LR looking at race weight
The time is ripe for LRCP+.
From USA: “Cool preview, can’t wait to never see this team or any races live ever again.”
When do the transfers can you put the list again of leaving and joining?
Otherwise so happy for 18 Videos of Team Previews
*Starts in alphabetical order with Alpecin
AG2R: "Am I a joke to you?"
As a long time fan of Lanterne Rouge I am hyped for this preview, as a fan of Wout’s yearly cobblestoned monuments campaign not so much 😭 The Van Aert camp needs a W at some point
Most interesting guy for me is Luca Vergallito. He was the Zwift winner 2022 and held many important KOMs before he entered the Alpecin dev team for 2023. He has been promoted to the pro team for 2024.
Appreciate the potential GCN update guys. Thanks. Otherwise we're screwed🇿🇦🇿🇦 Great show.
So pumped having this to listen to while I set up for thanksgiving dinner. God bless, boys!
When it comes to MVDP at the Tour, I think the risk of him crashing in a sprint leadout is very high….maybe too high to send him, or at least to not make it worth it to send him, if he doesn't do leadouts
VDP won't do Amstel. His main target in spring will be RVV and I think it's even a slight possibility that he skips Roubaix to prepare for Nove Mesto. He will do 2-3 MTB world cups before the Tour and preferably a couple of other MTB races if they can find any that fits the schedule. He might finish the Tour but might also step off on the first or second rest day. I don't think they really look beyond olympics yet but Vuelta, MTB and/or road + gravel worlds may be options depending on how many stages he does in the Tour and how his MTB racing goes. Philipsen and Groves will do well again. I think one of them will win Gent-Wevelgem.
I also expect the new guys, especially Kielich, Laurance and Van Tricht, to step up and give the team more depth. And Hermans as well if he gets a better program (more rest, no Basque country) and avoids getting hypothermic and sick at Brabantse Pijl.
Doing better than this season on results will be almost impossible but they can get close and have more wins and strong performances across the team.
LR taking the GCN+ viewers with 1 hour+ videos only, and I love it!
Yea Roubaix was really awesome win, it was like Jasper helped him get Roubaix and Mathew helped him get 4 tour stages. seems fair
Inofficial LR 2024 Win-Predictions Tracker
Alpecin-Deceuninck (17 in 2022) – Benji 13 / Patrick 12
TOTAL: Benji 13 / Patrick 12 (out of 179 race wins including GCs)
"Dan wint Paeskens de ronde"
Christoph Roodhooft
Can we please see what Luke looks like?
How good is MvdP that it's a hot take that he doesn't win a monument🤣
Talking about MVDPs schedule, don’t forget he will have to race MTB world cups before the Olympics so he can have a good start position. He said that was important after he did the MTB test event in France this year. He might transition over to that after spring classics and skip ardennes.
C'mon guys, do your homework before a preview like this. MvdP will focus on MTB races after Roubaix. Amstel and Giro are totally out of the question.
FYI, GCN+ ends December 19th, so please talk about our available options before then. Don't want to miss all the Christmas 'cross races.
Daaayummnnn its november and we're getting into the previews 😎 I'm G'd up!!!
What you guys have is the complete package. Not only are you thorough but your presentation is perfect. Long time listener
Exactly what we needed after the GCN bummer.
Thank you guys, brilliant like always!!!
Is Patrick in his grandparents house for Thanksgiving?
One hour team preview. No 20-30 min weak sauce like those fuckbois at Cycling Dane.
Do they get 4 TDF stages without MVDP?
I predict that Philipsen will put someone in the hospital with his dangerous riding. Shame on the officials for allowing this to continue by not penalizing him.
Yes these are my favourite videos of the year
We need something to replace gcn+. 2024 is looking bleak
lol go shut your fridge man, jks we couldn't hear it either😂
MVDP should definitely do the Tour, you don't want to miss the opportunity to do the TdF wearing the rainbow jersey!
I would lire to see MVDP going a bit different calendar, going with less clasics and focus on LBL which I think he can win. And then do the giro and a big MTB block with the olympics. And try to win the Worlds again. Like if he tried to turn into more of a classic climber.
Hot take: Philipsen will go back to UAE (he's a good friend with Pogačar) and he will be shit like every sprinter that goes to UAE.
For reference, there were 164 WT wins up for grabs inc. GC this year, not if there are any changes next year?
We need a segment where you review last year's predictions as well
Vergallito is often called with his Strava nickname: "Il Bandito".
If you refer to him as Il Bandito you'll gain a lot of reputation with Italian listeners of the podcast ❤
"Chat-GPT generated races" LOL i deeply missed LR's biting commentary
My favorite thing is Benji being bewildered by Patrick's english phrases like "when the chickens come home to roost"
It's true, teams sacrifice and plan a season around the chance for a rider like VDP to win worlds, but then VDP wears rainbow stripes all year for the team, not the national team.
