    1. Ooh what a beauty 🥰. I actually prefer the sound of a Powervalve with standard pipes – don't look as cool though. My bro-in-law is rebuilding an '84 one of those – identical. I had an' 85 F1 back in the day – same but fully faired. Fun fact: top fairing and screen shared with the mighty 500LC. Loved that 350. Also, I wonder where Paul picked his Powervalve up? Pretty sure that's an old Dorset reg. Great vid, keep 'em coming 👏

    2. Great bike. I have one in my garage. They are fun little bikes. Easy to work on, good parts availability.
The YPVS is very refined for a two stroke. Smooth power delivery and stable handling. The older air cooled RD's are more primitive, but I like their ornery personality; they like to be ridden hard, keeping the revs high. They are not happy riding slow through town.
The YPVS is more Jekyll and Hyde. Calm, but tractable when ridden sedately through town, but fully capable hooligan mode when you call upon Mr . Hyde! The best of both worlds.
We never had the LC in the US. We had to envy you guys in the UK. Thank God Yamaha gave us the YPVS!!!!
      Enjoy the bike. Ride safe.

    3. Had both in the same colours.
The 350 had me laughing all the way to the courthouse and a+e on many an occasion. The 500 drew attention wherever i went on it.
      I paid £1295 for the 350 in 1985 and £3,000 for the 500 a few years later.

    4. Just subscribed to your Chanel mainly for the 2stroke content as there's so little of 80 2stroke bikes being ridden on YouTube . I also watched you riding a RD350 and NSR250 and it's so good to see this as I also grew up with 2strokes and still love them. I've owned 7 TZR's(2 ×125 and 5×250s) and a few other 2strokes(I still own a TZR250 2ma)So I look forward to seeing more on 80s 2 strokes in the future. Btw I'm not sure if you mentioned it but did you own RGVs and KR1S's back in the day🤔

    5. These 2 and an RG500 all uncorked and properly tuned and I would die in a delirious state of absolute Ecstasy! 🤪 Back to the insane days of my youth indeed!

    6. Bought one brand new in oct 83 ,what fun for an 18yr old it was loved the fact you could get to the speedo stop in 5th and then click into 6th

    7. We had 2 left in our warehouse in 1987. I almost bought the Kenny Roberts version but i ended up with an 87 Kawasaki ZX1000R instead in black.I never regretted my decision i just wish i could have bought both but the wife and I had just built a new house so funds were a bit tight. Both of those are great machines!

    8. 😀 i did have the same too and exacly the same couler ,missing those twostroke the smell the noise, fast and the power , areal man bike …..

    9. We are thoroughly spoilt with modern brakes. I rode my s3 kwaka for the first time recently after getting it recommissioned – the brakes on that are a real wake up call i can tell you.

    10. Uma das maneiras de 'voltar no tempo', é a lembrança desse som inesquecível, e a sensação de prazer de acelerar essas 'máquinas maravilhosas do tempo' …
      Parabéns!
