Icon of the seas World’s LARGEST cruise ship by Royal Caribbean.

    Icon of the seas getting ready for second sea trials and Royal Caribbean has officially disclosed the name of second Icon-class ship which will carry the name Star of the Seas for Royal Caribbean International when it debuts in summer 2025.

    Icon of the Seas is a cruise ship under construction for Royal Caribbean International and will be the lead ship of the Icon class. She is scheduled to enter service in 2024. Steel-cutting for Icon of the Seas began on 14 June 2021. On 28 October 2021, Royal Caribbean announced that the first LNG tank for the ship was installed at the Neptun Werft in Rostock, Germany. In December 2021, the floating engine room unit, including the LNG tanks, was towed to Turku by tug. The keel was laid on 5 April 2022. (Wikipedia)

    1. We were on the Symphony of Seas 10-17 Sept 2022. Now we can't wait to see the Icon of the Seas when we will sail on 14-21 Sept 2024. Thanks for the update.

    2. Can’t help but think I wouldn’t want to be the window cleaner.

      An awesome feat of engineering though and I am hoping to have a trip onboard in the not to distant future. Also looking forward to seeing Star of the seas.
