This TransEurope Bike Tour covered about 2,500 miles, cycling from Portishead UK to Istanbul Turkey. This bicycle trip sparked my love โค๏ธof traveling the world ๐ŸŒŽ, either bike touring or bikepacking. From England, a ferry took us from Harwich to Rotterdam. The Netherlands was pancake ๐Ÿฅž flat cycling. Next was lots of climbing โ›ฐ๏ธ thru Belgium, Luxembourg, and Germany in the rain, and even a severe flood ๐ŸŒง๏ธ. Then, we mostly followed the Danube thru Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia then headed south thru Bulgaria into Turkey. We were totally self-supported. Our camping gear (in case of emergency) wasn’t used. We stayed at simple inns or B&Bs, booking only a day in advance, and eating at every local cafe and restaurant we found. We carried clothes, toiltries, and emergency food using rear panniers. Other city stops on the route included Stuttgart, Munich, Vienna, Bratislava, Belgrade, Novi Sad, Nis, Sofia, Ederine. At start, dipped the back tire in the Bristol Channel in England ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ, and ended dipping the front tire into the Sea of Marmara in Turkey ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท, looking into Asia. Video stops in Sofia, Bulgaria ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฌ. Thanks Mike & Royce, my travelling companions.
    Enjoy! ๐Ÿ˜Š
