These TOUGH hike-a-bikes paid off.
Ben Jones MTB provided this trip for free, but you guys on Patreon paid for me to get there: http://patreon.com/bkxc

The final ride of the Lake to Lake trip was fantastic. We did two brutal hikes, and they wore my butt out. But we had three (I think?) amazing descents. Some of the steepest stuff I’ve ridden in a long time (GoPro doesn’t do it justice). Sweet views, crazy riding and a completely fantastic week. This is mountain biking. Filmed Sept. 28, 2018.

I won’t be posting the GPS tracks from most of these rides, as the “off the beaten path” routes that took weeks to scout and piece together are why this trip is so special.

  1. I kept waiting for some old timer to step out of his doorway or an old woman to swing a broom at you when you were cruising through those tight little sidewalks and stairways. Loved seeing the glimpses of the villages and those incredible trails made for a burro!

  2. With scenery like that, you really put the "pic" in epic! Thanks for letting us like vicariously through you and the "Lake to Lake" posse! 😉

  3. Love that open ridge to the end and the eurben assault to finish it off. Reminds me of the laten American city downhill races they have. Why to go nuggets, you conquered another fantastic overseas trip.

  4. Very cool trip. I am not sure about the laughing, i get a cringe out of it, but cringe fast i cannot watch Jimmy Fallon as well. But it is minor and i do not mean to be rude and you are a swell guy and all, but at some point i decided to say it, maybe on behalf of others as well. This is very nice footage man, again appreciated. All the best.

  5. True "Cross Country" "Trail". Don't you hate it when people stop in the middle of the trail. My riding buddies used to pull that crap, lol. Then I started yelling "Track" at the top of my lungs, I screamed it, right before I hit them. They caught on pretty quickly rofl. When I stop, I assume someone is behind me every single time. I could be alone and 15 miles out, still I pull off the trail each and every time. hugs

  6. As much as I love Brian's commentary I love the time he goes silent too. Its those times when we know the ride is so technical that his mind is completely in it and now where else. Awesome job Brian.

  7. i would really love to see you + alex + seth heading to the alps. Maybe something for this year? ;-). Ride the alps epic in Davos Switzerland! greetings from germany

  8. Hey Brian, awesome video as always. How does this work? Are there mtb agencies that you can ask to provide transport close to the top of the trail? If u want a guide but dont have BKXC skills/speed, will they hate you?
