We thought we knew a thing or two about climbing but the steep hills of Devon have us gasping for air. While searching for a camp spot we have an intense moment with a herd of young and inquisitive cows. We have a wonderful meeting with two friends and they provide us with some valuable life advise. A deep dive into England’s past provokes the imagination and brings history to life… all that in typical British weather fashion 😉

    1. Editing has not been easy lately but we are now back at it again continuing our new series Bicycle Touring the UK. Exploring England has been a great joy with so many layers to unravel and learn from. What are your experiences travelling here or maybe you are planning to go somewhere in the future? Have a great day! E&M

    2. ❤❤❤
      I envy you ,
I like to bike around the world too ,
To go where no one has gone before !

To discover , to explore , to experience life .!

      ❤❤❤❤❤

      Perhaps one day !

    3. I love the way cows line up like that, all curious and each getting a good view. Reminds me of a time when I was younger, wandering through fields and coming across a field of cows. My friend and I lay down to see what they did, and to enjoy looking up at the sky. When we sat up, the cows had formed an observational semi-circle around us. They have such huge soft eyes. ❤🐄

    4. Nice to see Uphill appear on your video – a familiar location from my childhood as I grew up near there, and a little gem of a place. Those hills in the south west certainly are a challenge, but I expect they probably served to condition you for Wales! I live in southern England and love touring the UK.

    5. Ah, the cows! Part and parcel of our wild-camping trips! Never had trouble with them. In my experience they are very cautious and will always avoid the tent. We've woken up on mornings to see cows just outside the tent staring at us. We don't go out of our way to find them, but they find us! One came up to eat in front of me once and a calf once lay down next to me when I sat on a bench. I've always found them gentle and curious, but, yes, you wouldn't want to risk spooking them. I love them. We're vegetarians, too, so my gf always "tells" the cows they're safe with us!

    6. You guys are wonderful. Humble, inspiring and very helpful to people that want to take up same interest. Means much to me, thank you. Matt from maine

    7. I'm so tired of hearing people say not to take life "too seriously" and not explaining what their standard of measurement is. What is too serious? I think they feel obliged to say this because they themselves don't want to be seen as self centered or self interested because according to the dominant morality all over the world, one is not supposed to be concerned with one's own good but only the good of others. I think that one's own life and happiness should be the central concern and therefore there is no such thing as taking life too seriously. We're all dying every day. One should take that seriously and think really hard about what we want to do with the one life we have. For someone to say this is being "too serious" then I don't know what to think about that person other than they don't take their life seriously at all and they want it known. I think that's depraved.

    8. Don't come to Missouri. They don't follow contours there, they just build the road straight and it goes up 300 ft, then down 300 ft. over and over again all the way accross.

    9. Like humans, animals can be really nosey. Lol. Just as long as you do not present "food" to them, they will watch and leave. Anything that sounds like food and they will become your best friend. All in your space. 😅
