push an agenda. I am an expat living in Panama and this was definitely NOT an American. He is a Panamanian lawyer that was born and raised in Colon and spent the majority of his 77 years here and has close ties to the Panamanian VP. It is very reckless and irresponsible to push this narrative that you have posted here.

    14. kinda jealous of these activists. They are able to unite and do these insane ridiculous things and republicans never unite on this kind of level. I mean at least they are being talked about…. republicans need to get with the program and learn how to unite and go viral and actually be HEARD instead of just being in echo chambers.

    15. These ' girls clubs ' are bored and have the need for socializing. They get exercise and FEEL better. They are members of the ' FEEL GOOD CLUBS' in line with the 'WOKE' popularity (for the moment) Scholars, scientists testify nothing to these intentions of FEAR.

    16. Climate activism is an anti human death cult. That’s why they go after art so frequently. It’s not about emissions, or pollution, or waste. It’s about the audacity of humans to exist and manipulate nature. Nature is holy, humans are parasites. These people are evil.

    17. I don't agree with someone shooting two human beings, two wrongs don't make it right. I don't support the climate activists they are a pain. I don't agree with some taking the law into their own hands and murdering people.

    18. Very missinformed video. You see one article from some american news outlet and make a whole argument without even making a proper research of why is the road blocked or even if those people who died were even climate activists.

The answer is: no, they were not climate activists, they were teachers who were protesting against a mining company in Panama with an inconstitutional contract signed by the government that gave them rights to exploit the land.

I suppose the "climate" part of the protest falls under the fact that besides the inconstitutionality of the contract, people are also protesting to conserve the rainforests that is planned to be deforested to achieve said mining. This is not only harmful for Panama, but the world, since Panama is a biological corridor that connects south and north America. Also, mining in Panama could result in the polution of the water needed for the Canal to operate. Panama is no place for mining due to its size and geographical position.

    19. You sounds like one of them muslims when terrorist attack happens.
It's 100% shocking that this dude just kill two people. He could beat the sh*t out of those protestors and rightfully so, but to kill them?

    20. "Green" money is a scam for the government to give millions to their elite friends who proclaim they are going green. Oh yeah their going green all the way to the bank….😊
