Hi there! I’m a rather new/intermediate cyclist and could use some guidance, especially from anyone that has this same model.

I recently purchased a KICKR core to train with my 2022 Emonda SL6 Rival AXS. I did some research and purchased the XDR hub adapter to make it fit for my bikes groupset, along with a brand new SRAM AXS XG 1250 cassette (10-36t). Greased the knobs and clean/lubed the bike/chains.

After setting everything up and putting my bike onto trainer, it went downhill fast:

1- nasty clicking/screeching sounds (used grease on the bikes original 142 thru axel, freehub)

2- crankset: Can’t seem to properly shift to the large ring while on the trainer. The gear “moves” but the chain doesn’t switch

3-cassette: could not shift to the smaller 11/12 gears and would see a blinking red and green. I tried the pinching button + shift on the right shifter to have it override / didn’t work. It also when over the 1st gear right onto the free hub itself. I’m not using the spacer that came with the Wahoo XDR adapter because SRAM said it wasn’t required for 12speed system like mine.

4- chain tension/ there also noticeable lack of tension in the chain itself. When I stop peddling, or even do a slight reverse pedal, it drops onto the frame and scratches it.

To ensure this wasn’t a groups alignment issue, I replaced the rear wheel and went through all the gears/chain rings. No issues at all.

It’s beyond frustrating for a few reasons:

– this chewed away at my lower rear bracket of my bike, although I followed each instruction (available by wahoo/sRAM/YouTubers) to a T

– you have to buy an freehub adapter $100 , and it shipped in a clear plastic bag with no instructions. Everything online seems quite generic.

Please help!
Thank you!
