One of those super-clear, super-bright days had ‘Dales Run’ written all over it.
A chilly start with the first frost of the season meant the winter kit saw daylight again.
Pedalling through Carelton – Gargrave – Hetton – Cracoe – Buckden then returning via Burnsall – Bolton Abbey – Addingham.
My first hundred miler since August Bank Holiday, and my first ton on the winter bike.

    Shot, edited, uploaded in 4k.
    Go on, treat yourself.

    1. Hell fire Gordon, could have bumped into you! We went out along Wensleydale past Castle Bolton up Aysgarth and over to Kettlewell. Park Rash doesn’t get any easier as I get older 😂beautiful back over Coverdale.
Laughed about your idea to go around the block if you were short of your 100, I had to do a lap of our village last year after meeting some old cycling friends near Stokesley and coming back over Leyburn and reaching my house on 98.5 miles.
Thanks for a great video 👍🚴🏼‍♂️

    2. Have cycled all those Wharfedale roads too – very beautiful area (apart from the Bolton Abbey tourists!) – you're cranking out awesome mileages! Have you ever cycled up and over the long hill to Hawes?

    3. Great ride, Gordon and what a day it was to be out on a bike! Watching your videos always makes me want to up the resolution on mine as those Dales landscapes look so good! Was out Holmfirth way with a few from the local club, overdressed for the climbs but still finished with feet like blocks of ice. Challenging day to get the layers right on a longish ride! Keep the videos coming, they're great!

    4. It is a lovely part of the world to ride your bike Gordon, We must have crossed paths on this day. I was cycling along the same lanes around Cracoe. It was busy too !
Me and Mike cycled over 90 miles and had lunch at Grassington. It was cold all day to me but great to have the sharp images from the quality of the sun light.

    5. The A59 is shut till the end of November, mate. Hence extra traffic on the side roads. Just got back from a week in Skipton, i did keep an eye out for you, but not lucky enough to see you. Keep up the good work 👍🏻

    6. Well done on getting the ton done Gordon. It was a little chilly up here first thing as well. I chose to wait until the afternoon to head out though, for a few hours. Bet the views in real life were stunning.
